There's a word that people sometimes use as a way of indicating that someone was just talking.
It's 'said.'
As in, 'Cid said' or 'said Cid.'
I find it amazingly mind-boggling that you wrote that huge fucking block of text that passed as a 'sex scene,' but couldn't find the fucking time to simply write:
“Damn. . . why me." SAID Cid.
The beautiful thing is that you don't even have to use 'said'! There have to be hundreds of variations of that word, depending on HOW the character was talking!
“Oh hell, I love ya!” Shouted Cid.
“I wonder if your friends are awake?” Wondered Darla.
Whispered, screamed, yelled, cried, announced, answered, argued, begged, stated, sobbed, sighed, uttered, informed, inquired.
Me, "CHOOSE ONE! This isn't a fucking script!"
