Chapter 2: Enter Kadaj
A Shiver ran down Clouds spine and he quickly glanced up, tensing when he saw someone, noticing, Sephiroth shot a questioning look at him, but before he could verbalize the question, a voice interrupted,
“Cloud”
A husky voice said, Cloud looked up at him, before looking at Zack eyes conveying the hidden fear in the depths. The voice continued,
“I didn’t think I’d be seeing you so soon”
The voice had a smirking tone to it even though the look on his face remained in a small friendly smile,
“Guess you just couldn’t wait”
He reached over Tifa, who was still sitting, and gripped his arm hard. Cloud winced and whispered,
“What do you want?”
The man’s smile grew,
“I still have time left,” he paused, his smile turning into a smirk, “come pet, let’s go to the bathroom”
He glanced at Tifa,
“You mind moving?”
He questioned, though it was more of an order, she glared,
“Of course I do”
“Do your job, waitress”
He sneered,
“I’m sure there are other’s who are hungry”
She glared at him before standing,
“How may I help you?”
She asked, pen and paper ready,
“Sorry Tif, but I think we’ll eat somewhere else today instead,”
Zack grinned, eyes cold as he kept looking at the man. Tifa sighed in relief,
“Of course sir, I hope you come again”
She moved effectively blocking out the man, leaving enough room so that Cloud could slip out and leave. They quickly took off, the man trying to follow, Tifa once again blocking him,
“Excuse me sir, but your bill”
She said, he cursed, and she let a smile slip across her face. Taking out a hundred dollar bill, he quickly thrust it towards her,
“Keep the change”
He growled, already moving towards the door, Tifa looked at him as he practically flew out the door, ‘oh Cloud’ she thought, ‘please be safe.’
Zack and Sephiroth walked hurriedly to the car, dragging Cloud between them, almost there, a hand snapped out, and grabbed the back of Clouds shirt, giving a surprise yelp, Cloud slammed against a chest, an arm hugging his waist tightly, he struggled trying to get out of the embrace, but another arm came and wrapped around his upper body, arms trapped. Zack and Sephiroth spun around and glared,
“Let go of him”
Sephiroth said, voice cold, and eyes matching.

Yazoo watched everything carefully, his two brothers arguing,
“Guys”
He started, as he saw the man grab him, the bickering continued,
“Shut up”
His voice raised, the other two stopped a little surprised that Yazoo had actually raised his voice at them.
“If you’re done”
Yazoo said, never once looking at them,
“I think you both should see this, especially you, Kadaj”
The tone of voice changing at the end to slightly teasing and sad, he continued,
“I think the blond is that guys whore”
Loz and Kadaj traded glances, then looked where Yazoo was, three of the people were arguing, while the blond continued to struggle, every now and then saying something. Kadaj glared and with no warning, started towards them, surprising his brothers,
“Kadaj, what are you doing?”
Yazoo questioned,
“He’s the guys whore, so what should you care”
Loz said, earning a glare from Yazoo, after all, he still didn’t like the way Loz tried to degrade him, Kadaj also glared,
“Whore or not, he’s trying to get away”
“You just want him for yourself,”
Hissed Loz. Kadaj spared him an amused glance,
“And if I do?”
He shrugged,
“There’s just something about him, and he deserves better anyway, besides, I won’t treat him like a whore”
He finished, speeding up. Yazoo and Loz looked at each other, one happy, the other disbelieving,
“He’s crazy”
“I think brother is in love”
“In love? Already?”
“Love at first sight”
“You’re a sap, Yazoo, but whatever, I’ll be nice, who knows, maybe he’s an ok guy”
“Good”
Yazoo nodded,
“It’ll make brother happy.”

“Let go of him”
Sephiroth said, voice cold,
“Why should I?” He’s mine anyway”
“Cloud doesn’t belong to anyone”
Zack snapped,
“He’s not your pet who will come running to you when called”
Sephiroth continued, his glare intensifying.
“Sure he is” a hand brushing his face before wrapping around him again.
“Let go of me”
The man glanced down,
“If you want money, that’s fine, I have more than enough”
“Not the point”
Cloud’s tone was curt,
“There a problem?”
A new voice entered. Everyone looked toward the voice, a teenager stood there with two others at his side. The man growled slightly,
“Get lost, this doesn’t concern you,”
He hissed out. The mysterious youth shrugged,
“Maybe not”
He smirked; the one on his right finished,
“But we’re making it our concern”
The other on the left frowned,
“I think you should let blondie go, before I make you let him go”
The man sneered letting him go,
“You’re all lucky that I have work to get back to,”
With one last look at Cloud he turned and left. Zack grabbed Cloud lightly by his shoulders, ignoring the others, he quickly checked him over,
“You ok spike?”
Cloud nodded his head and Zack pulled him into a hug, Zack turned to face the others noticing that Sephiroth and the three were just staring at each other, well, Zack quickly amended in his head, two of them are, the third one is looking at Cloud, seeing this, he pulled Cloud closer into his side, arm wrapped securely around his waist.
“Did he hurt you?”
The one staring at Cloud asked, Cloud looked over to him and blushed, a small smile on his lips, he shook his head,
“He didn’t hurt me, thank you” he whispered. Then there was an awkward quietness surrounding them.
“Hm…I wonder why no one else came, or seemed to notice”
Yazoo broke the quietness, his comment making the others look around, and not a single person seemed to be paying any attention,
“Whatever, I’m not going to question it”
Zack said,
“Come on spike, we still have to get some food into you, we can go back since he’s gone now”
He started to drag Cloud away, Sephiroth following.
“Wait”
A voice called, they turned around
“My name’s Kadaj, may my brothers and I join you?”
He questioned, Sephiroth and Zack traded suspicious looks, while Cloud looked down try to hide the blush that was on his face, before lightly tugging Sephiroth’s shirt, he whispered,
“Can he come?”
The blush deepening, as Sephiroth looked down at him before sighing,
“I suppose it wouldn’t hurt” he directed this both towards Cloud and the three brothers, who wasted no time in joining them, Kadaj smiling at Cloud, who was thinking that his blush would never leave his face.
