The sun beat down on your skin as you sat there waiting on the Regalia to be finished. Prompto was talking to Cindy, and the other's decided to go and shop for our curatives and food supplies. You were slouched against the garage when a shadow towered over you. "You're going to get burnt" a deep voice stated, and you peeked up at him with a smirk "I'll finally get some color on my skin then". Gladio chuckled and folded his arms, making you admire his muscle through his thank top. You sighed and leaned your head back, "Is Noct and Iggy ready? We need to get going to Lestallum to mean Iris" Gladio nodded "Yep, were ready when chocobo is. The Regalia just got done" you eyed him for a second "Really? You know he will never be ready". Gladio laughed and looked over as Noct and Ignis walked up beside him. Noct scoffed "Oh, no. Dragging him away will be hell" Ignis gave a slight nod "Indeed, but it needs to be done".
You stood up and dusted off your black shorts, "Leave it to me!". Prompto was your best friend, so you knew exactly how to handle him. However, you might have a little fun with it. You reached the love stricken boy and cleared your throat, making him stop talking and look at you with a grin "Hey ___! What's up!?" you shook your head "Prom, you have been bugging Cindy since you got here, leave the pretty lady alone!" Cindy chuckled and shook her head "Oh shoot! You're the Purdy one! Besides, I liked having the company of this handsome guy!" you gave a small smile at the compliment she gave you. You grabbed Prompto's arm gently "Say goodbye Prom! We're heading to Lestallum!" he stuttered for a second "W-what! Aw man, alright. Bye Miss. Cindy!" she giggled and waived back "Y'all come back soon! Take good care of her!".
You were all in the car enjoying the scenery, when Prompto turned abruptly "Noct! Can we stop and get a shot! It look's awesome!", you all looked at Noct who shrugged "Yeah, why not". Prompto jumped up and down in his sweet "All right!". Ignis parked the car on the road and you hiked over to the edge of the cliff, facing the meteor. Everyone huddled together while Prompto set up the camera. Ignis and Gladio were next to you and Noct was knelt in front. Prompto knelt beside him after a second and everyone gave a quick smile when the camera took the picture. Prompto jumped up and ran to the camera, "Oh yeah! I love the lighting!". You all got back into the car and Gladio sighed "I hope Iris isn't worried. It's been a couple days since I last spoke to her" You nudged his arm with yours "It's alright muscles! As long as we get there it'll be fine!" he smirked down at you "Thanks (n/n)".
You pulled up to Lestallum and Gladio held his hand out for you to take like he always does. You gladly took it and got out of the car with a smile and a stretch. "Good lord, we must've been in the car for hours!" Ignis hummed "Yes, it was rather long. Thankfully we arrived without any trouble", Prompto slid next to you "Anndddd it was longer for those of us who didn't fall asleep!". Your eyes rested on Noct and he shrugged "Whatever. I was tired". Everyone headed to the hotel and looked around, waiting for Iris to meet you. Finally, she ran down the stairs "Gladdy!" Gladiolus turned, and relief flooded his face "Iris! I'm glad your alright", they hugged as she giggled "Same! Took you long enough! You're staying here right?" Noct folded his arms "That's the plan". She bounced happily "Awesome! We have your room's ready!", Ignis sighed "Thank you, we will follow".
You spent most of the night playing King Knight and catching up with Iris. She explained to everyone that the fall of Insomnia was terrible, and our home was in ruins at the moment- or close to it anyway. After you were finished talking to her you sat in silence watching everyone around you smile and laugh. You couldn't get the thought of Insomnia out of your head, and everything you loved was gone. You couldn't help but think about where this would take the team now and prayed it would end quickly. You could feel yourself slipping into a deep depression, thinking of everything you have lost. When you thought nobody was paying attention, you carefully got up and left the room; making sure you didn't make any noise.
You past the parking lot and went to the lookout that faced the meteor. It was a magnificent sight, and the moonlight lit up the world around you. The cool breeze danced crossed your skin and you breathed in the fresh air, the aroma of flowers and food filled your nose. You leaned over the edge and kept staring at the scenery, when you sensed someone behind you. You quickly turned to see Gladio there, watching you carefully. He held his hands up "Woah, didn't mean to scare you" you let out a small laugh "What are you doing here?" He grinned and walked up to you "You're pretty good at leaving without going unnoticed... except I always notice when you're not around". You blushed and looked down at the ground "Oh yeah? You watching me?", he looked at you while he ran a hand along his chin "Kinda hard not to".
With that you two stared at each other, never losing eye contact. You always were attracted to Gladiolus, but you didn't think he returned your affections. You two flirted and goofed around a lot, but you thought it was innocent, on his part anyway. You would have never of thought he felt the same way about you. You bit you lip and turned towards him "Really?" you breathed, and he nodded "Yeah, your too beautiful to ignore". Your cheeks burned, and you laughed quietly keeping you eyes locked on his. You couldn't tear them away, even if you wanted to. Something inside you made you stay there, hoping he would come closer, touch you, or even pull you against him. Thank the God's he answered your prayers and grabbed your wrist, pulling you to him.
You slid your hands along his chest and wrapped them around his neck, pressing your body to his. He leaned down, making your breath catch in your throat and your eyes flutter closed. You could feel his nose brush yours, hesitant to continue and pass the point of no return. You gripped the collar of his jacket lightly, and he closed the space between you; letting your lips press against each other. You moaned as pleasure filled you, and his arms held onto your hips tightly. You didn't know how long you stayed that way, but you eventually had to separate for air. You stood there panting, staring into each other's eyes. He chuckled "Wow, that's better than I imagined", your eyes grew wide "You imagined kissing me? I thought I was the only one" he looked surprised but recovered "I'm glad you didn't push me away". You placed a small kiss on his lips and groaned "You kidding? How could I resist such a perfect man" he hummed "Just like I couldn't pass up a perfect woman".
You two stayed like that for a while before you walked back to the hotel hand in hand. He walked you to your room and pulled you in his arms one last time. He grinned "See you tomorrow beautiful. Don't worry, I won't tell them" you giggled and kissed him softly "I can't wait to see you" he sighed as you unlocked your door and walked in, turning to look at him "Good night" he smirked "Night (n/n)".
