     Akira are you alright? Kage asked noting that he hasn't spoken since they entered the cave.  "Yes I'm fine just lost in thought I guess."
     Galen clung close to Aero and Dao Ming so as not to be too close to the edge. Antiope was thinking of what awaits them there, yes the summoning gem is up there but the last one they came to they had to face Lyke before they could achieve the Leviathan gem. She gripped her weapon knowing it wouldn't be easy whoever Rossima sent to destroy them was going to be harder then Lyke was.
      As they made it towards the top of the mountain they fought goblins, wolves, and serpents, but compared to the shadows they dealt with earlier these were nothing. Once atop the mountain an Amethyst gem on top of a staff of a statue of the old man mentioned in the clue to finding the gem awaited them.
    "What is a statue doing here on an active volcano?" Akira asked.
     Aero went over and inspected the structure of the statue. "Something as perfectly carved by granite must have taken hundreds if not thousands of years."
      "How are we going to find out who it belongs too?" Soo Jin asked.
     "My guess is a similar reaction will occur when the right person has it in there posession." Kage said.
    "Well its about time you got up here. I was getting tired of waiting I mean what would be the fun in taking the gem if I don't get to destroy you?"
      The party turned to face Sidene she had an aura about her that was beautiful, yet horrifying, The party got into position ready to protect the gem from the serpent witch. There have been rumors spread across the main continent about Rossima's family. Lyke: Whom they killed had been very skilled with a sword and could destroy a whole village with just a swing of his sword. Sidene: was rumored to be the offspring of a naga and therefore could be as sneaky and deadly as a snake. He venom that dripped from her serpent teeth was deadly one drop of the venom and you'd fall down dead.
   "You think you can defeat me? You may have killed Lyke but I am twice a skilled as him." She said with a laugh.
   "Your going down!" Tristan yelled as he charged at Sidene ready to cut her down. Sidene easily dodged the attack as she gripped Tristan's arm and twisted making Tristan fall to his knees. "Don't you know its rather rude to strike a lady?"
    "Your no lady!" Soo Jin yelled.
"Ah yes the women in the party I'm afraid I don't enjoy the taste of your flesh so...." She pulled a stray hair out of her head. The hair turned into a giant needle a foot long. She let the needle go flying towards the girls. The girls jumped out of the way of being pierced right through.
"Hah! You missed!" Kris said triumphantly.
   Just then the boulder that was struck by the needle rose from the ground becoming a golem of a creature separating the girls from the guys. Akira ran to help the girls but Sidene wrapped something tight around him forcing him to face her. "My my you are all so young which means your body will be delicious."
   Aero cast a spell at her she moved with such ease that the spell missed entirely creating a bonfire between them. She was grinning like a cat Aero found himself being gripped like a vice as he was lifted into the air. Tristan attempted to attack her with only one good arm only to have himself wrapped in a cocoon having the life squeezed out of him.
   The girls wee having trouble with the rock golem. They couldn't get a good aim on the creature nor could they get to the guys to help battle Sidene. Galen wasn't sure what to do as he watched the situation unfold as Aero, Akira, and Tristan were getting the lives squeezed out of them and the girls weren't making any real progress with the rock monster.
    Galen gripped one of his knives and threw it with all his might. The knife sliced through the guys entrapment. Sidene let out a cry as Tristan, Akira and Aero were dropped like a sack of potatoes as they gasped for air. Sidene turned her snake like gaze towards Galen. "it seems I underestimated you." She said as she came up behind him wrapping Galen in her coils bringing him closer to her.
    "Your so young too. I am going to enjoy devouring this body."
    Aero and the others stood before her. Galen was pressed so tightly to her he was starting to turn colors. "Let him go!" Akira said.
   Her deadly lips came just inches of Galen all she had to do was open her mouth and let her venom drop on his shoulder and he'd be dead. Suddenly she let out a cry as she let Galen go. The guys watched as Galen stood gasping for air as he held a bloody knife. Sidene's severed arm lay on the ground. "You Bastards I will get my revenge!" she said before leaving.
   The golem crumbled when she left leaving the party to see who the gem belongs too.
  When Sidene arrived back at Rossima's headquarters she was not pleased. "You could have told me about the halfbreed you hired before sending me out!"
  "Is there a problem Sidene?"
  "I'll say I broke a nail no thanks to you!"
"You're also missing an arom."
   "Yes that bastard kid!"
   "Well since you were good enough to receive the summoning gem for me I will heal your severed arm. Where is it?"
   "Um I...."
     "You don't have the gem or your severed arm do you Sidene?"
      Sidene lowered her head ashamed of herself.
   The party stood before the statue of the old man. Tristan reached for the gem off the statue and inspected it. He looked at the small figure inside he sighed to himself as he raised it towards the sun. "Nope not mine." Tristan said as he passed the gem to somebody else.
    The gem was placed in Antiope's hand. As she glanced at the small figure inside she could have sworn the old man opened his eyes. The sun disappeared behind some dark clouds Antiope felt an electric shock go up her spine making her almost drop the gem. The clouds grew darker as thunder roared and a flash of lightning appeared followed by the old man floating in the sky.
    "I am Ramuh the Thunder Lord." He said.
    "Are you Antiope's gem?" Kris asked.
   Ramuh's eyes went white "I belong to nobody!" He said his voice booming. He turned to Antiope "Why have you awakened me?"
   "Rossima is back and is after the sacred gems." Kris said.
    "Silence!" Ramuh said angrier then before making Kris hide behind Dao Ming.
   "Please Ramuh she doesn't know how to hold her tongue, but Kris is right Rossima is after you and the other gems so he can take over the world." Antiope said.
    "I see. What would you do with me if I went with you?"
    "With your help I could defeat Rossima and bring peace to the world."
      "What else?"
"Huh? I am afraid I don't understand."
   "What about you?"
   "Me?"
"Yes."
"Well um...I..."
"Your soul is very tense right now perhaps that will change over time. Its been a millennia since I served a master." Ramuh said before disappearing. Antiope turned to her comrades and smiled she now had Shiva the Ice Goddess and Ramuh the Thunder Lord.
   "So what now?" Akira asked.
   "We look for the next gem." Dao Ming said as she petted Cloaky in her arms like a cat as it began to making purring like sounds.
   "Where would that be? We don't have a clue to where the others are located." Kage said. Just then the ground began to shake. "What's that noise?" Kris asked.
   "The volcano is getting ready to explode Aero said calmly.
   "Shit how are we going to get off this mountain in time?" Tristan asked.
   "Oh God! Oh God!" Galen said over and over again freaking out. Kris walked over and slapped him across the face "Get a hold of yourself!"
   Aero grabbed Kris's hand in a tight grip his stone cold stare glaring down at her. "If you touch Galen again in such a manner I'll break this arm." Aero then turned to the others "Start heading down the mountain.
  "What are you going to do?" Soo Jin asked.
   "I am going to put a barrier around it. Galen I'm going to need your help."
   Galen nodded nervously. "Yeah leave it to the wizard." Kage said.
There was silence at that comment. Before Kage could run she found herself pinned underneath Aero. His eyes were like daggers looking down at her. "I am not a wizard."
"W...What's the difference?" Kage asked nervously.
  "Wizards are purely male, and are only interested in the transformation of magic. While mages are either gender and are prone to the ritual of magic not to mention we are more well learned then wizards. Not to mention wizards are just a delusion of fantasy do you understand?"
   Kage nodded slowly as she felt her right shoulder get dislocated. She let out a painful scream. "Call me a wizard again Kage and I will kill you."
"That was uncalled for Aero." Akira said angrily as he helped Kage up. "Try keeping that fiancee of yours in check then Akira. Oh Kage if you still want to learn magic from me you will not make that comment again."
   Kage nodded. The party started to head down the mountain as Aero and Galen went to work forming a barrier.
"Aero." Dao Ming said.
"What is it Dao Ming?"
"Hey there will be plenty of time for that later!" Galen said.
   "He's right Dao Ming get going now!"
"But..."
    Aero gave her a shove towards Soo Jin who took her hand leading her down the mountain. Aero and Galen were busy trying to keep the volcano contained. Aero turned his head to see that the others were making good progress down the mountain.
    "Uh...Aero I can't hold it any longer." Galen said.
   Aero cursed to himself an idea came to mind as he let the barrier go. Galen held the barrier as well as he could as it began to spill slowly. he watched Aero spread his arms wide the sky grew dark the Bahamut moved as a red light shot into the air.
   Bahamut began to descend from the sky. Galen's eyes went wide as he saw the legendary dragon. He lost control of the barrier. Aero got on the back of the dragon "Come on." He said holding out his hand to Galen.
  "Um..."
   Aero pulled the boy up on the dragon. The dragon took off into the air. Galen looked down below his arms wrapped tighter around Aero. Akira looked up into the sky to see a dragon flying in the air.
   "Um... Don't anybody panic but we got company."
   Everyone looked up into the sky to see the familiar dragon Bahamut Dao Ming let out a sigh knowing Galen and Aero were safe. "Its Aero and Galen on Bahamut." Tristan said.
   Bahamut landed some distance from the party. Aero jumped down and turned to Galen, his hair was a mess and he looked like he was going to puke. "Hey are you ok?" Aero asked concerned.
   "I'll be fine." He said as he started to turn a pale green. Bahamut let out a low growl he did not want to be thrown up on. He moved his body slightly tossing the boy off him. Bahamut disappeared once Galen was off him. Aero and Galen met up with the party. Kage didn't look at Aero her shoulder was doing will most likely from Dao Ming's magic.
   "Well what do we do now?" Tristan asked
"We are going to set up camp for the night." Dao Ming said.
   "We don't have a clue as to where to find the next gem." Soo JIn said.
   "We will just have to ask around for possible whereabouts of the other gems." Antiope said.
"Whose turn is it to stand watch for the night?" Kris asked.
   "I believe tonight it is Akira's turn." Dao Ming answered.
    That night everyone settled down for the night the only ones still awake was Aero and Akira. "You know the next time you touch Kage I will have to kill you."
      "Hey, what she said to me was completely disrespectful. Even you know that don't you?"
   Akira nodded knowing all to well about respect and honor. "Still that was a bit extreme for just a warning."
   "Hah you know what you got as a warning from father if you misbehaved?"
   Aero lifted up his robe and right pant leg to revel a third degree burn that went from his ankle up to his knee. "My God! You know Dao Ming could cure that for you."
  "She's done enough for me already."
   "Alight spill how far have you two gotten already?"
    "Huh? Where'd that question come from?"
    "Don't play dumb Aero its pretty obvious that you two are in some kind of relationship."
    "I don't have to answer to you Akira. My relationship with Dao Ming is simply platonic."
        "You haven't tried very hard have you?"
     "Well what about you and Kage?"
   "You seen my courtship traps right? I don't have to try, she already accepted my courtship of her when she set a trap for me."
   "Why are you with us anyway?"
   "Come again?"
   "Why did you come with us? It was clearly not just to court Kage. So, what is it you're after?"
"Nothing."
    Aero eyed him suspiciously. "Well I should get some sleep."
   "Yeah go snuggle up to your girlfriend. Your boy already has." Aero turned to Dao Ming she was laying net to Galen and her new pet Cloaky lay between them. "You know Kage trust you. You know that's not usual for her."
"I know."
    "Don't disappoint her." Aero said before leaving Akira to his thoughts. Akira let out a sigh as he poked at the fire. That mage suspect what he's really doing here but what could he do? The thought of betraying Kage hurt, more so then when Rossima had him at Death's door. Maybe that's why it hurts they were technically considered engaged.
