Opening my eyes, all I saw was sand. Sand everyone. I groaned, knowing exactly where I was. But where is everyone else? I searched frantically. "Why did Sin bring us to Bikanel?" Shaking my hand, I got up dusting the dirt off me. Figuring I might as well go back to Home and see Father.
"I sure hope everyone is all right." I began making my way Home. After walking for a few moments, she saw Brother. "Brother!" He stopped and turned, "Rikku? Fryd yna oui tuehk rana?" She smirked, it was nice to hear her native language. "Ceh pnuikrd sa yht so vneahtc rana. Huf E's muugehk vun Yuna, ryja oui caah ran?" He shook his head, "Hu, pid drana ec y cduns lusehk cu veht cramdan!" She nodded, saying thanks and continued on her way. Brother ran off with a few of his friends, probably looking for parts or something.
I walked a few more miles before stopping to take a break. I turned and saw Lulu, Tidus, Auron and Kimhari making their way towards me. My heart sank a little when I saw that Yuna wasn't with them. Lulu wasn't really upset.
"Well, everyone, this is Bikanel Island. The Al Bhed Home is near here. I'm sure Yunie is there!" Rikku ignored the glare that Wakka was giving her. He could just shove it. "Guys we'll go to Home, but you have to promise that you won't tell anyone about the island. No one can find out."
We began making our way there. The wind was picking up so it was taking a bit longer to get there. Suddenly we were surrounded by machina. "Everyone, stay back. I can disable them. Auron, cover me!" I ran up to them and began taking them apart, Auron covering my back. Within a minute they were lying in pieces. I smiled, knowing everyone was impressed. We continued on our way.
"It's right over this hill everyone!" I smiled cheerily, happy to see my home.
However, once I reached the top of the hill, my heart began to race and I screamed. I saw the someone attacking my Home. We rushed in. There were fiends everywhere, bodies, blood. I wiped the tears from my eyes as I ran. This couldn't be happening.
I saw my best friend Keyakku fall to the ground. I rushed over to him. His last words were... Yevon... and Guado.. He died while I held he is hand. Auron came near me, placing his strong hand on my shoulder. Lulu was confused, "A war between Yevon and the Al Bhed." Before I could answer, I heard someone yell, "That is wrong!" I turned to see my father walking towards us. "They are here for the Summoner." He knelt down near Keyakku and mumbled the short citation, ensuring he'd reach the afterlife.
He stood and turned, staring at me. Before I knew what I was doing, I ran to him and he wrapped me in his arms. "I missed you," I whispered. He nodded, unable to express what he was feeling. Pushing me away he turned to my friends shouting for us to join the battle. He ran off.
Tidus looked to me, "Who is that?"
"Cid. The leader of the Al Bhed, he's my dad." We ran off toward the battle, we had to save Yunie and my home. As we ran, Tidus yelled to me, "So you're like a princess?" I giggled, "I suppose, don't call me that though!" From the corner of my eye I saw Auron smirk.
Running through Home, my hear broke. The place that I grew up in, was gone. It was in shambles, destroyed. Suddenly I heard my father over the intercom saying he was going to level Home. I shook my head, telling the others we had to hurry!
Running toward the Summoner's Sanctum I killed Gaudo after Gaudo. How dare they do this to my home, my family. I made sure they all suffered. Auron stayed by my side. We didn't speak, but his prescence was soothing. "This was our Home, we built it out of nothing, and then they destroy it. Seymour will pay for this." She started crying into Auron's chest, and he held her close.
We were almost there when I heard Lulu ask what the Sanctum was. I took a deep breath, knowing everyone would be mad. "The Summoners' Sanctum is where we keep the summoners. We keep them safe there." I closed my eyes, waiting for the anger. Wakka clamed stated that I was the one kidnapping the summoners. I nodded, not wanting to deny it. Auron wasn't suprised. He knew it was me.
Tidus stepped foward, saying he was confused. I had been dreading this moment, we all had. No one wanted to be the one to break the news to him. But I suppose it's time. No one answered him just yet. We continued onward. The awkward silence was killing me. Hopefully Yunie was safe.
I pushed opened the door, yelling for Yuna. The tears started falling from my face once I saw the dead everywhere. Yuna wasn't here. Tidus was furious at me for interfering with Summoner's.
"The Pilgramages have to stop!" I shouted. Everyone turned to look at me. "If they don't, and they get to Zanarkand.. They might defeat Sin. Yunie could, but then she.." I started crying. "Yunie will die, you know?" The look on Tidus' face was enough to make me cry even more. "If she calls the Final Aeon, she can destroy Sin, but it will kill her too. And that's something that I can't let happen."
Tidus was so upset. I didn't know what to say. I lead everyone toward the airship running towards my father. We got on board, but Tidus lost it, and started attacking my father. Me and Auron both went to run forward, but Tidus stopped. Dad took Tidus and flipped him over. I smirked. Father could really kick ass if he wanted to. Tidus promised to keep Yuna alive. I would help him, not matter the cost.
We prepared to take off, and I held onto Auron's arm. I was a bit nervous for my first flight. I knew it would run. I had worked on this baby for months with Brother. "Risk big, win big!" Brother smiled as he took off. I jumped around, "Brother, I can't believe we had gotten it to work! It flies!" Father reminded us what to do.
We started singing the Hymn. We knew what we needed to do. "We're blowing up our home." We took off, the explosion behind us. Brother started crying, and I did too. But father turned to us, telling us there was no need for tears. "What is good about machina is they can be built anew, you see? Our home isn't gone for good." I nodded, agreeing.
Walking away Wakka came up to be a made a comment about festival fireworks, I told him to shove it.
I started walking to my room, before realzing I was being followed. I turned and saw Auron.
I ran up to him, crying into him as he held me. "I'm sorry Rikku." I simply nodded. He knew what it was like to lose your home. Cupping my face in his hands, he wiped my tears away. "Go get some rest." I nodded, knewing that I needed it. Before he realized what I was doing, I leaned forward, kissing him firmly on the lips before turning and walking away.
I needed sleep, badly.

Translation:
What are you doing here?
Sin brought me and my friends here. Now I'm looking for Yuna, have you seen her?
No, but there is a storm coming so find shelter!
