I so rarely read/enjoy CidVin fics, but this was really good. A million thanks for not making Vincent weepy. Character personality is really the biggest factor in whether or not I can stick with a story I'm reading. And they were both just so likable, you had no trouble convincing me of the possibility of the scene. I especially liked the easy comfort between the two at the end, the shared cigarette and coming to the line where Vincent had to pry his gauntlet from the chair tipped me off before the marks left were explicitly stated, and I smiled when I caught that. Only criticism I can think of is that you have a cigarette in Cid's hand, and then suddenly both of his hands are on Vincent. It's hard to tell exactly how much time has elapsed between the cigarette and Vincent's removing his arm from the chair, but it kind of tripped my brain up enough that I noticed and wondered when he put it out.

I have to say, this is my favorite of any CidVin I've read. There's really only one m/m pairing I get into, and this wasn't it, so I didn't expect to enjoy it this much. But the story kept me hooked and even blushing. Yeah, I have to say it ranks way up there.

This is a lovely story. X3 Non-emo Vincent is a rare treat.

Nice... hehe, I love Vincent in this... Cid too. Very hot, and great writing. You somehow managed to get them together without any angsty build up and yet keep them in character at the same time... I didn't think that was possible, well done. I loved it ^_^ Thanks.
