Chapter 4 ~ Forever SeeDy
Quistis woke up giggling in the
chilly air of her apartment Saturday morning. During the night she had a funny
dream about watching fish fuck in a giant aquarium. Small fish, big fish

�Hyne, that�s soooooo weird!� It was cold enough in her

Outside the window, the morning was gray and a light snow fell on Timber.

coming down, the images of her dream began to fade like wisps of smoke.

�Oh no!� she struggled to hang onto the words, the color, and the meaning,
�What was that girl saying? I should know �.�

But the words, the shapes, and the colors disappeared before her like snowflakes
melting on a glass window, returning to where they were born, before they could
be grasped.

Quisty yawned again, �I hate when that happens!�

Another cold, snowy December day. The night before, she ran home all the
way from the train station to take a hot shower. And not just because she
had some strange guy�s cum all over her. It felt good to wash everything
away ~ the lies, the secrets, and the fact that �.

She contemplated getting out of bed, �I can�t even have a decent

Quisty eyed her coffee maker, only a scant few feet away, but never so far.

Everything was a blur. He laid her down gently on her own bed and then
took off her coat and boots. In the dark, he undressed and got into bed
with her. There, he opened her thighs and entered her again, his cock

A mini-flurry of snow had come in under the door. It sparkled against her
dark wood floor like a field of tiny diamonds. As she watched, they spread
out with a puff as if from a breath.

�The door�s open downstairs!� She shrieked and ran for her fluffy
slippers, pulling the front door open and putting one on at the same time.

She stopped in her tracks again. Quistis gasped, her pink slipper falling
from her fingers onto the snowy floor.

�What the hell?�

Across the threshold of the door was a huge white box the size of a coffin.

�What the fuck?�

A sudden jolt of fear raced through her veins. Even roses grown next to a
nuclear reactor didn�t come this huge. The box seemed to be about 6 feet
long by 3 feet wide.

Quisty put her slipper on, �All right. If you�re hiding in there,
you�re gonna be so sorry.� She poked the box with her foot and
discovered that it was light. Ignoring the chill creeping up her legs, she
cautiously kicked the lid off the box and held her breath. When she saw
what was inside, her eyes flew open wide,

�Good Hyne!�

It was a mass of white fur nearly as long as the box and packed in pale blue
satin. She reached down to touch it. It was soft as a rabbit with a
ripple of silver running through it.

�No way,� Quistis tugged at it, pulling it out of the box. It turned
out to be a long fur coat. �Snow lion?� She shook it out and
held it up to her body, �Yup. That�s what it is.�

Floor-length, cut and dyed. One thing about snow lions ~ you could get a
lot of warm coats out of just one animal. But they had to be trimmed,
otherwise the person wearing it would look like a big fuzzball. The coats
were warm, and expensive. There were no farm-raised snow lions.
They could only be found in the woods up by Trabia, and they were hard to kill.

�Wow,� Quistis put it on. For a brief second she contemplated who the
coat might have come from. There was no card with it. Then she shook
her head, �There�s only one person with enough money for one of these.
It�s him.�

She looked down the stairs at the front door open a crack and the snow swirling
in. He didn�t close it hard enough. In her long coat and fluffy
pink slippers she went down to close the door, but first she looked up and down
Center Street. No cars. No one walking. No Seifer at the phone
booth on the corner. Just her in her snuggly new coat.

At the same moment she forced the door closed against the snow, the phone rang
upstairs.

�Hyne, I hope it�s Selphie,� Quistis whispered to herself, �I can�t
stand keeping a secret anymore.�

She skidded into her kitchen and picked the phone up from the breakfast bar,
�Hello?�

�Yeah,� a male voice said on the other end.

Another chill crept up her spine like a jolt of electricity that made the little
hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. She had a feeling �.

�It�s you, isn�t it?�

�Yup,� he said, breathing softly, �Quissy �.�

Hyne save us!

�Seifer,� she said plainly, standing in her fluffy slippers and fluffy coat.

�Yup again.�

When she thought about it, it couldn�t have been Selphie. Or any of them
from Balamb. They were all at Squall and Rinoa�s wedding in Deiling
City. She and Seifer were probably the only two people on the planet not
at Squall�s wedding. Fujin and Rajin were probably there, even.

Quisty started to make coffee, still wearing her coat, �Did you send me a gift
again?�

He paused. �You just know everything, doncha?�

She smiled to herself without answering him. His voice was different
today. Usually Seifer�s voice was loud and domineering. This
morning he seemed almost quiet. Subdued.

�It�s beautiful, Seifer. Where are you, anyway? You see, I don�t
know everything. I looked out the door and you�re not at the phone booth
�.�

�Let�s cut the shit, Quisty,� he said, sounding as if he were tired.

�What?� Her mouth dropped open in surprise.

�We need to talk.� He said under his breath, �Jeez, I never thought I�d
be saying that to a girl �.�

�Oh.� Quis watched the rich brown Galbadian roast slowly fill the
carafe, and felt another chill come over her despite her full-length snow lion
coat.

Is it you, Seifer?

She said, �About what?�

�I�m at the Timber Hotel. We need to talk about us, Quistis ~ where
we�re going. Because �.� He left off there, but she could
still hear him breathing, �Why don�t you come here? I�ve got another
surprise for you. We can talk and order room service.�

I think he�ll admit it now.

�Yeah? What�re you gonna say to me, Seifer?�

He laughed like his old self, �I�m not tellin� you �til you get here!�

He was in room 302. Quisty caught the significance of that immediately ~
it was the reverse of 203. She promised him she�d be there in half an
hour, hung up the phone, and started to get ready. As she looked through
her clothes, she wondered �.

Seifer, it has to be you. But why are you so determined to have me?

Considering all she knew about him, his reang png probably went back to the time they
dated when they were 15. Back then, Quisty refused to have sex with him.

Thinking about it made her laugh. Quis had never been good at guessing

She floated down the hallway to room 302 in her snow lion coat and knocked on
the door.

�C�min,� Seifer said on the othide.ide.

The door wasn�t locked. She noticed immediately that he had one of the
smaller rooms in the Timber Hotel, but this one had a king-sized bed in it.
He was sitting on the edge of it, bottle of beer in one hand, staring at the
floor. He didn�t look up at her.

�Hey,� she said and quietly closed the door behind her.

�Quisty, I � I think we should talk about giving us a chance,� he said.
He had on faded jeans, a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and his thick
silver watch. It made him seem older than 18. More adult-like.

She went to the little refrigerator in the room, took out an orange juice, and
sat next to him on the bed, �Okay.�

�What are you doing?� He said and took her juice away from her.
He put it back in the little fridge and took out a split of champagne, �Drink
this instead.�

�Wooooo!� Quis screwed the top off of it.

�Here,� he held up his bottle of beer, �let�s toast to us.�

Seifer was still having a hard time looking her in the eye. He seemed
defenseless for the first time in his life. Quisty put her fingers under

They each drank the other�s drink and Quistis remembered how much she hated

Seifer responded instantly. He put his arms around Quisty and pulled her

him roam for a little while.

Then she had an idea.

The radio was on, playing a song that reminded Quisty of the Blue Kitten.

Not Seifer. Why would it be Squall? He could�ve had her for free

�Driver,� Quisty leaned over the front seat as soon as they entered Deiling
City, �Galbadia Park Centre.�

D.C. was like a ghost town. In front of the centre was nothing but a bank
of limousines. No one was outside, waiting for the bus, or strolling down
the sidewalk, which was strange for this city even on a gray winter day.

Quistis paid the driver and then ran up the marble front stairs to the centre.
She opened the heavy front doors by herself and slipped inside the large
marble-walled lobby.

The first person she saw was Irvine, standing patiently like an usher, watching
the ceremony unfold in the main hall. Handsome as usual, his long hair
pulled back in a black ribbon, he was dressed in the traditional Galbadian
colors of red and black. He saw Quisty and smiled, not noticing that her
hair was kind of crazy looking,

�Hiya! You just made it. Squall was late. Isn�t that
�.�

There were about 500 people in the main hall, and some of those closest to the
doors were looking over their shoulders at Quisty and Irvine. She pulled
him off to the side,

�C�mere for a second.�

When they arrived at a spot where Quistis felt not everyone could see them, she
unbuckled his belt and unzipped his black pants.

�Quisty, right here?� He said quietly.

Not the dick. She realized it immediately. Irvine was a little
longer than usual, but not as thick.

Quistis continued on into the hall. Zell was coming up the aisle toward
her, also dressed in red and black,

red, Squall in black. Selphie and Cid were maid of honor and best man.

where a perplexed Irvine was buckling his belt.

She quickly pulled Zell�s pants down.

Nope again. Zell was too long and too thick. Quis felt

But there were more to be inspected, and all candidates seemed to be here at
Squall�s wedding.

She walked down the aisle slowly, looking over the crowd, making a spectacle of
herself and not caring. It seemed that not only was Mikki Blue dead, but
the old Quistis was dead as well. As she strolled along, more and more of
the crowd turned to see what was going on.

Where was Sasha?

She scanned all faces carefully. Edea and Ellone hand turned around in
their seats and were watching her, as was General Caraway. Ellone motioned
Quisty over to where she was sitting, but Quistis ignored her. Laguna was
sitting in front, waving to her, too, and smiling.

Laguna? Doubtful. Still, it wouldn�t hurt to check �.

Quisty continued up the aisle, a pretty blonde girl in an expensive fur coat and
high-heeled cowboy boots.

The crowd was silent, respectful. Far away the army officer in his blue
uniform murmured solemnly to Squall and Rinoa.

Zell came up to take Quisty�s arm and find her a seat but she brushed him
away. At that moment, Rinoa turned around. Her brown eyes locked on
Quistis and then flew open wide in shock. The officer�s words died in
the air. Squall turned around to also see what was going on, his face
impassive.

Squall.

She kept walking, one foot after the other, as if in a dream. Drifting
forward. Her hands at her side, her coat fell open. Like a cat,
Rinoa pounced, a flurry of red out of the corner of Quisty�s eye. Quis
had a vague feeling that Rin was screaming, Selphie holding her back.
Again she felt a hand on her arm and brushed it away.

This ends now.

One foot in front of the other. Approach carefully. As one would a
dangerous animal.

Squall was standing at the altar next to a bug-eyed army officer who was taking
in Quisty�s scantily-clad body. General Caraway came from right field,

�Young woman, what do you think you�re doing?�

Squall. Sasha.

One thing about Sasha. He was dark-skinned. And Quisty�s lover was

She suspected that in the back of her mind she knew all along it wasn�t Sasha.

Squall watched Quistis as she approached him carefully, Selphie and Laguna
holding a screaming Rinoa in the background. General Caraway had become
occupied with finding someone to help him carry Quistis out.

As soon as she was close enough to Squall, she said,

�You told me you loved me.�

He kept his cool. It had been trained into him until he felt more like an
iceberg than a human being. A hush fell over the crowd. She said it
again, her voice louder this time,

�You told me you loved me. Yesterday when you were fucking me in my bed,
you told me you loved me.�

Above the growing crowd noise, Dr. Kadowaki said, �Quistis!�

Her eyes filled with tears. She couldn�t help it. And yet Squall
remained impassive in front of her, his eyes blank.

�Miss,� General Caraway grabbed Quistis by the arm, �I want you out of
here right now!�

She pulled away from him yet again. There was only one thing left to do.

Quisty unzipped Squall�s black pants and reached inside as the crowd gasped.

Still can�t get a reaction out of him.

She was starting to feel kind of crazy, but at least she had him in her hand.
She took him out so she could be certain. Behind her, Rinoa fainted as the
crowd noise escalated into a yell. From left field, she heard Selphie say,

�Quisty, have you lost your mind?�

Bingo.

Squall pushed her hand away from his dick and zipped up just as Rinoa, breaking
away from Selphie, screamed I hate you, you fucking bitch! and picked up
an urn of flowers to hurl at Quisty�s head. He pulled her out of the way
in the nick of time and took her in his arms. Now there was a big splash
of water on the floor keeping the crowd from rushing Quistis and Squall.

He said to General Caraway just before heading out the side door, �This girl
is seriously ill. I need to get her in the back of a limo so I can give

Using their powers of auto-haste, they managed to beat the angry mob out of the
hall. Squall even locked the outer door on them. He picked Quistis
up in his arms and ran with her to the last limo in line at the curb just as
people were starting to stream out the centre�s front doors, with the pack led
by General Caraway.

Quisty slumped against Squall�s shoulder as the limo raced through the streets
of Deiling City, heading east. She felt totally wrecked and, as Selphie
guessed, a little crazy. But she also felt mostly on the good side.
Squall�s warm body was comfortable and familiar.

�Why?� Was all she managed to say, her face buried in his black shirt.

�Why?� He said to her, opening the bar, �Hyne, I need a drink after
that one!�

�Why were you showing your pussy to a bunch of strange guys? Huh?

Quisty blinked hard, wanting to stay awake. As the limo hit the outer city
limits and raced toward the darkening eastern night sky, she suddenly became
afraid that if she went to sleep, she would wake up only to find herself having
another weird dream.

�Hey,� Squall said and nudged her. He put his hands under her coat and
pulled Quisty close to him, �Let�s go back to Balamb.�

�Let�s start over,� she said, looking into hrighright blue eyes.

Squall tilted her face up and kissed her, brushing her soft petal lips.
All of the wrong moves he had made in the past were gone now. As he cupped
his lover�s round breasts in his hands, he knew what all the right moves would
be, and they were all inside his Quistis, starting in Balamb, and going on
forever.
