Chapter Nine
Raijin and Fuijin grunted as they loaded the small fishing boat they borrowed from a friend. "We have to hurry before the sun comes up any more." Fuijin said and they finished putting the boxes below the deck. "Okay, lets go to Fisherman's Horizon." She said and Raijin paused.
"Won't people realize we're gon ya know?" Raijin asked. "I took care of that already. I sent a note to Cid, telling him we're going fishing. That's why I borrowed a fishing boat." She said. "Oh. It won't raise that many suspicions ya know." He said, getting the idea and Fuijin nodded. "Exactly. I even borrowed some fishing supplies, we might as well fish while we're out." She said.
They climbed into the boat and after starting it, Fuijin took off towards Fisherman's Horizon. "Do you think...they'll know we're not telling the complete truth ya know?" He questioned. "I don't know. We'll just have to hope they don't. Now shut up, I need some peace." She said and Raijin backed away.
'I wonder what Seifer really did to Squall ya know? If it was just a simple beating, not so many people would be out for him ya know. I know Seifer liked him, wanted his ass ya know. Maybe he...nah Seifer wouldn't force Squall ya know. Would he?' Raijin thought with a frown. 'Hyne! Maybe he did ya know. That would explain everything that's been going on ya know.' He sighed and sat in a chair.
"I don't think Seifer just hit Squall ya know. I think he let his attraction get out of control and...just took him ya know." Raijin said. "I know. I figured that as well, but rapist or not Seifer is still our friend." Fuijin said.
"Yeah, I know he is ya know. Still even Squall didn't need that ya know." He said and Fuijin nodded. "I don't think it was planned Raijin. I think it was just out of the heat of battle so to speak." She said. "Yeah. Well there's Fisherman's Horizon already ya know." He said. "Soon we will see Seifer and get some answers hopefully." Fuijin said and docked the boat.
Back at Garden Irvine and Zell groaned as their heads throbbed. The Cowboy somehow managed to get them to his room before passing out again. "Damn. Remind me never to go overboard like that again." Irvine said, sitting up. They were both on his couch and Zell managed to get to a sitting posistion as well.
"Yeah, same for me." Zell moaned. "How did we get to your place?" He asked, glancing around. "Oh. I kind of remember Selphie kicking us out of Squall's.'' Irvine said. "Man, I'm getting us both some aspirin or something. My head feels like someone cracked it with a hammer." He groaned, standing up and getting the pain killers. He came back and gave Zell a few with a glass of water.
In Squall's room Selphie was awake and Squall moaned in his bedroom. 'What the hell!?' He thought and remembered last night. He was drinking with Irvine and Zell, then they passed out. Selphie helped him into bed and then he went to sleep again. 'I remember now.' He thought.
Selphie poked her head in and smiled, seeing him awake. "Oh, I see you're up. How about I make us breakfast?" She asked and he groaned. "I don't know." He said and Selphie walked in, giving him a Remedy. "Here. This works better than anything for hangovers." She said and Squall took the vial, drinking it.
"Better?" She asked. "Yes. Thank you." Squall said with a nod. "I guess I would like breakfast." He said. "Okay, let me quickly change my cloths." She said. "Okay. I need to take a shower anyways." Squall said and got up. Selphie left, locking the door and Squall entered his bathroom. 'I still feel tired.' He thought and started his shower.
In Fisherman's Horizon, Fuijin and Raijin got the remaining items and put packages in the boat. "Is this going to be enough ya know?" Raijin asked. "It will for a little bit, but it's not going to last forever." Fuijin said. "We just have to restock once in a while. I guess we'll have to go on 'fishing trips' often.'' She said. "Yeah. I just hope none of those nosey SeeD's come snooping around ya know." He said and Fuijin waved a hand at the idea.
"Don't worry. Like I said, we're on fishing trips. There's nothing illegal about that. We just like different places because there's more out there than just Balamb fish." Fuijin explained. "I hope they buy it ya know. Good thing we have poles ya know." He said. "Yes. Now come on, I'm ready to go." She said and they got on the boat, heading to the abandoned research lab.
