Lol, I-chan. Archer isn't THAT bad, IMHO. Now...if he made an actual MOVE on Cid, THEN I would say "kick him in the nut's til they fall off".

Great ending, but.... you are NOT supposed to make people sad for the holidays.... now I'm going to buy a pint of ice cream and eat till im happy again....... VINNIE!!!!!! *sobs*

That last chapter was quite long, but I think it gives a good leadup to the sequel!

The fact that this is going to have a sequel makes me a very happy camper. ^_^o The fact that you said there will be something like 10 chapt's of it and the revamped SI in Jan makes me squee~

As for the original fiction, have you thought of making - or having someone make - you a site to archive all your writings? If it fits in with this story then I want to read it, hands down, without a doubt. Most definitely if it gives back story into the summons and their alter egos. Unless of course, it would ruin any surprises in the next story. If that is so, then mayhaps wait until that one is finished to rock our worlds. This is only a suggestion of course, because I have to say I love the essence of surprise you are the master of.

Now for a bit of my ramblings on this fic: The portrayals of Cid and Vincent, all cumulating to the ending was brilliant. Genius. And maybe my fic-dar is off, but I'm getting the feeling that this isn't the 'end' as you will, of Vincent. That we will undoubtedly see the happy ending even if it is another 40 chapters in the making. I also get the tingling of something so big that it's going to blow mine and all the other readers minds.

This _seems_ to be like the first book of a duet where here you have laid the premises and sucked us into this world then used your double barrel shotgun to blow a few holes in us at the end with the extreme angst. At least, that's what I feel like at this point. And I'm clamoring for more. Not just in the respect that I want to see Vin alive again, but where you're going to take us to get to that point.

Not that I have any concrete notions that it's going to happen, I'm just winging it on the off chance I may be right. I have digressed though. SI was the first book; where we were introduced to the characters and given glimpses of something huge going on in the background. Something that none of the characters in the story even could garner the smallest iota of an idea of what was actually taking place. They were just sitting on the sidelines much as I was, and viewing something in the making. Something that is older than them taking force and making itself known in little glimpses as the summons talked to them but never explained as it was unnecessary for the plot to progress in the retelling of events (with a twist - can't forget that ^_~ ).

Now with the companion on the way, SD (if that is going to be the decided title - I personally like it a lot), we are entering unknown territory if you will. The last book we could vaguely guess what was going to happen since it followed game story with its basis. The next books is completely uncharted waters where we as the readers will have nothing to go by but what you give us with each new chapter and any foreshadowing you may include (many thanks for the lovely trailers by the by! They have given me a small hope~).

This excites me. This excites me more than any presents I may get for the holiday (with the exception of doujinshi - which if you want I would be more than glad to spread the love to you in the form of scans, just ask and you shall receive links to where to find). It's been so long since I've read a fic or book where I'm so engrossed in it I die a little bit as each day passes that there hasn't been an update. It almost - ALMOST - makes me wish that I had stumbled across the fics after you had finished so I could read them both in one shot and not have to pine for more. I'm glad I didn't though, since now I get to whine to you to update. ^_^ Hope you don't mind.

Now, some rage: OMG. I wanted to sucker punch Aeris in the face so BAD! I shouldn't hate her for coming back and Vin taking her place, but DAMNIT I want to mess her up! She had me seething with bitter hate that only a yaoi fangirl can produce when confronted with a choice like that. BUT! I want to sucker punch Mr. K. Archer even more. I want to punch him in his face then stab him in the kidney. Wow, I'm so full of hate right now! I'm surprised at myself, hn.

Okay, maybe that's overdoing it a bit. Howabout this: Clock Aeris, steal her boots, then kick Archer in the nuts. Repeatedly.

That gives me happy thoughts. ^_^

*coughs* Anyway, excellent job on this fic! So excellent that I'll be refreshing the main page of AFF.net until I see your next installment. Really! Even though you said not till Jan - it doesn't matter! You own my soul.

And now, I shut up. Rejoice. ^_~

The proposal scene was adorable though and I squealed.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. Maybe I'll do both. Whichever I end up doing, you can be sure that I'm most definately looking forward to the sequel.

I want to first off tell you that I finally made an account for myself, so the next time you see me reviewing, it'll probably be under "WhatTimesAreIt"! Alrighty then, onward! OH. MY. GOD. I felt my heart literally drop when reading the part about Vincent and his sacrafice. And poor Cid! God! I felt for him immensely, the pain and suffering he must be going through. What a tear jerker. It reminds me of the story I'm in the process of editing (not trying to advertise and take up your spotlight here, but I hope you, and everyone else will check it out when I post it here in the next few weeks - it's a Cid/Vin, too ^_^ )!

Anyway, I'm just glad there's still hope (thanks to those excerpts from the next installment!) Actually, I'm not sure if Cid will find Vincent, because I really wasn't expecting what happened - yes I'm complimenting your skill for twists and turns! You did such a good job, absolutely loved this story and I'm thinking about reading it again here soon when I have the time. So please, please, please get your buns workin' on the next parts, cause I don't know if I can wait to find out what happens!
