*sighs happily* Many thanks, and I completely understand. I haven't managed to get on a comp in about a week, and now I feel WAAAY behind....
I've got stories to type, fics to read, people to respond to, a co-writer to nag so I can get those chapters back, edited, and posted....
*sigh* In other words, I've a lot to do. Oh, and Christmas shopping. Ooh, crap.
Wait, I can just forget half of the presents! Hah! Because my family ranges from awesome to handcuff-me-now-please-officer. Example? My grandfather and step mother.
My grandfather's a good cook, doesn't mess with anyone who doesn't mess with him or his family, and he sticks up for the people he cares about. (Heh heh, he dislikes and disapproves of my step mom so intensely that, even totally wasted, he wouldn't let anyone take pics of him at my dad's wedding. My step mom's a hag. Yes, I have a right to say that. She tried to mentally abuse me for about nine years, and then I decided that not even my dad's happiness was worth me having to deal with the stress that came from holding my temper around her. My dad tried to say, "You should be the mature one, then, and be civil to her." I gave him The Look and replied, "Dad, I did that for nine years, for the most part. I haven't once hit her on purpose, and the one time I did hit her, it was an accident, her chin hit me halfway between my elbow and wrist, and she swore up and down that I punched her. If she can be civil to me, I'll try my best to be civil to her. But if she starts anything, I'll finish it. You think I should be mature? I am. I'm going to let her be the one initiating hostilities. Nine years was enough, thanks. And no, you couldn't do better, so don't even try to say you could." *grin* What really pissed him off about that--other than the fact that I was right--is that his mom took my side and flat out told him that neither of them would have put up with being mentally abused for that long without being nastier than I had been.)
Step hag, no presents for you! Grandma, I hope I'll see you on Christmas! Grandpa, I love you to pieces! Dad, I'll just call. Your...wife...makes me murderous. Mom, your present to me can be silence. I already got you that book. Yes, I would like to not have to listen to complaints. Corey, I want you to replace the Ops system for my laptop, which you screwed up so badly and promised to replace. It's been over a year, and now I'm pissed. I got you that huge thing of cashews last year and you still haven't made your sons quit leaving dirty dishes and leftover food on my bookshelves. Del and Lani, well, hell, I'll house-sit for free in February if you want me to. It's worth it. Step sibs, I'm not getting you anything. You haven't gotten me anything for years, either. And that includes before I moved out. Screw you. Tony, Ryan, Logan--I'd like to not hear fighting this Christmas. I think you owe us that, and you've already gotten Christmas presents from me this year. No more.
For those of you here who read my fic, if I get reviews I'll try to have the next chapter posted by Christmas Eve. Failing that, I'll keep you updated. If you're nice, maybe I can start posting that Bleach fic around Christmas, too.
And I adored your newest chapter. It's great. I understand about the pressures, but please update as soon as you can.

This chapter reminded me of Pitch Black for some reason. I could totally see Rude as Riddik and Reno as Jack/Kyra. I can't wait to see what happened (and what's going to happen.) I'll cross my fingers for you too.

I like it. Very...them. Lol. Sometimes I think I'm autistic. Maybe I am, partially. I know there are autistic people in my family, so it's not impossible.
Anyways, you did very well. I wish it had been a longer chapter and hope the next one comes out soon, but I liked it. And Rude's comment at the end was very much in character.
"Oh, shit."
Lol.
It wasn't quite what I said when I realized that was the end of the chapter, though.... My response was more along the lines of, "Ahw, fuck...."

I really have been enjoying your story. It's heart-felt full of betrayal, friendship, and even the hardships of reality in life. It made me sad and happy at certain points of the story, sympathizing with Reno's feelings and experiences. Please update soon, I hope to read more on what's going to happen X3
