The slums were filled with all sorts of drunks, particularly the lecherous kind as Lore found out. Without his uniform he was just one of the mass. For some reason, even though Shinra recently gave Hojo a large research grant, Lore had to do shopping in spare parts dealers and shady underground markets.

A boy came running out of nowhere and hit Lore sending him and his various equipment flying. This was not good. If the professor saw that Lore had come back with nothing there was sure to be some form of punishment and leaving punishment up to Hojo would not be enjoyable. “Hey kid! What do you think you were doing?! You’d better replace all this!”

“But…Mister! My friend he’s passed out! Please help him!” The boy looked desperate so Lore decided to follow him.

Lore stopped short, the boy’s friend was one of Hojo’s prized experiments, the one that escaped just about a week before. No wonder he’s collapsed after what Hojo did to him it was a wonder that he was even alive and functioning. The professor had instructed him not to bring him back, but he couldn’t just leave him there. Dammit, what could he do? The professor would kill him if be brought a top-secret experiment to a hospital to be observed…Sometimes Lore really had to question the ethics of the Shinra Corporation.

“Um, listen, kid. Do you know anything about this guy?” asked Lore.

“I met him yesterday. He doesn’t remember anything ‘cept his name. We were gonna go on a journey today… Is he gonna be alright?” The only thing Lore could think of was to bring him to his apartment… It was the only place where he could keep Cloud without making more people involved. Already a small group of people were staring at the body on the ground wondering what was happening.

“Don’t worry; I’ll take care of him, ok? I happen to know him,” Lore held Cloud’s body up and realized that he now had to carry this guy all the way to the station.

“Will I see him again?” Denzel looked crestfallen. His mysterious discovery was now being taken away from him and he didn’t even get to go on a quest!

“Maybe. But, right now he’s got to be taken care of. So you go on home and don’t worry about it anymore,” Lore tried to smile at the kid but he knew that right about now Hojo would be wondering why he was running late and on top of that he would have to return from a whole day’s work empty-handed and with the burden of Cloud.

It seemed that Cloud spent weeks in his empty darkness. The omniscient voice had left him alone for quite awhile and Cloud felt he would give anything to hear that smooth voice again; the silence was almost driving him mad. He knew now what abandoned dogs feel when their masters go away and don’t return. Cloud tried to focus his mind on something else besides the voice. He remembered that there was also that mystery of the man in Cloud’s dream. He was muscular and had very distinctive hair…

I know I saw his face in the dream, why can’t I remember it now? He’d seen him one time before when he was dead. The voice said he was from Nibelheim. Wasn’t that a small town in the mountains? Cloud was happy he could at least partially muster up an image of the place he was from. He was bored and decided to try to picture the people from the town. What was his childhood like? Suddenly a girl with long brown hair popped into the scene. She must be his childhood friend! He was finally making some progress…

“I see you’re occupying yourself well.”

Cloud was suddenly shaken out of his image of the town and brought back to the darkness by the sudden reappearance of the voice.

“Are you keeping me here? Every time I close my eyes I’m trapped in this nothingness with only you. What’s your goal? What do you want with me?!” Cloud screamed into the dark wondering if he was even facing the voice or not.

“ah, my love, you seem to be in a bad mood. Perhaps I should leave you with your thoughts …”

“No, wait!” Cloud felt the voice disappear again and realized that he may not be making as much progress as he thought.

“Lore, I think you know what I’m going to ask,” the professor was writing down some data but for some uncanny reason knew that his assistant had just tried to sneak in unnoticed.

“Professor, I..I don’t know where to start…” Great, whatever was coming Lore’s way he was not looking forward to.

“Start with the cause behind your flushed face and elevated heart rate,” said Hojo calmly.

“I had picked up all your orders just like you said to, Professor. And then I ran into something that required my attention,” Hojo was watching him intently. For a moment Lore thought he might lie, but then he realized any attempt would be futile. Lore felt sympathy towards the specimen. His life was just another life that Hojo took and used for his own devices; Lore was getting added to that list.

“Yes, my dear? What could possibly be so important that you were late by 4 hours?” Hojo loved the fear that was now so visible in his assistant’s eyes. He decided to get closer and make Lore a little more cornered.

“I found the escaped specimen. A boy said he lost consciousness and I couldn’t just leave him in the slums… Apparently he doesn’t remember anything; not even what you altered.” Lore winced as Hojo reached out and cupped his cheek.

“Really? You’re such a good boy…Where did you put him?”

“I could only think of bringing him to my apartment…He isn’t conscious yet,” The professor grinned and ran his hand down the side of Lore’s body.

“Good, I don’t want him to be aware of what he is. When he awakes be sure to fill him in with the appropriate information; however, there is the matter of you losing most of my important materials. What should I do about that?” Dammit, he knew this was going to happen and he could see the perverted glint in the professor’s eye. He was either about to get molested or become another of the professor’s “masterpieces.”

“No…please, I’ll do anything! Please don’t hurt me…” Lore could feel tears start to form and roll down. He sunk down to the ground in a ball, he’d work around the lab as a guard for awhile and seen the things Hojo had done.

“Are you scared, my dear? I would never hurt you. Those lips, your hair, your face, are all something I’ve given up before and I won’t do it again.” There he goes again…The professor is using him as some kind of surrogate person! Who?

“Professor…what are you..” Before Lore could finish his sentence Hojo grabbed him and threw him onto the nearest tabletop. Lore’s coat was now being forcibly ripped off and tossed aside. Who knew that the thin, sickly-looking man had it in him? Lore tried to wiggle free, was he going to get raped?!

“Shh, calm down, my dear…I told you I wouldn’t hurt you. Just relax.” Relax?! How could he relax when he could feel Hojo slowly lick and nip at the side of his neck?

“Ah! No…please,” Lore was rapidly losing his hold of his pants. “My raven-haired beauty, stop resisting ,” Hojo whispered into Lore’s ear and started to stroke his chest.

Damn, this is bad. Lore felt himself start to react to his superior’s touches and started to move himself closer to the hands traveling around his body. The professor started to undo his own pants and pulled Lore closer.

“I know how you can redeem yourself, my dear. You can use that pretty little mouth of yours to please me,” Lore was now face-to-(face?) with the professor’s cock. He knew he really only had one choice, to obey.

Slowly Lore took the professor into his hand and started touching him timidly. It was hopefully the first and last time he would have to do this. He started licking around the base and moved up and down with his tongue caressing Hojo’s balls with his hands. He felt Hojo twitch with delight and decided to move up to the head.

Hojo was enjoying the sight of the boy knelt in front of him. He had had so many dreams like this where agent Valentine would submit to him and finally let Hojo do as he wanted. Unfortunately, he fought back and Hojo had to contain him somewhere no one could find the presumed-dead Turk. Now he had an assistant who looked exactly alike attempting to deep throat Hojo; life was good.

Lore tried his hardest not to gag as the professor spilled a huge load into his mouth.

“Good job, my dear. Next time you may not get off so easily.”

Cloud woke up to sunlight in a room he didn’t recognize and to a person he had never seen before. He was about Cloud’s age and had long, dark hair and was sleeping in an armchair across the room. When Cloud continued to stare at the stranger he opened his eyes.

“Oh! Good morning, I’m glad you’re awake. I was hoping you were ok,” Lore put on a sunny smile and presented his hand, “I’m Lore by the way. I found you in pretty bad condition.”

“Uh…Thanks, I guess,” replied Cloud, “I think I owe you my life.”

“No, I finally get to meet you Cloud. I was wondering what you were like…” Lore hoped to spark the interest of the blonde so he could teach Cloud all the memories Hojo wanted. It seemed to work Cloud was staring at Lore in astonishment.

“You know me?? I can’t believe it…” Cloud started laughing. He’d spent two weeks hungry and half-insane talking to the voice in his head when the answers he could find were in an actual person!

“Um? Are you ok?” Lore brought out some sandwiches and soup.

Bright blue eyes stared up at Lore’s. “Yes, I was tired but I think I want to hear who I am first.”

Great, Lore was terrible at lying and now he had to lie to Cloud about his entire life.

“Wait…You know me, you have long hair, and it’s dark…” Cloud grabbed Lore’s arm and pulled him down onto the bed. “Are you him? Are you my lover?”

Cloud’s face was right above Lore’s, his eyes were so intense that Lore tried to turn his head away and push Cloud off of him, but Cloud wouldn’t budge.

“You can’t keep anything from me any longer. I think you know that. I’m not letting you go until you tell me everything.”
