Poisoned Isolation: Epilogue
Vincent silently watched Cid from the living room window. It still tore at his heart to watch his lover struggle with everyday things. Cid now had to walk with a cane and his hands shook so bad that sometimes he could not fly his airships. The gunner could remember all the times Cid had dropped something or came up against something he could not do. Most only resulted in anger but there were a few that resulted in tears. Last night had been one of those times. As they made love Vincent realized Cid was crying and was afraid that he had hurt his lover.
“Cid. I’m sorry. Did I hurt you?” The aviator was quick to cover his face with a pillow and Vincent was just able to hear the muffled no. Lithe arms made their way around a tanned waist.
“What is wrong? Talk to me.” He whispered and the blonde removed his shield.
“I cannot return this. Its not possible.” Fear struck Vincent’s heart as his first thought was that Cid was telling him that he didn’t want to be with him.
“So you don’t want to be with me anymore?” He asked and azure eyes filled with confusion.
“No. I love you more than life itself. Vincent you would have giving your life to protect me and I will always love you.” Vincent place a kiss on the pilot’s forehead.
“Why are you upset. What can I do to help you.” Cid blinked finally in understanding.
“Vincent. I’ve loved you for so long. I cannot possibly return the pleasure you are giving me. My body will not allow it. I hate it. I hate that I can’t give you the pleasure that you give me.” Vincent smiled and kissed Cid deeply.
“You are everything I need. Let me lavish you with pleasure. It makes me happy to see you happy.” That was the end of their conversation but Vincent was sure they would have more.
As Cid opened the door he spotted Vincent looking out the window deep in thought. Quietly he closed the door and approached his lover.
“Vin are you alright?” He asked and ebony hair flew as he turned to face Cid. The blonde had grown his hair out to shoulder length. Mainly so that it covered the left side of his face. It had scared terribly.
“I’m fine.” he whispered in Cid’s ear as he had already made it across the room to his lover. Blonde hair fell onto the tall man’s shoulder as Cid leaned into the embrace his arms wrapping tightly around Vincent’s waist.
“Cid?” He asked because the pilot was holding him with need.
“I have lived in hell for months and then you came and showed me heaven. I love you my angel.” Tears began to well up and Vincent squeezed his lover tightly.
“I love you too, my beloved.”
