Redux... hmm, it's much smoother than the original Shattered Ice, and it flows better. I say it's an improvement, though I can't say how much as of yet (nine chapters into an epic is hardly a good judge). So far, I'm enjoying the rewrite.

Oh, and any time I've tried to access your website, I get a "Not Found" page from the host server.

I seriously thought that Vincent was just going to totally loose it and kill Cloud--not that I would have blamed him. Cloud was being a jerk especially when Vincent told him to back-off, which he didn't.

Call it whatever you want, but Cloud's lack of mature was evident when he didn't knot the signs for when to let sleeping dogs lie. It was just a good thing that Cid came downstairs when he did. So, Cloud being the nosey Parker that he was found out something about Cid and Vincent and let's not forget about Reeve. I wonder... will Cloud now talk to Cid about his preference or will he just leave it alone?

The funny thing is that Vincent only talk to Cid.

I loved how the described Vincent's transformation in this. You did a really good job with your description and the others reactions. Yeah for Cid! I like how he defends Vincent in this too! Will be watching for more!

I began reading the Redux first; I didn't pay much attention to the fact that it was the improved version of a story until I hit the last chapter. Then I decided to see if the previous version was still up.

To my delight, it is.

I read the entirety of it in the space of hours; it's quite addictive. A well-written story indeed, an excellent read. Even the changes to the plot were done very smoothly (and besides, I never liked Tifa much anyway).

Thank you for a marvelous story. Now I'm off to read Shattered Dreams!

I simply ADORED this chapter, Vincent's confussion over Cid and how Cid is so mature! *o* and now Cloud knows!! ZOMG please please continue soon!

I spent most of yesterday (from about one in the afternoon to midnight, with breaks for food and the like) reading Shattered Ice, as well as the handful of side stories that are up. I was pleasantly surprised to find how vivid and real your stories are, going beyond most fanfiction authors. Your characters are delightfully fallible, their relationships realistic (in many aspects!). The plotline isn’t a cookie-cutter story hashed together using the original storyline and whatever aspects you like (or didn’t)—it has depth and realism that one is sometimes hard-pressed to find in published works.

I enjoyed being surprised by the twists of fate you included, from Nanaki’s transformation to the Four Demons of the Apocalypse, pleased at how you made aspects I’d never seen before work. I admit, I was skeptical of a Reno/Reeve pairing, but you gave their relationship depth, even though it isn’t really mentioned in the story. I will be eagerly following the sequels, as well as the revamping of this original story.

Yes, I’m longwinded. But hey, I just reviewed forty-plus chapters in less than a half page! Keep up the awesome work.

If you would pardon a grammar comment..."Some child left their snowboard..." maybe it would be better to change "their" to "a", if you don't want to mention a gender. child and their don't seem to match...

Excellent work! I'm loving every moment of this. There's not a lot good Vincent/Cid fics out and I love their interaction. Please continue the fabulous job.
