Disclaimer: I do not own final fantasy VII. I am not making any money off this fanfic. Also, I don't own many of the characters within this story. |
Very long Author’s Note:
This story is an A/U of an A/U based on characters played by myself and my friends from Second Life. The world is based on Final Fantasy VII and was dreamt up by Icewolf and company. In the sim’s story Jenova has escaped with the help of Hojo and the two run Shin-ra. Rufus has taken a group of SOLDIERs, Turks and Mps who are loyal to him and fled to Junon. There they have to contend with untold evils, AVALANCHE and what remains of the Wutaian army who refused to stop fighting. This story is about a little Wutaian who just happens to be mad as a hatter, and her efforts to destroy all of Shin-ra, starting with the SMF. This story is third person limited so I wont be diving into anyone else’s heads. However at any time, (Those of you who are reading this from Janova Crisis) anyone wants to add a chapter from the perspective of there characters, write it up and send it my way and I’ll post it to the story. This chapter is very short, I just wanted to set the scene more then anything. More will be posted, hopefully around one every week or so. Love you all Kresdon Key: (To better understand ED speak) < > - Speaking Wutaian Dog - member of Shin-ra Pointy hat dog - member of SOLDIER Black hat dog - Shin-ra Marine Suit dog - TURK Duck - member of AVALANCHE Bird thingy - AVALANCHE Raven @ CHAPTER ONE: CRUMBLING PILLAR Demons of the woods, ghosts of insanity. During the war the dogs feared the home of her clan and the lone hyena was determined to create that same unadulterated terror in the dogs that her Senpai fought. She had taken to watching them, the way they moved through the dark twisted forest, the way they interacted with each other. She had long since showed herself as their enemy, casting riddled threats of pain and torment toward one of the many pointy hats. In battle they were ferocious opponents that fought with unnatural strength and speed, but the red haired hyena wasn’t unhinged enough to attack them head on. No, she would stalk them from the shadows, trap them and then destroy their minds. They were the might of the dogs and without them, those that fought against the dogs would have the upper hand. She had been stalking the same dog for weeks, watching it interact with other dogs, watching its habits. It had the loudest bark and was always the first to bite when provoked. It wasn’t the strongest of the pointy hats, but it stood as a pillar of emotional strength for many of the other dogs; because of that she would make sure it was the first to crumble. From her perch on one of the many ancient stones that overlooked the outpost, the little hyena watched as the red haired neko dog turned its back on her prey, leaping from the cold metal and disappearing into the woods. Soft giggling spilled from her. The red haired dog always caused distraction to take hold of the bi-colored dog, which made it easy prey. It walked past her perch without looking up, a fatal error that most dogs made. Had she the desire it would have been simple to put a bullet in its back, but creating crimson rivers that carried the life of the dog from its body was not what she wanted. Oh no, she would make the dog howl, make it beg. Turn the pillar to dust and watch the morale of the dogs fall at her feet. Pale green orbs never left the figure as it moved. The moment it thought it was free from prying eyes it removed its helmet, it’s shoulders sagging. It was still completely unaware of her presence. Steel hissed against steel as her fingers found the gathered acupuncture needles that were nestled in her bracers. Pulling them free from their home she sent the small thin blades of steel on a path that would spread like shotgun fire to pepper the dog’s back, arms and legs. As the first of the needles found their targets the dog spun, attempting to locate the source of the attack, the needles finding purchase in its back, right arm, leg and chest. The muscle relaxant the needles were coated in was powerful and worked quickly, sapping the strength from the limbs and bringing the dog to a single knee, its helmet slipping from its failing grasp. It moved to retrieve the fallen head piece with it’s other hand, but the little red haired hyena had already sent out another wave of needles at her prey and they buried themselves into the left side of the dog’s body. She watched as it slowly failed to remain on its knee, the drug working its way through the dog’s system causing its muscles to deny it the dignity to do more then lay upon the forest floor, glowing teal eyes finally falling on her as she leapt from her perch to land gracefully beside it. <“Hello pointy hat dog.”> She giggled, the soft flowing words of her language drifting from her as she looked down at it, again struck with the knowledge of how easy it would be to kill the beast and be done with it. Her Onii-chan would have pulled the trigger without pause, but she saw the potential in keeping the dog alive until it begged for death. It growled at her as it struggled to right itself, to stand or at least move into a position that would allow it some chance at fighting back. More laughter left her and she dropped her hand into the pocket of the tailored back slacks, pulling from its depths a single small bottle and stained white cloth. It was no match for her as it was, drugs slipping through its veins with every beat of its heart. But the point hat dogs had the ability to recover far quicker then a normal dog and she had no intention of allowing it to do so until she had it where she wanted it. Uncorking the bottle she poured the contents onto the cloth and crouched to place the chloroform soaked rag over the dog’s nose and mouth. It snapped at her, like the dog it was, attempting to turn its face from the cloth. There was no where for the dog to run however, no way for it to escape. The fumes flowed from the stained fabric into its lungs and soon it fell unconscious, it’s body falling limp upon the forest floor. Stuffing the rag into the empty bottle she placed them back into her pocket before hefting the much larger body over her shoulder. She was small of stature but tightly coiled muscles insured she did not lack strength. Stooping once to retrieve the helmet of the dog she allowed herself to disappear into the forest. Her home would become the place were the dog would learn of pain and fear. Where the dog would break and howl, where it would beg for a death she would not grant it. Her home was where the pillar of strength would crumble. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
