Chapter 8
Seifer listened in rapt fascination to Squall and the rest of his friends as they filled him in on all the stuff he had missed since he was dead (or rather, in a coma).
He resisted the urge to shudder when he was told that Selphie and Zell were together - not because he had anything against either of them but rather because he couldn't help but imagine the children that they would have - he could just see these little balls of sunshine running around alternately glomping people then suddenly threatening to beat the crap out of them!!
He was less surprised about Squall and Irvine. Irvine had never actually bothered to hide his sexuality and as for Squall, he had never shown any inclination towards any female - not even towards the deliciously hot woman at his side.
At the thought of Quistis, he looked at her and smiled and then reached across and squeezed her hand, whispering just loud enough that only she could hear him, "Did I mention that I missed you like crazy, Instructor? I love you, Quistis!" He smiled even more when she told him that she loved him too.
Damn, it was good to be back!

Quistis sat and thought about the implications of Seifer being back with them. Did this mean that he was going to be a messenger for all the crap coming or was all that just a bad dream?
She supposed that it must be still true. After all, Hyne would hardly have sent him back JUST to secure her life and her sanity, would he? No, there must be a bigger picture.
The question was, if Seifer was going to receive visions the way that she was supposed to have, how were they going to explain that to everyone when the time came?
They could hardly say something like, "Oh by the way, I just saw impending death for all of us if we do this, but it's okay. Listen to what I have to say and we'll be okay, because you see, Seifer wasn't really in a coma, ha ha! No, he WAS actually dead. He's been sent back as an angel from Hyne to help us...."
Right! Yeah, that'd work...!
