Disclaimer: I don’t own FFVII, never have, never will. This here plot IS mine and I will chase you down if your try and steal it.
ZombieDuke Comments: Here I am, attempting to finish off Night of the Scarecrow and I go and read the reviews for Resurrection. Now I must update this runaway creature of a story.
Warning: NC-17. Adult content and situations. Some scenes are not meant to be viewed by young children or stupid people. If you have a desire to flame me, go ahead. I’ll post your flame in my next update so people can see and laugh at your stupidity.
Read and Review! I get most updating done because someone asks a question. Posts a point. Or make me really, really happy. Remember! Reviewing is good. It makes me write.
Riyoko: Thank you for your wish. I’m terrible sick (coughing, sneezing and a tad bit skitzy due to the amount of painkillers I’m currently taking.) but this story will continue!
yami_kurama: The reason is because… *sneezes and coughs* It will be explained later. Along with why Zack popped-up (In fact, I dedicate this chapter to you. I needed to figure out a way to explain the presence of Zack and how I was going to start this chapter. You have just inspired me. Thank you.)
Chandraken: Why thank you. Thank you very much. I try and keep the flamers at bay so Zack doesn’t go after them with a baseball bat.
Sephiroth’s Killer: It depends on which side of the force you use. Sorry for the lateness. I’m terribly ill. Begging is wonderful, and because you share the same love of Zack as I do, begging and Zack are gonna coincide somehow.

Chapter 6
~~~
“Hey, shit head, wake up.”
Sephiroth groaned as pain shot up his spin, his head throbbing and tried to turn away from the crude voice and paused. He couldn’t move. Creaking open one eye he moaned and squeezed them shut as the bright light of the infirmary invaded his vision and made his head throb even more.
“You think he’s dead?”
“He’s moaning. Do you think he’s fucking dead?”
“…Good point.”
If there was one thing Sephiroth hated more then loud noises when he had a headache, it was when loud noises were talking about him in the same room and in a hospital room no less. Gritting his teeth, he opened his eyes and held back the urge to flinch at the bright light and instead fixated his gaze on the two bickering people that stood in front of his bed.
“Oh shit, he looking at us!” the one on the right whispered, his short blonde hair and goggles made Sephiroth think of one of the crewmates from Cloud’s adventures. Wasn’t his name Cid?
“Quiet, quiet!” the one on the left faintly shrieked, her red eyes looking almost frantic. “Maybe if we don’t move, he won’t notice us!” she finished, looking almost hopeful at the blonde.
From what Sephiroth could make out with his blurry vision and shredded mind, she must be Tifa. Cloud’s childhood crush. He suddenly had an urge to kill the busty brunette but then remembered who got both the boy and man.
“He isn’t like a drunk chocobo Tifa, you can’t just give it a few drinks and run away.” Cid said, annoyed at the desperate brunette.
“Don’t make comparisons with Cloud and chocobo’s. How was I supposed to know Cloud gets randy when he’s drunk?”
Sephiroth was just about to open his mouth to ask how she knew this when the door to the room opened and Reeve walked in quickly followed by Nanaki. “He should be better in a few-oh crap.” Reeve halted in mid step as his gaze met Sephiroth’s.
Reeve looked to Cid and Tifa. “I thought you said he was dead.” He whispered, loud enough for everyone in the room to hear.
“I AM NOT DEAD!”
Everybody jumped and stared at Sephiroth who in turn, glared at them from his bed. “I am not dead, I might have once BEEN dead but as you can quite clearly see,” he said, making eye contact with one and all. “I am alive.”
“How the fuck is that fucking possible, you fucking-’’
“Where’s Cloud?”
It was Nanaki who spoke up, watching Sephiroth curiously.
The silver haired god groaned and whacked his head against the pillow. “I don’t know.” He started, turning his gaze to Nanaki’s. “The last time I saw him was in that fucking Vampire’s shop when he asked vampy to be the baby’s godfather.”
Silence filled the room as everybody stared in shock at the hospitalized man. Tifa was the first to make any movement and ended up fainting, Cid plopped down on floor, his mouth hanging open and Reeve stood stock still while Nanaki merely curled up, his tail waving back and fourth as if in thought.
Finally, Nanaki cleared his throat and looked up at Sephiroth. “If you’ll excuse Reeve and I, well be right back.” Standing he left the room with the still stunned Reeve in tow. The two walked in silence until they reached the room where Vincent lie, heavily medicated to keep him from waking up and to numb the pain. “Well then, that explains why Sephiroth and Vincent nearly killed each other.”
Reeve looked down at Nanaki and frowned, crossing his arms he tapped his foot. “How so?”
Nanaki paused, unsure of how to continue and gave up. What did it matter anyway? Reeve had been with them as Cait Sith so he probably knew some of what was going on as well. “You probably know about Cloud and Vincent’s relationship during our travels, right?”
Reeve nodded.
“Well,” Nanaki began again, clearing his throat as he watched the rise and fall of Vincent’s chest. “Then you probably also know of the relationship between Cloud and Sephiroth way back when he was the General of ShinRa.”
Reeve frowned, “Yes, I’ve read those reports. But what does it matter? Why would Vincent and Sephiroth try and kill one another over Cloud?”
Nanaki’s tail flicked and he kept his gaze steady on Vincent. “Vincent cares for Cloud. A lot, if I may say so. If it had been his way, he would have taken Cloud for himself and not looked back.” He shook his head. “With Sephiroth in the picture, and Cloud carrying his child, it’s no wonder Vincent would try and kill Sephiroth.”
Reeve stared, watching Vincent’s sleeping body. “You mean to tell me the reason those two tried to kill one another was out of simple jealously?”
Nanaki’s cocked his head to the side, watching as one of Vincent’s fingers twitched. “I’m not sure, but that could be the reason. Yes.”
The man blinked, almost as if coming out of a trance before his eyes widened. “But then what about Zack?”
The tail stopped twitching and Nanaki met Reeve’s eyes, blinking blankly. “Who?”
“Zack. Zackary… Zackary… damn it! I can’t remember his last name, but he shared an apartment with Cloud when Cloud was still a cadet and was friends with Sephiroth.”
Nanaki kept staring blankly at Reeve. “Cloud never mentioned Zack before.”
~~~~~~~~~
Cloud stilled, staring into the mako blue eyes of his once lover and whimpered.
A wicked grin covered the sinfully angelic face as Zack bent down and gently licked Cloud’s lips. “Shhhhh…” he whispered, slowly nestling himself between the blonde’s speared thighs, his weight pressing the blonde down and their erections together. “Look at you,” Zack murmured, grabbing hold of Cloud’s wrists and holding them by the blonde’s head. “All grown up.” He leaned down and nipped the blonde’s earlobe.
The blonde moaned, arching his back and turning his head so he caught Zack’s lips. He hissed into the kiss as the brunette bite his bottom lip, drawing blood. Cloud pulled his head away, well, as much as he could, seeing as how he was pressed between the bed and Zack. He wiggled his hips against his lovers, smiling at the groan he got in response and wrapped his legs around Zack’s waist, bucking upwards against the brunette’s arousal.
A rough thrust started it off and a hard and heavy grinding of their erections against one another kept it going. Cloud tilted his head back, panting as he lifted his hips against Zack’s, moaning at the sensations racing through his body. He gave a yelp of pain as Zack bit his neck hard and all but purred the brunette licked the pain away.
Grunts and groans filled the air soft moans and mewls answered back, the sounds of heavy breathing until a final choked scream and satisfied groan left the two exhausted in each other’s arms. Zack lie heavily on Cloud as he panted into the blonde’s neck. Cloud stared up at the ceiling, feeling a sudden wave of guilt cross his entire being. He struggled to sit up, pushing Zack off of his body with a groan and decided instead to just lie there.
“You know,” Cloud began, licking his lips, still tasting Zack and the blood still there.
“Sephiroth is alive.”
Cloud and Zack stared into each other’s eyes. “How did you know?” Cloud finally asked, watching as Zack stretched out next to him, hearing the joints pop in his shoulders.
“Don’t worry about it, sweets.” Zack said, leaning over and kissing the blonde’s forehead. “Just answer the phone. We’ll be meeting up real soon.”
The blonde blinked and turned his head toward the now ringing phone on the small table beside the bed before looking back questioningly at Zack. “It’s ringing.”
The brunette grinned wickedly before placing a final kiss on Cloud’s lips and pulling away. “Well then. You should wake up.”
~~~
Cloud sat straight up, his heart pounding as he panted for breath. He just had the weirdest dream… The sound of ringing caught his attention and he groaned, checking the time he groaned again. What madman would call at four-thirty in the morning? He reached out and paused, blinking at the bruising around his wrists and plucked up the phone. “Hello?”
“CLOUD WHEN THE FUCK DID SEPHIROTH COME BACK FROM THE FUCKING DEAD YOU FUCKING LITTLE FUCKING PIECE OF FUCKING CHOCOBO FUCKING SHIT?!?!?”
The blonde jerked his head away from the phone and winced, rubbing his poor ear and taking note of the same marks on his other wrist. “Hello Cid, how are you?”
“DON’T FUCKING HELLO ME YOU LITTLE FUCKING PIECE OF DOG SHIT!”
Again, Cloud pulled the receiver away and took note of his disheveled shirt. “Yes Cid. Can I help you?” He felt sore… very sore. Cloud rested the phone on the table as he pulled his shirt off, checking for anymore marks and stood on wobbly legs. Maybe he felt sore because of the pregnancy Cloud mused, poking his stomach and heading for the mirror.
“CLOUD? CLOUD?!? GET THE FUCK BACK ON THE FUCKING PHONE OR ELSE I’M GONNA COME OVER THERE AND BEAT YOUR FUCKING ASS IN!”
Said blonde leaned into the mirror, gulping as he saw a bite mark on his neck. He licked his lips and swayed as the sensations hit him like a river. He had been here. Zack had been here! His eyes opened wide and quickly grabbed the phone, ignoring the trademark triad of Cid Highwind. “Cid, where’s Nanaki?”
Silence on the other side of the phone. “He’s here kid. You’d better come get your boyfriend before Vincent wakes up and remembers he’s an ex-Turk.” Cid’s gruff voice replied before the pilot hung up the phone.
Cloud didn’t know whither to dance or cry. Sephiroth he could handle, maybe now the silver haired man would finally understand and maybe give his body a break for once. But, if it’s true that Zack’s alive… He plopped down onto the floor staring at the bite mark reflected in the mirror. Then pregnancy or no pregnancy, Zack was gonna kill him! Cloud groaned, flopping back onto the floor and stared up at the ceiling. Maybe he should just run for it. Maybe head to Wutai or Costa Del Sol, Cloud mused on those thoughts and blinked as stared straight into the lovely face of none other then-
“Hello Cloud.”
Cloud smiled.
“Hello Aeris.”
“Thinking of running Cloud?” Aeris innocently asked, plopping beside him and resting her head on his chest.
The blonde snorted. “I don’t think that’s possible Aeris. If I tried that, then someone or something would come chasing after me. Besides,” he began to gently stroke her brown hair, inhaling the scent of flowers and the outdoors. “With my luck Sephiroth would chase me down, fuck me until I couldn’t walk and then fuck me some more.”
Aeris giggled, “Must be hard to be the lover of a demi-god.”
Cloud groaned, his other hand coming up to rub his forehead. “You have no idea. Now with Zack wandering around-’’
“Zack?” Aeris asked, sitting up and watching Cloud curiously.
“Yeah, you know him?”
Aeris blushed and leaned back down, snuggling into Cloud’s embrace. “How could I forget him? That man was wild.”
“Yes he was,” Cloud agreed and closed his eyes.
Aeris suddenly groaned. “Wait, don’t tell me. He was involved with you too?”
The blonde blinked and looked down at her. He opened his mouth to speak and closed it, mimicking a goldfish. Aeris looked up and grinned. “I heard Cosmo Canyon is wonderful this time of year.”
He started at her and was about to respond when the phone rang once more. Glancing up he groaned and looked down at the brunette in his arms. She wasn’t there. Biting his lip, Cloud slowly stood up and cautiously picked up the phone.
“WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!? GET THE FUCK DOWN HERE THIS FUCKING MOME-UGH!”
The clash and screams filled the air as Cloud stood, blankly staring at the phone in his hand as the screaming continued. He slowly placed the phone back on the hook and quickly, not the ‘oh god, it’s the end of the world’ quickly but ‘gonna be late for lunch’ quickly changed his clothing and headed for the rebuilt Shinra tower.
~~~~
By the time Cloud had arrived, the sun was just beginning to rise above the horizon casting the Shinra tower in the rays of morning light. He squinted his eyes as he looked up at the tower and could have sworn he saw broken windows. The blonde shrugged his shoulders and entered the oddly empty building, stepping over broken pieces of furniture and shreds of paper work. He leisure entered the elevator, ignoring the guards that were curled up against the walls in fear.
The elevator ride went without a synch but when he stepped out, that’s when Cloud truly became unnerved. The hallway of Shinra looked as though a rabid chocobo had run through the entire building or JENOVA had come back for revenge. He took one step after the other, craning his head to the side and listening for any sign or sound of movement and felt the hair’s on the back of his neck stand on end as he heard nothing.
“Hell-oomp!” The blonde grunted as he landed on his back. A very terrified brunette clinging to him so tightly Cloud could already feel the dizzying lack of oxygen.
“Cloud? CLOUD!” Tifa all but shrieked as she clung to the poor blonde. She gazed up at him with wide frightened eyes. “I was so scared, I thought you wouldn’t come!”
Cloud managed to pull himself away from Tifa and held both of her hands at bay to keep her from attempting another cling attack. “Tifa, what happened?”
Tifa was about to respond when the sound of heavy footsteps entered the air and she hastily dragged the blonde with her into an empty office, the two keeping silent as the footsteps passed. Tifa looked over at Cloud and Cloud looked over at Tifa, a fine eyebrow raised. ‘What happened?’ he mouthed, keeping low and straining his ears for the sound of whoever had passed them.
She chewed on her bottom lip and leaned over Cloud, her full breasts pressing against the blonde’s chest. “I’m not sure,” she whispered into his ear, her breath sending shivers down Cloud’s spine. “All I know is that Sephiroth woke up and then and then…” Tifa pulled away, eyes going wide as she looked Cloud up and down before jerking herself away and standing up. “Is it true?”
Cloud blinked at the sudden change in mode and looked up at her. Why should one fight for what they wanted as a child only to discover it was never there? He nodded his head, fighting the urge to crawl into the floor as she stared down at him. The two stayed like that, almost as if they were statues stuck in time before Tifa stepped away and walked into the hallway.
“SEPHIROTH! VINCENT!” she yelled at the top of her lungs. Cloud hurriedly got to his feet, trying to grab her. “HE’S OVER HERE!”
Silence.
Tifa turned towards him and smiled sheepishly. “Sorry Cloud, there was no we could leave these two along in an office building full of dangerous things. If we did,” Tifa winked. “We could be dealing with a situation that could kill everyone.” And with that, Tifa turned and ran towards the elevator.
Cloud felt his mouth go dry, feeling as though he was bait for two monstrous creatures that hadn’t been fed it days. In a twisted sort of way, he was. His hands went to cover his stomach, protecting the small creature he was sure was residing somewhere safe inside of him and closed his eyes. Awaiting his doom.
He waited and waited. And waited some more. But one General and Vampire never appeared. Cloud opened his eyes, peeking around the hallway before groaning and wandered off to find what remained of his boyfriend and comrade.
Sometimes it didn’t pay to get out of bed.
He finally found someone, not the love of his life but a comrade and dear friend all the same. "Hello Vince,” he said, sliding down next to the paranoid sniper who was currently reloading an ammunition cartridge.
“How come you never told us Sephiroth could summon that damn sword at will?”
Cloud paused at that. He hadn’t expected that question but shrugged all the same. “I’m not sure. He always carried it around with him. Never thought of asking him about it. Why?” the blonde asked, tilting his head to the side as he watched Vincent skillfully reload the weapon with one hand. He blinked at the glowing ammo. “Are those the mako bullets you’ve been creating?”
Vincent finally finished loading the cartridge and slammed it shut against the floor, tilting his head to the side before turning towards Cloud. Wordlessly he raised his golden claw. “This is why.” The claw appeared to be dented in several places and looked as though a laser cutter had attempted to slice it in half. “And you second question?” Vincent ducked as a ball of flames passed over head before raising his gun in response and shooting back at the flamer. “Yes, these are the mako bullets.”
The blonde blinked and watched as the flame quickly engulfed a nearby table before disappearing into ashes. Licking his lips, he turned once more to find Vincent starring at him and shrugged his shoulders sheepishly. “The glow’s romantic.”
The vampire rolled his eyes and quickly rolled away from the wall the two were leaning against as a huge burst of thunder crashed where the brunette had just been sitting. Both Cloud and Vincent blinked as a tiny moogle riding a chocobo ran through the sizzling hole and ran off down the hallway.
Cloud’s eye twitched. If there was anything he loved more in life, beside his sword, Sephiroth, it was the child nestled within him and his chocobo summon. Nobody, but nobody fucked his summons!
Moving to a squatting position, Cloud quickly dived through the slightly smoldering hole and jumped behind the desk where Sephiroth was currently hiding and proceeded to pounce on the silver haired god. “Where did you get my summons?” He asked, glaring down at his lover. His shirtless lover. Cloud quirked an eyebrow. “Where’s your clothing?”
Sephiroth groaned and attempted to push the blonde off of his chest and ended up glaring at him. “Firstly, I found that summon in that gun of yours.” he hissed, rolling the blonde beneath him. “Secondly,” he growled, lowering his face to an inch above Clouds. “Your pet ex-Turk pretty much shredded all of my clothing with that claw of his and that’s why I’m missing most of my clothing.” Sephiroth finished, lowering his mouth to possessively kiss the frowning blonde.
Cloud groaned and pushed the silver haired man off of him and slowly stood up. “Vince!” He yelled, ignoring the sudden tugging of his belt or the way Sephiroth was attempting to drag him down again. “Stop the fighting, You can’t kill him.” Cloud stepped away from the glaring god and walked over to the hole. Peeking through, he was met with a pair of brilliant ruby red eyes. “Regardless of how much you want to.”
Sephiroth silently crept behind Cloud, his eyes making contact with Vincent’s and slowly moved to bite the blonde’s neck. He stopped, staring at a red bite mark on the blonde’s neck and dragged the blonde away from the hole, ignoring the yelping sound he got in response and pulled the him to his feet, Vincent following in tow. “Where did you get that bite mark?”
Cloud’s eyes went wide and nearly fainted as Vincent appeared behind him, studying the mark with interest. “Umm, ummmm…” he attempted to pull away from Sephiroth’s grip and looked between the two with rising panic.
Vincent was just about to say something when the sound of approaching footsteps made the three turn and watch as Nanaki slowly approached them. If it weren’t for the fact that patches of fur were missing from the red lion or the fact that Reeve was hiding behind Cid who seemed to be attempting to hide behind Nanaki, Cloud would say it was an interesting day.
“Everything alright, gentlemen?”
Sephiroth and Vincent exchanged glances before looking down at Cloud or rather at the bite mark on Cloud’s neck and silently shook hands.
Everyone stared as the two shook hands.
“Oh god,” Reeve moaned, hiding his face in his hands.
“Shiiiiiiiit!” Cid hissed, trying to back away and bumping into Reeve.
Nanaki turned his head to the side, watching curiously, as an unspoken agreement seemed to pass between the two. Things could get interesting.
Cloud watched their hands shake and already felt the urge to run. Run far. Maybe head to Cosmo Canyon as Aeris had suggested and hide out there until he died.
General and Turk released their hands. Vincent nodded his head before backing away from the blonde and walking over to Reeve and handing him the gun he was holding. “The bullets seem to work fine. Just make sure nobody’s directly in point blank range or it’ll hit the user as well.” With that Vincent walked down the hall and into the elevator.
Reeve blinked at the gun he was holding and carefully set it into safe mode before looking around the hall and destruction that had taken place. “Um… yes.” He cleared his throat, nodding towards Sephiroth and Cloud. “We’ll discuss Sephiroth’s resurrection and your, ah,” he tried not to be afraid of the glare Cloud sent his way, “pregnancy later. Maybe tomorrow.” And with that, he shakily turned and left, heading for the upper floors.
Nanaki and Cid exchanged knowing looks and started backing up. “Aw shit,” Cid started, eyeing the two soldiers with worry. “Well, see you later.” Both lion and pilot quickly turned and fled for the stairs.
Cloud and Sephiroth stood alone in the destroyed hallway, blinking at the sudden departure of everyone. The blonde turned to look up at his older love and raised a fine golden brow. “So, how many people did you kill this time?”
Sephiroth looked down at his companion and frowned. “Nobody really, I was aiming for the blood sucker to tell you the truth.” He moved suddenly, grabbing Cloud’s wrists and pinning him against the wall. “Now let me ask you, who the fuck grabbed your wrists?”
Cloud struggled and glared up into Sephiroth’s eyes. “Nobody.” He hissed and jerked away from the silver haired man, walking towards the elevator. “C’mon,” he called over his shoulder, watching his lover. “Let’s go home.”

Again, Cloud pulled the receiver away and took note of his disheveled shirt. “Yes Cid. Can I help you?” He felt sore… very sore. Cloud rested the phone on the table as he pulled his shirt off, checking for anymore marks and stood on wobbly legs. Maybe he felt sore because of the pregnancy Cloud mused, poking his stomach and heading for the mirror.
“CLOUD? CLOUD?!? GET THE FUCK BACK ON THE FUCKING PHONE OR ELSE I’M GONNA COME OVER THERE AND BEAT YOUR FUCKING ASS IN!”
Said blonde leaned into the mirror, gulping as he saw a bite mark on his neck. He licked his lips and swayed as the sensations hit him like a river. He had been here. Zack had been here! His eyes opened wide and quickly grabbed the phone, ignoring the trademark triad of Cid Highwind. “Cid, where’s Nanaki?”
Silence on the other side of the phone. “He’s here kid. You’d better come get your boyfriend before Vincent wakes up and remembers he’s an ex-Turk.” Cid’s gruff voice replied before the pilot hung up the phone.
Cloud didn’t know whither to dance or cry. Sephiroth he could handle, maybe now the silver haired man would finally understand and maybe give his body a break for once. But, if it’s true that Zack’s alive… He plopped down onto the floor staring at the bite mark reflected in the mirror. Then pregnancy or no pregnancy, Zack was gonna kill him! Cloud groaned, flopping back onto the floor and stared up at the ceiling. Maybe he should just run for it. Maybe head to Wutai or Costa Del Sol, Cloud mused on those thoughts and blinked as stared straight into the lovely face of none other then-
“Hello Cloud.”
Cloud smiled.
“Hello Aeris.”
“Thinking of running Cloud?” Aeris innocently asked, plopping beside him and resting her head on his chest.
The blonde snorted. “I don’t think that’s possible Aeris. If I tried that, then someone or something would come chasing after me. Besides,” he began to gently stroke her brown hair, inhaling the scent of flowers and the outdoors. “With my luck Sephiroth would chase me down, fuck me until I couldn’t walk and then fuck me some more.”
Aeris giggled, “Must be hard to be the lover of a demi-god.”
Cloud groaned, his other hand coming up to rub his forehead. “You have no idea. Now with Zack wandering around-’’
“Zack?” Aeris asked, sitting up and watching Cloud curiously.
“Yeah, you know him?”
Aeris blushed and leaned back down, snuggling into Cloud’s embrace. “How could I forget him? That man was wild.”
“Yes he was,” Cloud agreed and closed his eyes.
Aeris suddenly groaned. “Wait, don’t tell me. He was involved with you too?”
The blonde blinked and looked down at her. He opened his mouth to speak and closed it, mimicking a goldfish. Aeris looked up and grinned. “I heard Cosmo Canyon is wonderful this time of year.”
He started at her and was about to respond when the phone rang once more. Glancing up he groaned and looked down at the brunette in his arms. She wasn’t there. Biting his lip, Cloud slowly stood up and cautiously picked up the phone.
“WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!? GET THE FUCK DOWN HERE THIS FUCKING MOME-UGH!”
The clash and screams filled the air as Cloud stood, blankly staring at the phone in his hand as the screaming continued. He slowly placed the phone back on the hook and quickly, not the ‘oh god, it’s the end of the world’ quickly but ‘gonna be late for lunch’ quickly changed his clothing and headed for the rebuilt Shinra tower.
~~~~
By the time Cloud had arrived, the sun was just beginning to rise above the horizon casting the Shinra tower in the rays of morning light. He squinted his eyes as he looked up at the tower and could have sworn he saw broken windows. The blonde shrugged his shoulders and entered the oddly empty building, stepping over broken pieces of furniture and shreds of paper work. He leisure entered the elevator, ignoring the guards that were curled up against the walls in fear.
The elevator ride went without a synch but when he stepped out, that’s when Cloud truly became unnerved. The hallway of Shinra looked as though a rabid chocobo had run through the entire building or JENOVA had come back for revenge. He took one step after the other, craning his head to the side and listening for any sign or sound of movement and felt the hair’s on the back of his neck stand on end as he heard nothing.
“Hell-oomp!” The blonde grunted as he landed on his back. A very terrified brunette clinging to him so tightly Cloud could already feel the dizzying lack of oxygen.
“Cloud? CLOUD!” Tifa all but shrieked as she clung to the poor blonde. She gazed up at him with wide frightened eyes. “I was so scared, I thought you wouldn’t come!”
Cloud managed to pull himself away from Tifa and held both of her hands at bay to keep her from attempting another cling attack. “Tifa, what happened?”
Tifa was about to respond when the sound of heavy footsteps entered the air and she hastily dragged the blonde with her into an empty office, the two keeping silent as the footsteps passed. Tifa looked over at Cloud and Cloud looked over at Tifa, a fine eyebrow raised. ‘What happened?’ he mouthed, keeping low and straining his ears for the sound of whoever had passed them.
She chewed on her bottom lip and leaned over Cloud, her full breasts pressing against the blonde’s chest. “I’m not sure,” she whispered into his ear, her breath sending shivers down Cloud’s spine. “All I know is that Sephiroth woke up and then and then…” Tifa pulled away, eyes going wide as she looked Cloud up and down before jerking herself away and standing up. “Is it true?”
Cloud blinked at the sudden change in mode and looked up at her. Why should one fight for what they wanted as a child only to discover it was never there? He nodded his head, fighting the urge to crawl into the floor as she stared down at him. The two stayed like that, almost as if they were statues stuck in time before Tifa stepped away and walked into the hallway.
“SEPHIROTH! VINCENT!” she yelled at the top of her lungs. Cloud hurriedly got to his feet, trying to grab her. “HE’S OVER HERE!”
Silence.
Tifa turned towards him and smiled sheepishly. “Sorry Cloud, there was no we could leave these two along in an office building full of dangerous things. If we did,” Tifa winked. “We could be dealing with a situation that could kill everyone.” And with that, Tifa turned and ran towards the elevator.
Cloud felt his mouth go dry, feeling as though he was bait for two monstrous creatures that hadn’t been fed it days. In a twisted sort of way, he was. His hands went to cover his stomach, protecting the small creature he was sure was residing somewhere safe inside of him and closed his eyes. Awaiting his doom.
He waited and waited. And waited some more. But one General and Vampire never appeared. Cloud opened his eyes, peeking around the hallway before groaning and wandered off to find what remained of his boyfriend and comrade.
Sometimes it didn’t pay to get out of bed.
He finally found someone, not the love of his life but a comrade and dear friend all the same. "Hello Vince,” he said, sliding down next to the paranoid sniper who was currently reloading an ammunition cartridge.
“How come you never told us Sephiroth could summon that damn sword at will?”
Cloud paused at that. He hadn’t expected that question but shrugged all the same. “I’m not sure. He always carried it around with him. Never thought of asking him about it. Why?” the blonde asked, tilting his head to the side as he watched Vincent skillfully reload the weapon with one hand. He blinked at the glowing ammo. “Are those the mako bullets you’ve been creating?”
Vincent finally finished loading the cartridge and slammed it shut against the floor, tilting his head to the side before turning towards Cloud. Wordlessly he raised his golden claw. “This is why.” The claw appeared to be dented in several places and looked as though a laser cutter had attempted to slice it in half. “And you second question?” Vincent ducked as a ball of flames passed over head before raising his gun in response and shooting back at the flamer. “Yes, these are the mako bullets.”
The blonde blinked and watched as the flame quickly engulfed a nearby table before disappearing into ashes. Licking his lips, he turned once more to find Vincent starring at him and shrugged his shoulders sheepishly. “The glow’s romantic.”
The vampire rolled his eyes and quickly rolled away from the wall the two were leaning against as a huge burst of thunder crashed where the brunette had just been sitting. Both Cloud and Vincent blinked as a tiny moogle riding a chocobo ran through the sizzling hole and ran off down the hallway.
Cloud’s eye twitched. If there was anything he loved more in life, beside his sword, Sephiroth, it was the child nestled within him and his chocobo summon. Nobody, but nobody fucked his summons!
Moving to a squatting position, Cloud quickly dived through the slightly smoldering hole and jumped behind the desk where Sephiroth was currently hiding and proceeded to pounce on the silver haired god. “Where did you get my summons?” He asked, glaring down at his lover. His shirtless lover. Cloud quirked an eyebrow. “Where’s your clothing?”
Sephiroth groaned and attempted to push the blonde off of his chest and ended up glaring at him. “Firstly, I found that summon in that gun of yours.” he hissed, rolling the blonde beneath him. “Secondly,” he growled, lowering his face to an inch above Clouds. “Your pet ex-Turk pretty much shredded all of my clothing with that claw of his and that’s why I’m missing most of my clothing.” Sephiroth finished, lowering his mouth to possessively kiss the frowning blonde.
Cloud groaned and pushed the silver haired man off of him and slowly stood up. “Vince!” He yelled, ignoring the sudden tugging of his belt or the way Sephiroth was attempting to drag him down again. “Stop the fighting, You can’t kill him.” Cloud stepped away from the glaring god and walked over to the hole. Peeking through, he was met with a pair of brilliant ruby red eyes. “Regardless of how much you want to.”
Sephiroth silently crept behind Cloud, his eyes making contact with Vincent’s and slowly moved to bite the blonde’s neck. He stopped, staring at a red bite mark on the blonde’s neck and dragged the blonde away from the hole, ignoring the yelping sound he got in response and pulled the him to his feet, Vincent following in tow. “Where did you get that bite mark?”
Cloud’s eyes went wide and nearly fainted as Vincent appeared behind him, studying the mark with interest. “Umm, ummmm…” he attempted to pull away from Sephiroth’s grip and looked between the two with rising panic.
Vincent was just about to say something when the sound of approaching footsteps made the three turn and watch as Nanaki slowly approached them. If it weren’t for the fact that patches of fur were missing from the red lion or the fact that Reeve was hiding behind Cid who seemed to be attempting to hide behind Nanaki, Cloud would say it was an interesting day.
“Everything alright, gentlemen?”
Sephiroth and Vincent exchanged glances before looking down at Cloud or rather at the bite mark on Cloud’s neck and silently shook hands.
Everyone stared as the two shook hands.
“Oh god,” Reeve moaned, hiding his face in his hands.
“Shiiiiiiiit!” Cid hissed, trying to back away and bumping into Reeve.
Nanaki turned his head to the side, watching curiously, as an unspoken agreement seemed to pass between the two. Things could get interesting.
Cloud watched their hands shake and already felt the urge to run. Run far. Maybe head to Cosmo Canyon as Aeris had suggested and hide out there until he died.
General and Turk released their hands. Vincent nodded his head before backing away from the blonde and walking over to Reeve and handing him the gun he was holding. “The bullets seem to work fine. Just make sure nobody’s directly in point blank range or it’ll hit the user as well.” With that Vincent walked down the hall and into the elevator.
Reeve blinked at the gun he was holding and carefully set it into safe mode before looking around the hall and destruction that had taken place. “Um… yes.” He cleared his throat, nodding towards Sephiroth and Cloud. “We’ll discuss Sephiroth’s resurrection and your, ah,” he tried not to be afraid of the glare Cloud sent his way, “pregnancy later. Maybe tomorrow.” And with that, he shakily turned and left, heading for the upper floors.
Nanaki and Cid exchanged knowing looks and started backing up. “Aw shit,” Cid started, eyeing the two soldiers with worry. “Well, see you later.” Both lion and pilot quickly turned and fled for the stairs.
Cloud and Sephiroth stood alone in the destroyed hallway, blinking at the sudden departure of everyone. The blonde turned to look up at his older love and raised a fine golden brow. “So, how many people did you kill this time?”
Sephiroth looked down at his companion and frowned. “Nobody really, I was aiming for the blood sucker to tell you the truth.” He moved suddenly, grabbing Cloud’s wrists and pinning him against the wall. “Now let me ask you, who the fuck grabbed your wrists?”
Cloud struggled and glared up into Sephiroth’s eyes. “Nobody.” He hissed and jerked away from the silver haired man, walking towards the elevator. “C’mon,” he called over his shoulder, watching his lover. “Let’s go home.”
