The beast stands before you, five times your size. Its grotesque, shadowy face scowls at you. It's hands raise and fall forward as fire barely misses you, hissing as it flies past your face nearly singeing your hair.
You've fought this primal's kind before, but the beasts from which it was summoned are no comparison. He dashes towards you, leaving a trail of fire in his wake. Miraculously, you flip over him, avoiding his path. You feel his charred claws scratch your back as you evade his next powerful strike.Wounded, but not ready to give up, you launch your throwing knives in an effort to lure the beast closer. The bait worked. The massive primal known as Ifrit stomps clumsily towards you, and with a ferocious swipe and a roar, aims to kill.This is exactly what you had planned for - because in the knick of time, you vanish, only to reappear on his back.He bucks, he screams, but nothing will prevent you from achieving your aim. Your daggers plant firmly into the back of his neck as he shrieks and stumbles to the floor. His face pummeling into the ground, you know you have won. Just as you are about to let your guard down, you catch something out of the corner of your eye. You glimpse a mysterious robed figure. Figuring it an Ascian, you launch three shuriken with less than a breath's moment.The shuriken seem to stop just a yalm before the figure, hold for a moment, and then fall to the floor with a dull clang. The robed figure begins casting magic at you. Realizing that you are no match at ranged distance, you dash towards them, dodging balls of light and wind as you do. The robed figure takes notice, and begins to float in a familiar way. They are teleporting. You can't let them get away! Just before they vanish, you dive upon them and grab their arm.
