A/N: Hey! I thought I'd put this on here. So, here it is. I don't know how this chapter turned out. I was a little lost on where I wanted to go with this, and I still am, kinda. Well, I'll try the best I can! Enjoy.

“You're hanging around Seifer more these days, Zell,” said a cool voice from behind him. Zell thought he heard an accusation in his tone somewhere.
Zell just shrugged. It wasn't news that he was hanging around the tall, gorgeous blond more. Hell, everyone knew they hung out often. It wasn't like it was a secret or anything. He couldn't decipher the look Squall was giving him, though. Then again, Squall was hard to read, so it wasn't a surprise. Why was Squall wanting to know, though, was his question. “And?” Cue the cocked eyebrow. “What?” Squall eyed him coolly for a moment, then shrugged. “Just saying. I guess it's weird, is all.” “What's so weird about it?” he shot back his own question. Leonhart arched an eyebrow. “I just though you two hated each other?” “We did,” he said with a light shrug of his broad shoulder. They use to not be able to stand each other. Now, he guessed they had become friends. Seifer wasn't a bad guy, after all. He was actually a decent guy deep down, under all his assholeness. In fact, he found he really enjoyed hanging out with with the older blond man. Zell thought he was interesting to be around. He was lost in thought on the sexy man, so he didn't see Squall giving him an odd look. “Zell?” “Huh?” He was snapped back to where he was, seeing Squall looking at him oddly. “Oh, sorry. What were you saying?” This happened a lot, actually. His mind would always trail off to the blond gunblader. But, who could blame him? It was hard not to think about him, though no one knew his thoughts. He would admit it, he liked Seifer. “I was asking: Why you always hang around him?” “I dunno,” he lied. “Does it matter? We get along now. So what?” “Hn,” was the only answer he received for that statement. “Why are you so curious anyway?” asked the martial artist. “I mean, you hang out with him, too.” Squall frowned. He knew Zell was right. “It's nothing. I was just wondering.” “Oh,” was all he said. “Squall!” called a female voice from behind him. “Rinoa?” “Hi,” she smiled at him, a smile that was sweet. He and Rinoa use to date, before Squall realized that their relation hadn't been going anywhere, and he felt nothing for her. Though he still cared about her, he just didn't love her like she wanted him to. She was surprisingly understanding, and knowing as well. Yes, knowing. See she saw right through him. She made him tell her who it was that he liked. So he did. She wasn't nearly as surprised as he thought she would be, though, but completely understanding. He smiled at her, a smile he rarely shows, and only a few people get to see it; one being Seifer the other being her. He does it more often the he use to, but more around those two. “Hey, Rinoa,” Zell spoke up finally. She turned her warm smile to him. “Hi, Zell.” She looked at the duo. “Oh, was I interrupting something here?” “No,” Zell quickly said with a grin, showing a very nice smile. “Oh, okay.” “Was there something you wanted, Rinoa?” “Huh—Oh! Right. Cid asked me to come and find you. Said something about signing some papers for the mission to Timber you guys had a few days ago.” “Oh. Okay,” Squall nodded, casting a look at Zell before walking off. Zell blinked and shook his head. “Is it just me, or is Squall acting strange?” He didn't know if he was actually asking Rinoa, or speaking more to himself. However, it didn't really matter the raven haired girl answered him anyway.” “What do you mean?” She had suspected was Zell was talking about, but wouldn't say anything. “I dunno. He just—seems weird? I guess is the right word for it.” “Hm..” She tapped her chin thoughtfully. She didn't wanna give away Squall's secret. If Squall wanted others to know, then he would have told them. Zell shrugged his shoulders. “Yo, chicken wuss,” came another voice. Zell jumped about a foot in the air, having not expected that. “Dammit, Seifer! Don't sneak up on me like that.” Seifer—the bastard, just smirked at him, and Zell thought that his smirk was sexy. “Sorry, Dincht.” Though, he didn't look sorry, what with that damn smirk and all. But Zell wasn't mad at him for it. “Sure,” he rolled his eyes and scoffed. He smiled, an actual smile at him. “Hey, Rinoa,” he said to the girl. “Hi!” she smiled back at him. “So, what were we talking about? Hm?” Seifer quirked an eyebrow at them. “Nothing,”she said quickly, then shrugged. “Oh! I have to go. I have a date tonight.” Seifer blinked. “You have a date?” He laughed. She smacked his arm. “Of course I do.” “Who?” Zell asked. “Zone.” “Really?” Seifer asked, smirking. “So Rinny has a date. Who would've thought.” “Hey! I date,”she glared at him slightly, but smiled. Seifer was forever teasing her about lots of things. She knew he was always joking with her, though, so she never took it seriously. “Well, I'm gonna go. Bye!” she waved at them and wandered off to get ready for her date. The two boys were left alone in silence for a few moments, neither knowing what to say to the other. Until Seifer spoke, breaking the silence. “Where's puberty boy at?” “Um, Cid wanted to speak with him about signing some papers.” “Hm,” He gave Zell a look. “What?” Seifer's stare was unnerving to Zell. Seifer sighed dramatically. “Well, I was looking for a sparring partner. But, since Squally-boy's not here, I guess you'll have to do, chickie.” Zell huffed. “Stop calling me that. So, what? I'm your second choice?” The taller man wasn't expecting that question, so he blinked, then answered, “no, that wasn't what I meant. I—“ “It's fine,”Zell waved his hand, smiling at the other man. “Sure, I'll spar with you. Just be ready to get you ass kicked.” “You? Kick my ass?” Seifer chucked at the idea. “Like hell you can, pussy boy.” “Fuck off,” was his retort. Seifer smirked. He loved to tease Zell. Zell was one of his favorite people to tease. The other one being Squall. He just loved the reactions he got from either of those two. “Zelly!” a cheerful, yet loud yell was heard down the hall way as they were making their way to the training center. “Hey, Selphie, What's up?” She suddenly frowned, which wasn't too often. She was always so cheerful. “Have you seen Irvine?” “No, I haven't,” he answered. She muttered something about cowboys, and how he's never around when she needed him to be. She sighed and rolled her eyes. “Probably off flirting with girls. I swear.” She and Irvine were only friends. Their relationship wasn't working, so it was a mutual decision to break up. So they remained friends still. “Maybe,” Zell said with a smile, knowing how flirtatious that cowboy was. “What do you need him for?” “Nothing important. I just wanted him to help me move some furniture in my room.” “Oh,” Zell blinked. “We could help?” offered the taller blond, surprising them, and himself. “Nah, that's okay. I wanted to talk to Irvine about something anyway. Thanks, though!” she smiled at the bigger blond, showing her gratitude for the offered help. “Are you sure?” Zell asked. “Yup! You two look like you were doing something anyway. It's alright. I'm not in any rush.” she grinned at them. “See ya later!” As soon as she was gone, Zell gave the other man an odd look, which Seifer just shrugged off and continued walking, not glancing back to see if Zell was following him, already knowing he would be. As they entered the training center they looked at each other and got ready. “Better have some cures ready, chickie. You're gonna need 'em.” “Ha! It's you who will be needing them, Almasy.” Seifer scoffed and brought his gunblade up. As they were fighting, Zell got distracted from time to time, seeing the sweat glisten off of Seifer's golden skin, and how his hair matted his face, making him look even more sexier than usual. But, he would be quickly reminded of the other as Seifer struck with his gunblade. Seifer was oblivious to Zell's stare. He just kept attacking. Although, he had noticed Dincht faltering at times, which confused him. Why would he falter? Zell usually gave his all, even only when sparring with him. He swung low aiming for Zell's midsection, hitting it with the butt of his gunblade. He saw Zell stagger back a little. “Damn,” he cursed, effectively dodging the next blow that was being aimed at him. He had a cut on his arm, which was bleeding, then he noticed Seifer sporting a bruise had had given him once the other man let his guard down momentarily. They were pretty evenly matched, Zell observed. Though, it wasn't all that shocking. He was a great fighter. “What?” the gunbladist smirked. “Giving up?” “Hell no,” Zell grinned, hopping around, and pumping his fists in the air, showing he still had enough energy to go. He lept at the older man, who dodged easily, striking Dincht on the back, hard enough to knock him down. This went on for a while, then they were both panting heavily, and sweating by the time they were done. Both had smiles on their faces. Seifer smiled, breathing heavy. “This was nice.” “Yeah.” Zell sat up and stretched. Seifer stood up and sheathed his gunblade then offered a hand to the shocked Zell, who took the proffered hand. “I'm gonna go take a shower,” he announced for the hell of it. “Oh. Sure. I need one too.” Seifer smirked. “Wanna take one with me?” Zell knew he was teasing, but Seifer didn't actually understand what he was doing to Zell with those words. He wanted to say, “Yes,” but refrained from do that, and making himself look like an idiot. He blushed. “Uh, I'm gonna g-go now. See ya later, man,” he said instead, leaving the other man confused by his sudden mood change. Seifer shook his head. “That was strange,” he said to himself, then just shrugged, then proceeded to take a shower and get cleaned up.A/N: Well, what do you think? I don't know if I should go ahead and continue or not? I have a little writers block at the moment for this story. So, let me know what you think of this so far. Please review!
