Excellent, again! I'm loving this fic to bits, it's very dark, but you've still brought in a nice dosing of heart in with the angst. Great work, looking forward to more from you, as usual.

Still absolutely loving the story~ ^^
O_O you mean...OMG poor Squall...
And your characterization is still perfect, Seifer was really good this chapter...not that he wasn't before or anything ^^
This may not be your #1 priority but update soon anyway!

Oh, excellent! I'm a touch behind right now, but eagerly catching up again! This is fantastic, I love the twist on Squall, and was especially thrilled that you didn't let him take the easy way out and forget Laguna. Looking forward to more, great writing style.

Wow, that was filled with emotion. I loved it. I can't wait for the next chapter. A 'lion's pride', eh? Makes sense to me. Damn, Cid's turning out to be a right bastard...

Please don't let Squall suffer thinking that his friends won't support him! They will and they need to let him know that they want him to be happy! Great story, I like this one almost as much as strings attached.

have you ever thought of writing a real book? You've got an amazing talent. You carefully look over every little thing and figure out how to make it fit perfectly. Your characters are deep and fascinating, and your storylines are addictive (I think it might be easier to quit smoking haha).
I can't wait till you can update again! I missed reading your stories when my internet died. Thank you for writing this! Also, I'm probably gonna be up for another 2 hours thinking of all the possibilities of what could happen.
I <3 you! You are now #2 on my list of favorite authors (1st is Novala Takemoto, sorry :) hehe

Cid better hope I never come across him or I'll kick him in the teeth. If he wants Squall back so bad, the LEAST he could do is have the balls to go get him himself. If Squall's THAT important to the financial health of Balamb Garden, then leaving the place to reaquire such an asset would not be irresponsible. Stupid dickhead.
And Squall . . . As far as him 'not needing' family . . . Well, they always say you don't know what you have 'til it's gone, which could easily be altered to explain his 'change in behavior': He didn't know what he was missing until he found it.
As for Laguna--if he doesn't like to lie then he better start thinking up some half-truths that simply carry omissions of key facts or he's going to blurt something out accidentally.

Wow, I'd never thought I'd see the day where I'm reading a Laguna x Squall
pairing... but it was worth reading! Nicely written.

You know, I was wondering what Quistis was going to do. It seemed so wrong for her to go to either of the extremes of completely following Cid's orders or blindly, absolutly supporting Squall, so I really like the way you handled her reaction here. Thanks to Cid's order for her to return so he can send someone less emotionally involved, she has an out so she can stay with SeeD yet still try to keep her loyalty to Squall intact. Very nice chapter.
