Inevitability

Good Lord
It's been almost exactly 6 months since my last update, how ridiculous is that?
Pfft.
Anyways, I'm gonna pick this back up for a moment, having regained my thrill of this story.

Chapter 12
Inevitability

The brilliant white snow of the Northern Continenet rushed towards Eron, more like I'm rushing towards it. His mind raced ever since the fell wind had got him in a stumble and then the damn ice patch on the top of the damn airship. He knew there was no way he could stop what was happening, in reality the falling wasn't didn't bother him, it was that heart stopping sudden stop when he reached the ground that had him thinking. Spinning around he focused himself then opened his eyes as a faint golden glow surrounded his body like a shield, and with another cast green particles surrounded his body, flowing free from his body ever now and then.

The best I can do I suppose, please land in snow...

With that, the only company being the howling icy wind in his ear, and the thrill of hitting the ground he closed his eyes and waited. Within what seemed an eternity all he remembered was the feel of colliding with something hard, pain, and then darkness.

*********************************************

Eron felt the ground beneath him being soft, almost like silk.

The fresh scent of flowers filling his nostrils.

"Back again?"

He sat up and looked over to the sound, the pink encased flower girl kneeled amongst a flurry of brightly colored flowers.

"Guess I am."

She looked at him with a smile, "we may have to start charging you rent."

Eron scoffed, "as if this is my fault."

Aeris smiled.

Eron sighed, taking a gentle swipe at a group of flowers, "though when I think about it all, this is a lot better of a choice."

"How so?"

"Well I think I just fell to my death for one. Secondly I can't even imagine who the hell could possibly be the fourth one, I haven't even sensed the stirrings of the person."

Aeris stood up, brushin at her dress, "well that's because you're looking in the wrong place, and you're not dead either, just a little banged up."

"So where am I supposed to go? I thought I was supposed to be awakening the Earth Elemental?"

(E-- Wa- -p!)

"Now you should know better than that brother."

Eron scowled, "Of course you can't tell me, that would be far too easy."

(ERON!)

Eron glanced up at the sky for a moment, "so what?"

Aeris smiled with a sigh, "you're looking for a person, you already know the place, and you now how to find the person."

Eron scoffed, "how's that?"

Everything began to fade slowly, Aeris' face softened, "with your heart."

(Get up please, oh wake up!)

"Eh, these visits are far too short for my tastes," he scoffed as everything faded with greater speed.

As everything began white and he felt himself lifted he heard her voice echoe with a small laugh, "you know better than that, you'll see me again."

********************************************

The first sensation that Eron became aware of was the fact that his body was freezing cold, so much that it hurt. Then it hit him, that the pain he was feeling was not from the cold inching deeper into him, but from the fact that he had landed not only on snow, but on ice and rock as well. He hissed in pain, causing an even greater dose of agony to shoot through his body.

"Shit! He's ok!" he heard the unmistakeable sound of Cid's voice.

"I don't think a couple hundred foot onto a pile of frozen snow, ice and rock constitutes as ok Cid," and that had to be Tifa.

Eron's eyes fluttered open, suddenly being blinded by the sun above them casting off the sheets of snow and ice hanging around him. He glanced up to see an extremely irritated Cid, and a worried Tifa bent over him.

"Well that was a bitch," he managed as he sat up, sucking in sharply a breath of air.

Cid took all of this into account before sucking in on his cigarette and rounding on Eron, "what th' hell is wrong with you?!? You could have been killed and yer dumb ass had to just walk near the edge of tha' ship didn' ya! Stupid idiot! I should just left ya!"

Tifa opened her mouth to protest, but Eron interuppted with a chuckle, "well I'm alright, so you can stop worrying, and "stupid idiot" is redundant."

Cid's mouth moved soundlessly til he winced when he seen Eron struggling to stand up, "c'mon, we gotta get you back to the Highwind an' back to Midgar so you can get some help for these wounds."

Eron shook his head, "nah I'll heal quick enough on my own, a perk to my particular tribes heritage, durable and fast healing, kinda like the Mako on the others."

Tifa shook her head, "we at least need to get you back to the Highwind, it took us a couple of hours to find you, what with this storm and all."

Eron winced, "yeah, probably a good idea, I'm freezing my balls off over here, never did like the cold too much."

**********************************************

Sapphire eyes shimmering with mako watched the three trod slowly back to the airship. Blond hair shifted over skin that didn't notice the stiflyingly cold that whipped around, producing a minature blizzard, obscuring vision for a moment. Cloud felt a growl grow in his throat and die just as quickly.

"Should I go now mother?"

(The strongest is weak, but not for long, get them before he is healed.)

Cloud nodded as he walked towards them, thoughts and memories whipping through his mind, making the storm on the outside pale in comparison. That fool Eron had passed him off like nothing, and the others had been more than happy to just forget about him. He'd helped them and led them through so much in the past, and they were willing to just let him go for this young warrior. Well he'd show them, he'd show them all what he was really worth. Mother had been right all along, even back with Sephiroth, he'd ignored the whisperings, those that he could barely hear, but nonetheless could sense at the back of his mind. They never trusted him, never really wanted him, only were using him for their own devices, to save the world for them. Well no more, he was going to finally follow someone who loved him, and wanted him. Jenova would never let him down, never.

He smiled as he reached the point he wanted, only about 10 feet stood between them and himself, and he already had a plan.

*******************************************

As Eron leaned on both Tifa and Cid as they slowly walked through the snow to the Highwind. He stiffened suddenly, a presence in the wind catching his attention, one that he knew all to well. Cid and Tifa glanced down at him, worried for a moment that Eron was about to collapse again. Eron wretched from their grip as he sensed a sudden power surge and turned around as quickly as he could. A pain wretched through his back from moving too quickly as he spotted the source of the problem. Sure enough, Cloud stood behind them, his sword glowing brilliantly.

Tifa gasped, "Cloud! What are you doing out here?"

Cloud only grinned darkly, his free hand glowed with a green fire as he let loose a blast at Tifa and Cid, both only had a chance to throw up a weak shield as it struck them, sending them reeling backwards into the snow. Eron could only gape in shock as his companions rocketed away from him. He glanced over in suprise, "Cid! Tifa!"

All to late he realized the mistake he'd made. Cloud was only distracting them away from Eron, he twisted around, his body shooting him with another shot of pain as he spotted Cloud running at him. With lightning quick speed he felt Cloud's feet and fist pounding into his body with brutal force. He groaned as he stepped back in time to avoid a blow of the sword, he stumbled as the pain seized his body again.

(Damn that fall really tore me up)

His vision clearing he seen Cloud rush at him, the sword glowing more brilliantly than before. Eron did the only thing he could, using the last reserves of his magic he threw up a physical shield around himself and hoped for the best.

"CLIMHAZARD!!" Cloud bellowed as he stabbed his shimmering sword into Eron's shield, only piercing Eron's flesh a little, and then with a massive release of magical energy tore upwards through the air. For added measure he flipped in the air and sheathed his sword, both of his hands glowing the green fire of Ultima again. He slammed down onto the teetering Eron, the resounding explosion sending Eron back into the snow. Eron choked in pain as he looked up at Cloud. He tried to move, and realized that his body was sapped of any remaining power, the fight with the creature, the fall, and now the cheap shot from Cloud had finished him off, he was getting up for awhile.

Cloud smirked, "you're still alive? Tenacious little fucker aren't you?" He shrugged, "doesn't matter, you can't move, and I'll just finish you off now!"

He rushed forward, his sword raised above him, and brought it down fiercly, the metal singing through the frozen air. A loud clang of metal meeting metal rang through the air as Cloud stared almost dazed at his sword being abruptly stopped by the long spear held horizontally to his sword. Cid smirked as yanked the Venus Gospel upwards forcefully, twisting the spear around and stabbed the blunt end into Cloud's unguarded stomach, and drove it up into his chin. Cloud grunted as he reeled backwards, and before he could gain his own foothold and get a proper grip on his sword he spotted a brown hair blur reach him. Suddenly a flurry of fists reached his gut, his chest, and his face, driving him backwards. Tifa finshed with another round of furious fists, and then gripped Cloud, shockingly headbutted him and then his her hands as a grip "ran" up Clouds body and kicked him in the chest and flipped back away from him next to Eron and Cid, her fists at the ready, her body in a fighting stance.

Cloud finally caught himself and stood up straight, grabbing ahold of his sword. He glanced at the three opposite of him, Eron on the ground, though still valiantly trying to stand up to no avail. Cid looked absolutely furious, and Tifa looking confused, but yet a fierce determination burning in her eyes. He smirked with a grunt and spit blood onto the ground.

"Cloud what are you doing?!? Please stop this!" Tifa begged.

Cloud only scoffed and rushed at her in a blur. With a rush he swung his blade at her, aiming for her head with his side swing. With fluid movements she weaved downwards, feeling the wind from the blade blow down on her, she pushed upwards into him, pummeling him with her fists and then knocking him the to side with a powerful kick to the head. He flew through the air and landed in the snow. He snarled and leapt up, blood running from his mouth again. He took a step forward, but hesitated as he seen Cid step forward.

Cid glanced at Tifa, "make sure Eron's ok, I've got him for now."

Tifa glanced between the two of them, hesitating, but realized her heart couldn't take this right now. She dashed over to Eron and crouched next to him. Eron's body was covered in cuts and bruises, sure enough there was a cut in his midsection, the trailed up to his face, only his face was save slightly, he must have jerked back in reflex, probably saving his life along with his face. He coughed, wincing with a hiss as pain arched through his body again.

"Oh my God Eron," she whispered.

"I'm alright, what about Cid?"

She opened her mouth to object but realized she too was worried about Cid, worried enough to glance over at the two who were still staring each other down.

Cloud smirked, "you think you can take me on Highwind?"

Cid returned the smirk, "Oh are we on last names now? Fine, "Strife," yer gonna find I can take you better than ya thought!"

Cloud's smirk only deepened as he rushed forward towards Cid. He swiped his sword at Cid, who swiftly dodged it and raised his spear to block the secondary swing. Cid spun his spear around Cloud's blade with ample speed and ripped his spear upwards, knocking Cloud's sword up and out of the way. Cid jabbed his spear forward fiercly, Cloud dodging only a little bit, enough to save his chest, but sacrificing his shoulder. Cloud hissed as the pained shot through his body from his wound, the blood dripping down his arm as he leapt back.

Cid wasted no time in leaping up into the air, the Venus Gospel glowing as he shot down towards Cloud.

Cloud's eyes shot open in shock.

(Use my power my child!)

Cloud smirked as he closed his eyes and brought his sword up above him. He felt the power rush through him, Cid's blow landed clean on his blade. The energy of the two of them meeting suddenly, spiralling around them in a funnel, buffeting the two of them. Cloud smirked as Cid gritted his teeth, feel the force of the powers pushing against him. With a violent shove Cloud threw the energy away from him, hitting Cid with it. Cid cartwheeled through the air, but nimbly landed on his feet, a few cuts and bruises showing on his flesh. He heaved with heavy breaths as he watched Clouds own wounds quickly healing.

Cloud's eyes shimmered with a new light, brighter even, taking on a new hue. Even his hair had taken on a different hue, becoming so blonde, that a few parts appeared to be white. Cloud smirked, he knew he wasn't getting the full power, but it was enough to take on the pilot. He deftly twirled his blade, a dark smile on his face. Cid only grunted in aggravation and rushed at Cloud. This time Cloud was ready, he blocked the spearing motion with a casual sidesweep, quickly bringing his blade over in a side slash, slashing across Cid's chest and shoulders. Cid twinged but leapt back, letting lose a blast of Bolt 3 at Cloud.

Cloud twirled his blade catching the powerful blast and then stabbed his sword into the ground, it's power nullified. Cid looked absolutely furious, out of the corner of his eye he spotted Tifa rising to come help him.

He waved her hand at her in a cutting motion, "no! You stay there with Eron! Get him to safety, I've got 'em!"

He turned his head back only to spot the emerald flames rushing at him, the pain was excrutiating, and he held back the scream behind gritted teeth. He fell to one knee but stood up shakily.

Cloud's laugh boomed across the expanse of the tundra, an unstable quality to it, "oh the old heroics! It doesn't matter anyways, after I've killed you, I'll easily cut Tifa down, and then take great pleasure in slowly, and PAINfully killing Eron."

Cid's eyes flashed, he winced as he felt a steady flow of images filling his mind, he saw Cloud cutting Tifa down, laughing, walking to Eron, shocking him, burning him, healing him to start anew, then cutting him, then after he was bored, removing limbs slowly, Eron's screams cutting across the air. Cid grabbed his head and shook it violently, he looked up, his eyes blazed.

"I don't care how long it takes, what it takes, even if it takes my last dying breath, you will not touch either of them, YA HEAR ME!!!" he roared as he felt a rush in his body. He pummeled forward, the snow blazing up around him, Cloud's eyes widened in suprise as Cid barreled into him, the spear in his hand completely forgotten. A blast of energy hitting Cloud, sending him careening through the air. When he landed, his widened eyes shot up towards Cid.

Cid stood there, wrapped in a vortex of visciously spinning tawny energy. What appeared to be a brilliantly glowing crystal hovered in front of Cid's chest, his eyes blazing with determination. The crystal floated up and expanded outwards, the solidity of the crystal becoming more like energy as it spread out across Cid's Venus Gospel, the end of the spear lengthened out, becoming, if possible, more of a sturdy yet deadly point, the two prongs on the side of the main spear extended out, markings resembling wings etching into the prongs, ending abruptly in their own spikes. The shaft of the spear elongated slightly, becoming thinner, grooves along it allowing air to move freeling across the spiralling pattern etching itself down to the end of the spear. The once semi-blunt end elongating and curling like a scythe, scarpening along the edge and to the point.

Suddenly the crystal appeared, almost as if melting out of the weapon and sucking back into Cid, the yellow energy sucking into Cid's body, filling his eyes, sending his blond hair glowing, and then was gone, leaving only the powerful sense of the lifestream behind with it.

Cid grinned, feeling the power soaring through him. He spun his new spear in circles, even throwing it above his head in circles, listening to the whistle it made through the air.

"Zephyr's Talon...." he whispered, almost as if the name had popped in his head, "ready to give that theory of your's a try?"

Cloud snarled and rushed forward, his newfound power coarsing through his body, with great power he sliced his blade towards Cid. Cid dodged back effortlessly, bring his new spear up and down with a twist upon the swinging blade, using the momentum to knock Cloud off-balance. Using the spear end, he shoved forward into Cloud's chest, creating a new stream of blood, and with a twist and a pull, ripped it out of Cloud's flesh. Wasting no time, he spun his spear up, driving the scythe-like end into Cloud's back. Cloud stumbled forward, the blade in his back, like the spear mark in his chest, seared with a pain not unlike a poison. Holding the spear Cid raised his hand into Cloud's face, it sparked suddenly with a deadly power.

"Let's see you ground this!" he snarled as what sounded like an explosion blasted from his hand into Cloud's face. Lightning shot in every direction as Cloud shot backwards several hundred feet until he hit the solid ice and rock wall. He fell to the ground on his hand's and feet, coughing suddenly, blood splattering from his lips.

Cid began to walk forward, but was stopped suddenly by a sudden shaking of the earth. He glanced down, seeing the ground beneath him cracking. He leapt back just in time as the the ground burst forth, a large, almost portly, dark green dragon shot from the crater it created. It's roar rumbled the earth, never quite reaching Cid's ears, or the air around him, but nonetheless shaking the earth. Cid glanced up, as he'd seen, the green of the dragon's scaly hide seemed almost as if someone had dropped black paint into the green, it's snout short but filled with vicious teeth, it's wings shining, though considerably smaller than the other one's he'd seen, it even seemed to have a harder time flying.

It hovered above Cloud, it's short but powerful looking tail curled towards him. Cloud weakly grasped the tail, and the dragon flew upwards and was gone before Cid could do anything. Cid turned towards Tifa who had such a mixture of emotions on her face that he couldn't even catch them all, foremost of them all was worry.

He jogged back to them and glanced down to Eron, who seemed to be passing between consciousness and unconsciousness, "shit, come on, we gotta get him back to the Highwind!"

*********************************************

Halfway to the ship Eron had passed out cold, slumping in Cid and Tifa's arms, both were thanking silently that he was already a smaller guy, otherwise his deadweight would have been a hassle through the near blizzard that they were trudging through. Reaching the ship as quick as they could, their finger and toes feeling as if they were about to break off into many icy pieces. They climbed into the back hatch the sound of their shoes clumping along the metal floors melding with the soft hum of the machinery.

"We need to get to Midgar, and fast, Reeve can get him better help than we can give him," Tifa sighed as she shifted Eron slightly.

Cid nodded as they reached his room, he kicked open the door and led Tifa over to the bed with Eron in their arms. They laid him gently down on the bed, he glanced over at Tifa, "watch 'em while I get this bird up into the air, it'll be about a half hour and we'll be in Midgar."

Tifa nodded as Cid ran from the room, bellowing at the crew to "get this goddamn thing in the air!" She shook her head and smiled at his behavior. For all of his bluster and coarse behavior, the Captain was actual a big softie, though she'd never tell him that. She glanced back down at Eron and sat on the edge of the bed, she took out a piece of cloth in her hip bag and began wiping Eron's face clean of the dirt and blood. He was banged up pretty bad. The fall had taken a lot out of him, not to mention the cheap shot from Cloud had done it's fair amount of damage. Which left her with her own questions.

Sure she'd attacked Cloud, and would have continued to do so, but she was offered the luxury of self-preservation and a protective urge of Eron. If it hadn't been for Cid taking up the fight, she didn't know if she'd have been able to continue fighting. She couldn't fathom what was happening to Cloud, he seemed to have lost his mind completely, losing everything was him. Then there was that weird look he'd gained, and that look in his eye it was almost exactly like...Sephiroth's...

She shook her head, it didn't make any sense. Cloud never said anything about hearing Jenova, so why would she, even if she was back somehow, which was impossible, be speaking to him now? No he'd just lost his mind is all, his reasoning, the stress had finally taxed him enough. She steeled herself, she was going to save Cloud with all of her might. No matter what, she needed to save him.

No matter what she had to sacrifice.

Eron's eyes fluttered open, a faint pulse of pain echoed through his body, but faded quickly.

(Well that's a good sign)

He glanced to the right, it seemed the night had fallen, apparently it had taken a lot more out of him then he had thought to heal himself. He glanced back over and smiled, Cid sat in a chair next to the bed he lay in. A completely smoked cigarette lay in his mouth, shaking with each soft snore that came from the pilot's mouth. He thought about saying something, but he decided a better wake up call would be appropriate.

He slid out of the bed easily, he glanced down to see himself in his underwear. If he was the kind of person to blush from embarassment he would have, knowing he'd been lying around in his boxer briefs. He grinned to himself and only shook his head as he took a step towards the Captain and leaned over plucked the cigarette from Cid's mouth and leaned over and pressed his lips to Cid's own. Cid woke with a start but didn't flail, instead he leaned back and grinned, though the smile didn't quite reach his ears.

"I see yer back to normal."

Eron smirked, "well a little sore, but back nonetheless."

"You were out for awhile there," a faint glimmer of worry on his face.

Eron frowned, "yeah I noticed I slept the day away."

It was Cid's turn to frown, "actually, yeh been sleepin' since yesterday."

Eron's face scrunched up, "you mean I've been sleeping for a full day?"

Cid nodded, "jus' about, ya had us worried."

Eron sat down, "hmph, and any other word about Cloud?"

Cid shook his head, looking irritated all of a sudden, "nah, we haven't heard word of him, we've got a lot of the others looking for him, but no one's had any luck. After he disappeared with that fuckin' dragon he just disappeared from the face of the Planet. Actually no one's even seen the dragon's, though where those big ass things could hide..."

Eron shrugged, "I don't know, that was a mystery I never solved about the beasts."

Cid sat up in his chair, fumbling around for his cigarettes, "yeah, the things are a bitch, not that Cloud isn't now too..."

Eron smiled again, grabbing Cid's hand and pulling him up onto his feet and in front of him, "yeah, but I saw you fighting him for me..."

Cid glanced from side to side, "yeah well I couldn't let him jus' kill ya could I? Bastard took a cheap shot at you!"

Eron smiled, "it was sweet of you."

Cid grunted, "don't be gettin' all sentimental on me now."

Eron grinned and pulled Cid on top of him, "Alright."

Cid's eyes widened as he landed on top of Eron, "Eron! What're ya doin'? Yer hu-"

Eron pulled his head down into a kiss, "not that bad."

Cid went of fight again, but the kiss sent a shock through him and he melted into it. Being careful not to put anymore weight than necessary on Eron, he pushed into the kiss. Eron let out a faint groan, he knew it'd only been a couple of days, but it'd seemed like far too long for his tastes. He pushed his tongue into Cid's mouth, their tongues wrapping around one another. Eron felt his own erection pulse, pressing against Cid's thigh.

Cid grinned, "up already? Ah to be that young again."

Eron rolled his eyes and pushed Cid off of him, then rolled over on top of him. Cid grunted with a smile, "forceful eh?"

Eron snorted and traced down to Cid's waist, with ease he unsnapped the buttons and pulled the pants off in one fluid gesture. Cid could only grin as he felt Eron's mouth tracing the apparent outline of his own erection. Using his teeth, and of course being careful, Eron pulled the underwear down, Cid's erection showing in the dim light. Eron only smiled slyly as he wrapped his lips around it. Cid moaned, biting his lip as he felt the heat of Eron's mouth surround him. If he could have, Eron would have grinned, instead he pulsed up and down on Cid's length, swirling his tongue around, following his trailing mouth with his hand.

Cid jerked and moaned, putting his hand on the back of Eron's head. He resisted the urge to thrust forward, even as the shock's shooting through his body compelled his hips to move. As he lay there, marvelling in the feelings he became aware of a new sensation, something wet was pushing into him. He groaned as the digit pushed into him. He couldn't even remember the last time he'd had something in him, and though he didn't do it all the time, it felt perfect this time around. He had an idea of what Eron's idea for this particular round was. He layed his head back, as the electricity in his body rose in him, his moans growing increasing louder. Until he felt it growing too much, it's focus in his groin. He put a hand on Eron's head, "uh, yer gonna make this end earlier than it should."

Eron pulled his mouth off with a miscievious grin, pulling up towards Cid he kissed him deeply. He pulled back slightly and picked up a tube of lubricating jelly and waved it in front of Cid.

Cid looked momentarily confused, "where'd yeh get that?"

Eron pointed to the drawer next to the bed as he opened it, applying some to his own raging hard-on.

{A/N: I'm not even exaggerating about that, totally found a tube of lubricating jelly and other weird things in the drawer at my docor's office, it was funny, but then got disturbing when I thought of what they were there for. Watched to make sure my doctor never went near that drawer for the rest of the time I was there, X-D}

Positioning himself, he felt Cid make a small movement, he grinned and pushed into Cid. Cid winced with a slight hiss as the intrusion hit him. Eron looked sheepish, realizing he'd given too much of a push.

"Sorry," he whispered.

Cid only shook his head, "don't stop moving goddamn it."

Eron only grinned as he eased in slowly, his eyes locked on Cid's face. He watched each and every little emotion that flitted across the pilots face, it was kind of hot for him. Eventually he reached the end, he'd reached the base of his own cock. Only then did he notice the tight heat surrounding him, he repressed a groan, noticing that Cid had groaned instead.

Eron smiled partially as he pulled back with his hips and pushed forward again, his cock being met with the heat again. He sank down towards Cids face, kissing him deeply. Cid only moaned as Eron began moving his hips, slowly at first, allowing Cid to become used to the sensations. He felt Cid's strong hands at his waist and bit his lip as he felt them grip his hips. He pushed forward again enjoying the warmth that sent chills through him.

Giving the evil eye that served only to turn Eron on further Cid hissed, "I'm not gonna break ya know!"

Eron didn't even bother to grin, instead he thrust into Cid with a powerful push. Cid's mouth opened in pleasure but no sound was able to escape, as if the feeling had sucked the air from his lungs. His nails dug into Eron's thrusting hips, a moan escaping him. Eron reached down, holding himself steady with his other hand and grabbed Cid's length. He almost smiled at how incredibly stiff it was, but instead gripped it and began jerking it along with each of his thrusts. Cid threw his head back and moaned as the sensations overcame him, filling his body, washing all coherent thoughts away. Eron meanwhile was enjoying the slowly building sensations in his body. It never grew old for him being a bottom, but from what little he could remember, being a top was defintely a rare treat he enjoyed throughly, and enjoying it he was. The heat seemed to grow out from Cid and envelop Eron, creating sensations that constantly grew, unlike being a bottom where they grew and then crashed through the body.

He felt the growing becoming increasingly stronger, each pulse becoming stronger and stronger, feeling the strong pulsing in his hand, he knew Cid was close as well. Almost as if to answer this question, Cid suddenly bucked his hips with a loud explecitive and a groan following it, his orgasm shooting all over Eron's hand and stomach. Eron finally felt it reach it's end, he shoved forward, his body wracking with pleasure, a faint jerk in his body with each shot he made, his breath gone and the room dimming. When he was done he fell on top of Cid, his body giving out from beneath him. He breathed heavily, feeling Cid's arms wrap around him.

"Don't say I'm too hurt, because even if I'm on my deathbed, we'd better be screwing in it until I finally die," Eron managed to pant out.

Cid chuckled, "wasn't gonna, was gonna say that was amazing, Gaia knows how long it's been since I've done that."

Eron rolled over off of him, "too long I'd imagine."

Cid snorted.

************************************************

Little after that, Eron stood on the roof of the building, gazing down at the faint lights of the city. Cid had fallen asleep rather quickly, which hadn't suprised Eron. He somehow got the impression that he should have been used to that. He knew that Cid had to be suffering from the same holes in his memory. Hell Cid was luckier than him, things were only hazy for the length of their relationship, which even Eron couldn't remember the length of. His entire life was a haze, apparently being in a near death kind of coma tends to make ones memory hazy. It was frustrating, but he didn't bring it out for Cid to notice, it wouldn't do either of them any good. He sighed as he looked at the rebuilding Midgar.

"I remember you were a paradise when I was last here, now look at you."

A deep voice he didn't recognize came from behind him, "when we're done it'll be a barren spot on this wasteland of a planet."

Eron whipped around, a man about his height and build stood there. A bright red spiky mass of hair lay atop his head, dark green eyes lay in his smirking face. He wore a mixture of black and red on his obviously muscled body. He obviously liked to show of his body, many parts of his bronzed skin showed through his clothes.

"Who are you?" Eron asked, startled, and also a little unnerved by the man.

The man's smirk deepend, "what? Don't recognize my human form? I suppose after fighting my beast form for so long, you wouldn't even suspect this form."

Eron's eyes widened, reaching for the swords that weren't there, "the Fire beast!"

The man frowned, "you really should come up with a better name, in this form I'm Abaddon."

Eron's eyes narrowed, "how is this possible?"

Abaddon smiled, "you think that my brother and sisters wouldn't have figured out how to have a form to blend in? We're the perfect weapons of our mother."

Eron looked disguted, "ugh, figures."

Abaddon looked at Eron for a moment and then spoke, "things are going to be different this time Ancient, you fought well last time, and even managed to hold us back a few times, even delayed us by sealing us back in our prisons. This time we're all free, and we have help. Our mother will be risen, and we'll raze this planet into the perfect new home, humanity's time on this planet is over. Gaia will die, and humanity along with them."

"We'll stop you!"

Abaddon smirked, "oh we want you to try, you can't have a victory without a fight. So come and try, let us enjoy this inevitable victory further by fighting it."

With that he turned and walked away, towards the opposite edge of the building and stepped off of the ledge. Eron blinked but didn't even bother to walk to see what had happened. He knew the...thing would have survived the fall or whatever else it did. He turned back to his view and growled. They needed to find the last of the four and destroy the beasts before they gained too much power.

But how?

A/N:

Wow this update was just about as long as the first chapter I put out.
Neat
Now I know it's been awhile since I last wrote, so I apologize. I lost the urge to write for this one, a little bit of writers block. I'd been afraid that I'd written myself into a corner, but I found a way out.
So if you're still reading, thanx!!

OH and reviews still greatly appreciated.
