Oh ouch! Why Irvey? I'm crying right now - it's a shame you can't see it - but I'm still off to read the next one.

Ai...get out the kleenex is right...**sniffle**. And I thought the end of "Teasing" made me cry. I had always held out hope in my own mind that they somwhow got back together after that...but now....**wipes at eyes** Argh.

I got around to reading this today first in my email, now here, and I'm grateful to you for writing it. Deathfics depress me, but this one wasn't nearly as violent as it could have been. In a twisted way, I almost wish there had been more violence; that it's lacking in it is almost creepier than having to see it, since after Irvine blacks out, we don't hear anything more from that point of view. Which, speaking of points of view, I really enjoy reading your Irvine. It gets distracting sometimes that you write him with an accent (apostrophes included) and with sentences that start off with words like "hell" and "fuck," words that can detract from the rest of the sentence. Overall, though, it's more interesting than it is a distraction. I think it adds more than it detracts.

Normally, in a fic like this, focused more on the death of Irvine, I wouldn't be pleased with inclusion of a sex scene. And yet, the more I read it, the more I accept that it's not bad placement, nor is it bad form. I'm not one to slander SquallxIrvine, anyway, not when I asked for it and Squall is being nicely dominating while still in character, as far as I can see.

I should probably have emailed my thoughts to you, but I thought it would be nicer to leave a review when no one else appears to be getting a hint and doing that!
