Storm Cloud Smiles
Flora_Winters Disclaimer: I do not own Final Fantasy VII or Crisis Core and I’m not making any money here either. I do believe Final Fantasy VII is one of the best video games ever to me made and anyone who has the balls to disagree with the AWESOME that is ME will be all smitey-smoted by my lovely Knights of the Round. Summary: Sometimes the dead simply do not stay where he thought he didn’t bury them. A ghost story which haunts windswept halls and beyond time. MM, Strong Language, Violence, Cloud-Zack, Cloud-Genesis, Cloud-Sephiroth, Cloud-Vincent, Genesis-Sephiroth Chapter Two: They Will Bite Your Face Off and Grin about It Management was none too pleased when Cloud informed them about the hole that had mysteriously appeared in their lovely bamboo wall, but, they were immediately smiling once more when he forked over the gil to pay for the damages that he assured happened while he was away. He even paid for the shattered mirror as well. So, in the end, they gave him another room and practically begged him while on their knees not to allow anything else to be wrecked. That would cut into their revenue and whatnot. He had given them a wonderfully faked smile and assured them not to worry about it. He would keep a sharp lookout for the vile perpetrator. If only they knew what haunted him. They would break shit and kick holes though walls as well. He held the sparkly bubbles in his hands and blew them into the air. They floated all around his wet head in pearly radiance as he sat back in the hot, steamy water. The bathwater was up around his neck and it felt so good. Turning his head to the side, he looked at the necklace he had placed on the small white table near the bath. It was all aglitter with a soft crystal red light. Who in the world was that strange, yet beautiful guy? Where had he come from? The moon had been so big, like it was coming down to say ‘hi’ to the planet. It was spooky and yet the guy’s presence had greatly comforted him. It was so odd. He glanced at his bruised wrist and shivered in the hot water. How could a dream injure him like this? “Tick-tock, Cloud,” an even spookier voice whispered from all around. It sounded as though it were coming from the very bubbles. “Tick-fucking-tock…” Not again. Oh, please. Not again. ~OOOOO~ It was so quiet. The Shinra Mansion was always that way. There was more noise in a cemetery at the dead of night. “Something tells me you’re trying to piss me off,” Sephiroth said, sitting at the foot of the bed, sharpening his sword for no apparent reason other than to look wicked and scarily intimidating. “Do you have any idea how badly I can fuck you up in here?” Cloud was tightly restrained to the bed by ropes and instantly began to fight them. He couldn’t break them and he looked at the silver haired ghost. He couldn’t move. If this was a dream, why couldn’t he do anything? How come he had no control over the happenings here? “Because,” Sephiroth answered, tapping his long blade against a large booted foot. “I am stronger than you.” Cloud snorted. He’d actually snorted. He really was losing his goddamn mind. He had just snorted right in Sephiroth’s face. “Did I say something funny?” Sephiroth asked with a crooked smile, showing his sharp teeth as he stood up in a flap of dark leather. “Why don’t you share so I can chuckle right along with you?” “Okay,” Cloud said, fooling around with his ropes a bit more, doing his best to try and loosen them. “You say you’re stronger than me?” Sephiroth nodded, opening his muscular arms wide, looking down at him. “Obviously.” “I killed you…twice now.” “And I just seem to be coming back for more, huh,” Sephiroth said, chuckling and then laughed out loud. His laugh was deep and booming. “You’re right! This is funny!” Cloud shivered. Those green eyes were blazing with poisonous insanity. “Don’t you see, Cloud?” Sephiroth asked, instantly sober and looming over him like a shimmering silver storm. “You can’t kill me. You can’t stop me. The only thing you can do is delay me.” He was howling with laugher once more, spinning away from him in a circular dance. It was graceful and quite eerie to watch. Sephiroth dancing was the stuff of Nightmare’s nightmares. Suddenly, Sephiroth snatched up his mighty sword and brought it down right between Cloud’s sprawled legs in one swift swoop. The blade split the bed right down the middle, for the most part. Cloud gasped, wondering if that sword could really hurt him like Zack’s hand had. “It can,” Sephiroth answered him once more, suddenly dancing with a large pink fuzzy bunny in his arms. It was nothing to be laughed at. The bunny had razor sharp talons on each paw and had long ivory fangs. Its eyes blazed with a rust colored light. The general was talking to it as he danced around in circles. “Do you see the pretty blond on the bed over there?” The bunny blinked and its large head and its pink fur slowly started to decay and fall off into the floor with gooey thuds. The beast snarled like a hissing snake. Cloud instantly started to fight with his restraints again. The smell was terrible and the flesh kept rotting more and more. “He is a very naughty man,” Sephiroth cooed to it, petting its head, causing a floppy ear to fall off. “I would like it very much if you chewed on him for a while. I want you to make him scream and cry until I’m smiling with a hard on.” “Shut up!” Cloud yelled, struggling to no avail. “Keep that fucking thing away from me, you sick bastard!” “What was that?” Sephiroth asked, snapping his fingers. “Did you just say you wanted two new friends to take a happy gnaw on your intestines?” A second zombie bunny appeared from out of the growing shadows and it was scarier than the first one. It was even bigger and it smelled twice as bad. “Go on now!” Sephiroth howled with laughter. “Make him scream for Daddy!” Cloud did. His restraints snapped apart and he was off that dusty bed just as the rotting pair pounced with hissing snarls and snapping jaws. He raced by the stunned looking general and out the open doorway. He reached the stairs, only to yelp in pain when a strong hand had him by his hair, yanking him back really hard. “I didn’t give you permission to leave the bedroom!” Sephiroth yelled, pulling him back by his hair even harder. “You don’t even have a hall pass.” “Let me go!” Cloud shouted, clawing at the hand, trying to throw a good punch. “Gladly,” Sephiroth said, letting him go. Cloud yelped and went crashing down the stairs. He rolled and hit each one, finally landing at the bottom with a pained moan. He panted and groaned as he rolled over onto his back. Sephiroth walked down the steps as if his feet were walking on air. His hair shimmered in the pale light, causing each strand to look like deadly razor wire. “Did that hurt?” The general gently asked, standing over him, nudging a bare foot with his own. “I certainly hope so.” In one swift movement, Sephiroth straddled Cloud’s narrow waist, pinning him to the floor by each wrist. “Get off me,” Cloud groaned, kicking his legs and bucking his hips to try and throw him off. “Get the fuck off me, Sephiroth!” “Oh, I love it when you fight me,” Sephiroth laughed, face just inches from his. “You can fight me all you want, but it will only cause me to torture you even more. Is that what you really want? Do you enjoy my torturing you, Cloud?” Cloud bit his bottom lip, squirming in pain. He then got an idea. Something he had never done before. He spat right in the general’s grinning face with all the hatred he could muster. Luminous green eyes widened in shock and a jaw fell. Cloud couldn’t help but grin. If only the son-of-a-bitch could see his stupid face. It was priceless. He had actually shocked the hell out of Sephiroth. Those green eyes narrowed with hellish scorn. Sephiroth bared his teeth and suddenly had his hands around Cloud’s neck, squeezing. “Stop!” Cloud gagged, thrashing under the general’s weight. “Let go!” “You little bitch! I ask for so fucking little!” Sephiroth screamed, squeezing even more, digging his gloved fingers into Cloud’s tender flesh. “I’ll teach you to spit into the face of a god, you little worm!” Cloud struggled, trying to remove the hands from his neck. Those fingers were digging in so hard; he thought he could feel himself bleeding. He cried out and tried scratching up Sephiroth’s face, but couldn’t get at him. “I’ll squeeze until your eyes bulge and bleed from their sockets!” Sephiroth shrieked, looming right above his face, grinning with malevolence. “I’ll squeeze until you’re forced to bite your own protruding tongue and then piss yourself like a frightened dog!” Cloud gagged and spluttered. His mind was screaming for him to wakeup. He was in so much pain. All he wanted was for it to end. “Damn you!” Sephiroth hissed, releasing him, rolling away with a venomous snarl. Cloud coughed and gagged for air as he held his neck. “You are purposefully trying to make me forget myself,” Sephiroth glared, fighting to restrain his rage. He wiped the spit from his cheek, looking at his gloved hand with disgust. Cloud rolled over, getting to his knees. His hands were covered in splotches of blood. Sephiroth had made him bleed. “Do as I tell you, Cloud,” Sephiroth told him, standing with lazy ease. “And I will gladly end your suffering.” Cloud heard the two bunnies. He turned his head toward the stairs and there they were. The two of them were looking down at him with dead eyes, which were filled with an unknowable hunger. Their flesh was still dripping off their frames, hitting the floor with meaty thuds. “Or,” Sephiroth grinned, stepping to the side with a viscous snap of leather. “I’ll let him fuck you while they feed on that bleeding heart of yours.” Cloud put his bloody hands to his mouth and backed away towards the large double doors. It was Zack. He was standing there under the pale light from the chandelier. He was hunched over, clothes caked with mud and his flesh was grey and peeling. Zack looked up, cocking his maggot filled face to the side, gazing with puss oozing from his empty eye sockets. His black mouth was gaping open and a nest of spiders and scorpions fell from it. Cloud spun away in horror and began fighting with the closed doors. They wouldn’t open. That hollow voice called to him. It filled his gut with raw terror. His whole body broke out into a sweat. “Cloud…” He screamed and started punching at the door with his fists, kicking at them too. They wouldn’t open for him. He pulled and pushed with all his might. “Wake up!” A loud voice shouted over the Zombie’s rattling voice. He felt a sharp sting across his left cheek. “Oh, Cloud,” Sephiroth laughed. “You better wake me up. You know where I am. Come get me now.” Cloud could feel that dead hand on his shoulder and he screamed even louder. His eyes snapped open and he shot up out of the water, gagging and spitting. He was so blinded by fear he didn’t see that he was about to trip over the edge of the tub. He cried out and hit the floor hard. He quickly raised his head up, looking around the bath. It was empty. He was the only one there. He gasped for breath. His lungs felt as though they were on fire and his neck was killing him. “Is someone there?” He asked in a croak. His throat was raw. His cheek was stinging, too. Had someone really called out his name and then slapped him? He slowly crawled to his feet. There was a mirror on the wall to his left and he carefully looked at himself. His left cheek was pink and his neck was purple. He could see the hand prints and the finger marks. It was real. All of this was really happening to him. Sephiroth was no ghost. He was something else. Could he still be alive and stalking him though some psychic link? He stripped the bed of its covers and threw a sheet over the mirror. He didn’t want to look into it anymore and he didn’t want anything to be looking out. He dried off, got dressed, packed his things and got ready to depart. That was when he suddenly remembered the charm. He walked back into the bathroom and took it up off the table in the corner. He put it over his head and around his neck, tucking it under his vest. The moment the gem touched his bare flesh, the effects were almost immediate. The cold was gone. He was embraced by a warm presence and it chased the fear away. There was no more chilling horror breathing down his neck. Everything felt nice and good. He was never taking it off again. ~To Be Continued… Please review and tell me what you think. I love reviews. They make me happy. There are lots more chapters to come. It only gets better and better. The crazy is only just beginning. Believe me. If you thought Sephiroth was insane…well…ha-ha, you’ve not seen anything yet. ~FloraWhile AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
