Oh my heart! It swells with warm fluffy feelings! I love that ending with Cloud revealing he had been playing matchmaker all along. That was great! I truly love all of your Hojo/Vincent stories. You've made me a fan for sure and I don't know if Kanaye is canon but it is to me now. Hojo will always be Kanaye in my heart. Thank you for sharing this story with us 8D

I'm not sure there are words enough in this world to express what I feel about this fic and the way it is. But I'll give it a try ;D
I love the portraying of characters. They are just the way I thought they would be. And I love the spin that you did on the never-but-always-there Lucretia. I've always seen her through the eyes of Vincent so I throughly enjoyed watching her in Hojo's eyes and mind.
I love the feelings. The bitterness, the hurt, violence, the spite, the hate, the want to hurt and tear the other one to pieces.
I love how in the beginning there is nothing gentle between the two. And the way it oh so slowly starts to change.
A few things they said stuck in my mind.
Vincent: "I hate you so much I cherish you." It sums up perfectly how nemesis's should feel about each other. There is not one without the other.
And Yuffie about the pendant: "It feels like... love." That was beautiful :)
The ending in the epilogue was perfect. To think that Cloud orchestrated it all! x) It's priceless and perfect :D

There rarely are any good Vincent/Hojo stories out there, but your story is awesome. I especially liked how submissive and loyal Hojo is to Vincent and how aggressive Vincent is in the story. I hope write more stories like this in the future. please continue.

Just so you know, it's 3 a.m. right now, and I honestly considered going to bed and all, but somehow I ended up reading THIS. At first I was like "wtf, Hojo less than a light year from the Merry Band and still breathing? O.o". Then, I don't even remember the moment when it happened, my eyes ended up kinda glued to the screen, and I wonder how in the hell I managed not to get drool all over my keyboard... it's not just the porn, which is brain-melting by the way, but THE INTERACTION, and the chemistry that is just SO THERE, and that scene when Vincent laughs and surprises the ever-loving crap out of everyone... This is pure awesome. Undiluted.
Whoa. It's amasing how my language and composing skills shoot up after indulging in some really good reading with what seems like a nasty cold developing... almost in the middle of the night to boot. So I'm shutting up. No, wait, one more time I'll say it: AWESOME. Thank you very much for writing this.

I've read this one thrice now. I just love it. It's beautiful.
You've taken a completely unrealistic, nearly impossible pairing and have not only made it one of the best reads I have ever encountered, but have also crafted such a sinfully alluring picture that your reader is eagerly and ecstatically convinced. It's the way it always was, and the way it always should be, no questions asked. I am a great admirer of such an accomplishment.
In fact, this fic is so good, I haven't missed Paper Tiger for a whole month... I've seriously just been happy chewing away on this.
I do miss you now though. I went for a road trip and now, three weeks later, I return to find you're still royally MIA.

Dear Savaial only you and your incredible creative muse, can make me feel such an emotional response to your stories. I always considered Hojo the true evil Monster of the piece even more than Shin-Ra or Sephiroth...but you made him the enlightened Hero of Piece... only you could do that I think?
Now you have given me a new impression of evil itself... perhaps in someway evil can be in all of us in some form or degree... Yet after reading your story, I get the impression we can all be saved by love and forgiveness, if we only endeavor to control or excise our own evil demons...with compassion and forgiveness for ourselves... above all else.
Evil doesn't have to be forever... it can be a temporary state! And the Righteous don't have to be perfect, just be kind.

At first I thought it was Ooc, but when I read it further I understood and loved it. It's wonderful and different, I absolutely adored the ending, you made a wonderful job, I also liked this pairing, misunderstood, and hate becomes pure love. Thanks for writing this jewel! :3

Do you have any idea what you've done to me, you terribly wonderful author you??...You've made me like HOJO! This guy is normally my idea of a saturday squicktacular...Intelligence, charisma, and lack of ethics or morals, all wrapped in a tentacly package. *shudder.* I'm all reading along, thinking I should be creeped out as usual by his sadistic mad scientist ass, and you make him into a sane, honorable guy trying to make up for his past mistakes! Add in the masochistic streak, and you satisfy my urge to bash him a few times for Sephiroth's sake too.
