I just about died of squee when I saw your email, and the chapter was just as fantastic as I hoped. The sex was really well-written in terms of both grammar and description; having Cid's POV makes it even better. The 'story' was /great/ - so not the thing you'd expect from Cid, yet it fits. The way you had him say 'time passed' was very well-executed, and I loved the details. I sense angst on the horizon, but if the eventual end is happy for them, I'm okay with that.
...man, this fic is SO going to be highlighted in the Valenwind fic archive as one of the very best.

This is probably my all-time favorite Valenwind fic, or at least close to it - and mind you I've literally read dozens of them. In this fic you combined two of my favorite things: CidxVincent and fluff. I'm a sucker for fluff, so this is just perfection. There are some mistakes, but I honestly don't care because this is extremely well-written and the plot is peerless. By the way, if you're ever having trouble with what to write or anything, email me - I'd be more than happy to help with such a magnificent fic. Perhaps my favorite thing was Chaos's speech pattern - so oddly fitting. I'd say more, but this is really long, so... yeah.

Holy crap. This is one of the BEST fics I have EVER read! Not only because having Cid uke to Vince is beyond hot and feels so right. Not only because the idea of Cid kinda flirting with pain is hot. Not only because you wrote Cid's POV like you were channeling him perfectly and clearly. Not only because their love was realistic and not just sissy fluff (as opposed to your authentic fluff). It's all those things and SO much more! I had to finish reading this all in one sitting, because I just could not stop. I've been trying to read as many C/V fics as I can since the summer after FF7 was released, and yours was a beautiful discovery, and quite the pleasure to read! My only complaint (which really isn't a complaint, more of a request) is that you might one day have a fic on details for Cid's almost-addiction to the Regen materia? The way he phrased it, especially about how he suspected Vince knew, really intrigued me. I would love to read about them talking about it and whatnot. Also, yes, like I said, it was SUPERBLY HOT. Not gratuitous in the slightest, and romantic in the way those two boys worked with it. THANK YOU for taking the time to write such a fascinating and well crafted fanfic <3

Hiya! Just been reading the story - took me nearly two days, but I'm glad I read it. I LOVE the way you write Vincent, he's completely and utterly in-character. Cid is...well, he's not as foul-mouthed and gruff as I usually like him, but still very good. The relationship between the two is very interesting - almost obsessive, really. But then again, I've always said there's a fine line between passion and obsession, and that doesn't just apply to relationships.
You're also extrodinarily good at writing lemons - I think it's because you incorporate desire into it, not merely XXX porn. I think the S&M thing was pretty good too - I'm not into pain or likewise either, but you pulled it off well. It seems like...I dunno, the sort of thing Vincent might try, to confront his own inner demons, if in a somewhat forceful manner. But then, Vincent doesn't seem the sort of character who would do things half-measure.
Since the story isn't finished yet, I'd appreciate it if you could email me when you update - just so I know to read the next chapter - and review as well, obviously. If that's not too much to ask, of course...

Hehehe. I love Cid's reaction to the whole 'hanging up the blanket' thing. Hilarious. Also, the way Cid's and Vincent's relationship is going, it's almost as if they WERE in one of those romance books. Loves it all.

Mmmm, terribly sorry that it took me so long but I FINALLY got around to reading this. I spend so much time on my own stuff that I rarely read anymore. But! I'm glad I did. It was a nice break from the angst and drama I tend to pour on my stories.

Very fluffy and cute and it made me smile and go awwwww. There were some very original ideas in there that make a lot of sense to me and I really like the S&M element. Uke!Cid is uncommon but not entirely improbable. If done right. Which you have!

I must say though. Me and the Brady Strategy Guide are best buddies as well and I, too, was pissed that it claims to have every materia except the Enemy Skills. Doesn't list them or tell you where to get them. Grr.

Long story short. I enjoyed it, look forward to reading more. Vincent's characterization is great. I was very pleased to see that you didn't go the Suicidal!Vincent route. And Cid's just one of those characters that is really easy to write. Loved your Reno and Rude, always happy to see those two, especially Reno. And your Cloud was great, too. I especially loved Cid's comment on his overgrown hunk of metal sword. And Marlene's claim that a monster had 'Uncle Cid'. It was priceless.

I'm happily awaiting the next update and look forward to it. Thanks for the mention!
