It Couldn't Be True
Gossip
Seifer looked up to the sun that was blaring down on him from the highest point in the
sky and reached a hand up to wipe away the sweat that was perspiring on his forehead.
He finally got done with all the houses and they did go off smoothly, though it would
have been a little better if Squall were there to help him out.
The blonde walked back to the trucks, where the SeeD group set up a small camp and
went inside to compose the report and be off to see if Squall was alright. He knew it would take
more than that to hurt Leonhart but still, he was a little worried. That bump and all the blood did
look bad...
"Hey, Almasy!" He turned around from the table and looked to see a shorter man, about
Zell's height and spiky, red hair approaching him. He raised a brow, questioning who this guy
was and what the hell did he want. He didn't have time for distractions now.
"What is it?"
"I heard Dagen doesn't like you." Seifer rolled his eyes and turned around.
"Well, I see you 'ladies' are keeping up with your gossip." Seifer went back to work,
trying to hurry.
"Hmph! Well, I just thought that I would let you know about Leonhart. Heard Dagen
talking 'bout him."
"Well if he isn't dead, I don't want to hear about it."
It seemed though the guy did not get the hint to leave him alone.
"Well, I just want to warn you before anything gets outta hand. I don't wanna be one of
those people you go and pick on because you're gonna be pissed." Seifer dropped his pen and
turned around. He leaned back in his chair and smirked.
"So you're telling me that you think that if you tell me whatever this is, it's going to get
me upset and I'm going to beat up on everyone else except you, because you were the one that
supplied me with this wonderful information?"
The red-head smirked and nodded his head.
"Yeah, so you're not gonna right?" Seifer eyed the man and rocked in his chair.
"Shit, you intrigued me! Go on and tell me and I won't pick on you."
"Well, I heard that Squall was okay and was ready to get out of the hospital from Dagen.
The Commander was talking to some guy on his cell, saying all kinds of stuff about Leonhart and
what he said. Supposedly Leonhart and Dagen were having a pretty animated conversation."
Seifer looked at him, bored.
"Do I fucking care that Leonhart is being a suck up? ...Well, it should be the other way
around, because that asshole has an attraction for Squally..." But that did bother him a great deal.
"Yeah, well. I heard that Squall pitied you." Seifer's eyes darted up into dark-brown, his
features clearly showed the frown that appeared in less than a second. "Dagen is going to go to
the headmaster and tell him that Squall said you fucked him up bad, that you are not worth
trusting and you should be taken off of SeeD. Leonhart feels sorry that you're not going to be
with us anymore and that you don't have anywhere to go, but he still doesn't want you here and-"
"WHAT THE FUCK?" Seifer jumped to his feet and glared into the other's startled eyes.
"Shit, you said-"
"What's your name?"
"Baker. Todd Baker."
"What else did you hear?"
