You were in the tent getting dressed, when you heard Noct sigh “Damn it Iggy, it’s too early”, Gladio chuckle “You’ll be alright”. You unzipped your tent and stepped out, earning the attention from the guys. Promto beamed “There she is! You ready?” You gave a nod “Yep, all set!”. Everyone piled into the car, and Noct held the door open for you. You thanked him and slid next to Gladio, waiting for Ignis to take off. You were supposed to go to a tomb in the middle of the forest, and you hoped it wouldn’t be in the deep depths of a dungeon again. You slid your headphones on and listened to music on your phone. You were nodding your head and relaxing when you found Noct studying you. You smirked and slid and ear bud towards him. After a second he took it and put it in, grinning from your choice of music.
            When you guys finally arrived, you got out and headed towards the location you were given. You walked in the entrance and groaned, knowing immediately it would be another long dungeon. Prompto laughed “My thoughts exactly ___”, Gladio pushed past you both “Let’s just get this over with”. You went through twists and turns, getting lost a couple times, and getting scared when daemons randomly popped up. You had to fight an Arachne, which you freaking hate spiders, and then eventually you found the tomb. Noct slid his hand crossed your lower back as he passed you so he wouldn’t bump into you, but that touch sent sparks through you and you prayed he would do it longer.
            He held his arm out and the royal arm went through him with a beautiful flash. All the weapons danced around him and then vanished as quick as they came. He turned around and looked at everyone, then his eyes fell on yours. “Alright, another one down” Gladio said, but you could barely hear his voice. Everything seemed so far away when you were staring in his eyes. Finally Ignis snapped you out of it by clearing his throat and you torn away from Noctis to look at him. Ignis raised a brow “Are you two ready? We have to navigate back to the entrance and hopefully miss all of the daemons on the way” You nodded “yeah, of course! Let’s get out of here I’m running low on fuel”.
            You all navigated your way through the dungeon again and only ran into a few goblins and flans, which you hated those as well. When you finally stepped out and saw sunlight, relief flooded you and you let out a long breath “Ah thank gods! Sunlight!” Prompto ran up next to you and chuckled “Oh yeah! It’s so beautiful!”. You walked out of the cave first and ran your hands through your hair, soaking in the sunlight. The guys walked passed you and Gladio laughed, “Alright, come on. I’m starving”, Noct groaned “Yeah, me to”.
            You started to follow them and heard growling all around you. You tried to look around and find the source, but you couldn’t see anything. You got a bad feeling in you stomach, “Guys, we need to get-“. Something slammed into you hard, and you fell on the ground with it on top of you. You screamed and dug your sword against its neck to keep it from biting your face off. You opened your eyes and panic spread through you when you saw the Coeurl on top of you, clawing at your sides. It’s claw finally connected with your stomach and you screamed, trying to kick it off. Someone threw it off you and grabbed your arm, tossing you into someone else. Gladio stood in front of you and you were now in Noct’s arms, everyone looking at you with worried expressions.
            You tried to stand but the pain in your stomach was too much. You let out a hiss, “Shit, that hurts so bad” Noct moved your hand so he could see and panic spread on his face. He looked over at Ignis, “Iggy you got a potion?” Ignis nodded and dug into his bag “Certainly, but hurry. We can’t take on the Coeurl”. He handed you the potion and you crushed it, making the wound heal immediately. You sighed and stood up straight, “Thanks guys”. You all started to back away quickly, but then growls all around you stopped everyone in their tracks. Coeurl’s surrounded you and they had targeted you as their next meal.
            Gladio and Ignis looked at each other and sighed “Shit Iggy, this isn’t good” He nodded “Indeed, we may need a distraction”. You noticed that all of the Coeurl’s were staring right at you, not even paying attention to the guys. Ignis noticed this as well, and he looked at you “They seem to only want ____. Do you have anything on you that could attract them?” You shook your head no but then stopped. Oh no, you knew what was going on. You hid your face and groaned “Uhm, yeah”, the guys stared at you and you shifted uncomfortably. Gladio and Ignis’ face filled with realization and Gladio groaned, “Oh shit, they smell the blood”.
            Promto looked at you, “What? Oooooh!” You growled “Shut up! I don’t like this time of month any more than you do!” Noct finally got the hint and he hissed “Ah, shit. What do we do Ignis?”. Ignis sighed, “Like I said, a distraction is in order” Gladio looked at Noct “You still got the fire spell?” Noct gave a short nod and Gladio grunted when he blocked an attack from one of the Coeurl’s “Use it Noct and then run to the car!”. Noct did as he was told, and as soon as the fire enveloped all of you, everyone took off. The Coeurl’s kept up, and was right on your tail.
            You could see the car a little ways in front of you. You were almost there! Then, you heard a growl right next to you, and felt a thousand bolts of lightning hit you like a ton of bricks. You shrieked and fell to your knees for a second. More fire surrounded you, and you were dealt a second blow of lightning. Someone scooped you up, but you could feel your energy drain from the dungeon and the two shocks of lighting running through you. You looked up to see Noct carrying you, and you grinned, closing your eyes and giving into the exhaustion.
            You opened your eyes and groaned, looking around the hotel room slowly. Noct was next to you in a chair sleeping, and the guys were in the other bed doing the same. You rubbed your head and then sighed when you realized you had a killer headache. You felt Noct grab your hand and you looked at him. Relief was heavy in his eyes and he smiled “Hey, how are you feeling?” You returned the smile and nodded “Better, thanks”. Noct rubbed your hand with his thumb and he hummed “I’m glad… I-we were all worried about you”, you caught his mistake and you sat up eyeing him. You bit your lip “You were worried about me hu?” Noct looked down and swallowed the lump in his throat, but nodded to answer your question.
            You made him look at you and rubbed his chin gently “Thank you, but it’s going to take more than that to stop me”, he grinned “Good, I was really scared for a second”. You giggled and earned a small blush crossed his face. You squeezed his hand and hummed “I’m sorry I put us in danger… I should’ve known”, Noct scoffed “It’s not your fault? Don’t apologize”. You felt his finger brush your cheek and you closed your eyes, basking in the feeling of his skin against yours. He brought your face to his and your lips pressed together, sending pleasure through your body and your stomach fill with butterflies. You still couldn’t believe the prince chose you, but he has made it known many times that he wanted you instead of Luna. He wished he didn’t have to marry her, and you both talked about running away and it just being the two of you. You couldn’t ask Noctis to do that though, and you knew he loved his people too much to leave them.
            You both decided you would enjoy what time you had with each other while you had it, and you were alright with that. As long as you got to love him, you felt it was enough for a lifetime. You two broke apart and he rested his head on yours, then he chuckled “Maybe next time we should just wait till your done, right?” You laughed despite yourself and nodded “Yeah, sounds good”. You heard something beside you and you found the guys watching you, Gladio smirked “Now that you two have talked… can we please eat now?” Ignis got up and stretched “Very well. We will go out for dinner. Everyone get ready”.
