Incredible work, this story really has me hooked - I just love your way with words and your portrayal of the characters. This latest chapter had me on the edge of my seat, I absolutely love it.

(12) Degrading... Vincent is finally getting his wish and is torn a bit. Loosing his demons must be painful. As much as he hated the addition, they wre part of him for so long and he is suffering alone! Again! He never learns in that.
He finds a group he is happy with and feeling connected again. Seifer makes him move and all Vinny thinks is how he can't be left alone again, instead of, I can be happy again before I die. or I may not have to die alone! For it looks like it will only be him and Chaos in the end, if this pattern hold true. Vincent makes my heart hurt... he has been through so much. *sigh*
You write Vincent so well.

i really liked these past couple of chapters.. they're less sad and more upbeat, but only just a little... i guess it's because vincent finally has people he could talk to... i think it was a good move on your part also that you left the squall-vincent relationship as one between father and son... it somehow fits more for them, especially with the way you linked squall's character with reeve's... now i'm interested to find out what will happen in the next chapter with irvine and seifer...
i also noticed that you're slowly changing the way vincent things about the orphanage gang... he used to call them by their last names, even in his thoughts, but it's slowly changing to their first names...

Oh. What a wonderful chapter! (11) Vincent being one of them... even if he isn't a teenager or a member of SEED as Selphie pointed out.
Squall needs the father figure more than a lover (since his father is more like a child in his nature as it is)... he can have that in Zell who is more than willing to do so... (phallic obsession indeed!)
Vincent doesn't need to be with someone that is so like him... it wouldn't work out for them, I don't think anyway. I am interested in how his relationship with Siefer that you hinted at will develop now.
I belive that you did a smooth transition between 7 and 8.
I am worried about his cough though. He has never been ill before and I know he has a thing against doctors (who could blame him) but he really should at least ask his demons what is going on with his body, if they will still talk to him.
