Chapter One: His Longing
The blonde man sighed heavily and
put his feet up on the control console of his ship. Sure, it may not be the Strahl, but it was better than nothing. He had been
overjoyed the day he and Penelo had entered the
hanger and to their surprise the esteemed ship of their old comrade had gone
missing. Any worry had been allayed rather quickly and the smug sounding note Balthier had left them often replayed itself in his mind,
just as proof that his thought dead mentor was still very much alive.
No one since Migelo
had ever put so much effort into him, even if it was effort under the pretense
of a self-serving motive. The so-called ‘leading man’ in their little escapade
to stop Vayne Solidor had
taught him a lot about ship maintenance and even given him an, albeit short,
lesson on flying ships. He had never felt more confident in himself than the
day Balthier had told him to take the controls and
get them out of the exploding husk of what was known as the Bahamut.
He had also never felt more dread
than when he realized he had just flown away and left the ever-calm man and his
loyal partner Fran trying to repair the broken battle-station that was
plummeting to the earth below.
He moved in his seat and heard a
groan of metal at the movement. The integrity of his ship, as important as that
may be to any sky pirate, was the last thing on the young man’s mind at the
moment.
He admired Balthier,
nearly thought of him as the father he never knew, but at the same time he
hated him. He had something that he had wanted since the day they had met…
The respect and
caring of Her Royal Highness Queen Ashelia B’nargan Dalmasca.
The admittedly dashing sky pirate
had wiggled his way into her life and he found himself less and less on the end
of moments he knew she would remember for the rest of her life. He knew the
moment he found out who she was that he didn’t have a chance, even less
of a chance when he found out who Balthier really had
been. He knew that it was a hopeless pipe dream, but he couldn’t stop himself
from hoping, even though he was only seventeen at the time. She herself was
only nineteen but she carried herself with the poise of a regent and a woman
bent on revenge.
He didn’t think he had ever seen
anything more beautiful to date, and he knew beautiful, he had walked
through the secret realm of the Viera after all.
As Vaan
dusted off the full length vest he had opted for instead of the old
short-length open vest he had once worn every day, he looked at his reflection
in the ship’s window in front of him. It had been two years since they had
finished their quest and Ashe was still the pinnacle of beauty in his eyes,
though he hardly ever saw her face-to-face anymore. Now the only glimpses of
the woman he longed for were short glances during royal announcements. The only
thing that kept him going was she had yet to choose a husband, even though he
knew he didn’t have a snowball’s chance in Belias’
fiery hands compared to Balthier or even Basch, who was still very much involved in his caretaking,
more like guardianship, as that was what it now was with his charge growing in
age, of Lord Larsa Solidor.
The years had been kind to him,
and being the male that he was, he thankfully hadn’t stopped growing after his
seventeenth year. He could now look some of the tallest Bangaa
dead in the eyes and towered over the children in the Lowtown
he supported to this day. He was a sky pirate, but he remembered his roots. He
made sure that they all had a decent meal at least twice a day and more than
just scraps of clothes on their backs.
He kept himself clean shaven
always, and his smooth skin seemed to appreciate that even though his jaw had
squared more, giving him a more masculine appearance than he had had. He had
let his hair grow out a little bit over the years, but had still maintained the
general style that he had two years ago. He couldn’t bring himself to change
too greatly, even though his body often didn’t give him a choice in the matter.
Eventually the old vest just had
to go because it reminded him too much of his adventures with the then title-less
Ashe by his side. He couldn’t change because he wanted her to still see him as
the harmless teen that had fought against incredible winds with a priceless
sword in his hands to try and stop the Sun-Cryst. He
wanted her to remember the young man that had seen her late husband in the nethecite and had tried to help her through it with his own
story of loss. He couldn’t stop from growing though, and that had changed him
enough in his mind.
He had went from every
butt-jockey’s wet dream as a friend had once so crudely put it, to every
woman’s fantasy with the spectacular rare smile to match.
Too bad I’m not her fantasy, Vaan thought sadly and went back to reminiscing.
He hadn’t known what the emotion
he had felt around her was at the time, he usually felt it only around Penelo, but now he knew what it was.
Maybe I knew it all along and
was just trying to fool myself, he continued off-handedly.
He loved her. It was more than
just physical longing, the lust that wanted him to sate his more carnal desires
with her beautiful body, it was love that wanted to comfort the hurting young
woman inside that shell and show her just how much she meant to him. He knew
more than anyone that she had lost a piece of her heart when her husband had
died, but he would die himself just to get the chance to show that broken heart
love again.
Another thing he knew was that Penelo also knew this. She too had grown, and into a very
comely woman, but his feelings for her had long since waned into the feelings
of a best friend and confidant, not the lover he knew she was looking for
whenever she looked into his eyes. He had seen her heart break that day she had
tried to kiss him and he had tenderly put his hands on her shoulders and gently
pushed her away. He could still feel the tears on his hand as she nuzzled it
affectionately and looked at him with those tear-brimmed eyes.
“You still love her, don’t
you?” She had said. She had known it all along; she had just wished it
wasn’t true.
He could only answer her
truthfully, she was his closest friend and his beloved partner as a sky pirate,
but she couldn’t fill the void Ashe had left so unknowingly in his life. “Yes.”
A few more tears had sprung up at
that, but the eyes their trails were attached to were gentle and understanding.
“You’ve been my friend for as long as I can remember, I think I knew you
were lost to me the moment I saw you with her. You looked at her differently
than how you looked at me…I—I just didn’t want to let you go.”
He remembered clear as day the
pain of his heart clenching up when she said those last words. He had thought
he had no family after Reks died, but right then he
knew that was what he had in Penelo. He had a sister.
She didn’t need to let him go.
“I’m not letting you go,” he
had told her. Before she made any assumptions he quickly finished that
statement. “You’re the sister I never had, the motivation of the better part
of my life, but…but I can’t love you the way you want me to.”
She had broken into fresh tears
at his words and had buried her head in his vest, but she nodded into the
fabric. It had made him feel immensely better that he had her blessing in pursuing
a woman other than her. He still felt a twang of guilt every now and then, but
he knew even if he had continued their relationship, he would have left
both of them unfulfilled. He couldn’t be what she wanted and she couldn’t be
what he wanted, simple as that.
Thankfully, it had strengthened
their friendship rather than break it apart. It had taken a while, but she had
slowly reverted back into his best friend and had stopped looking at him with
longing in her hazel eyes. She had even started dating again, and was with a
man who thankfully still held the almost lost concept of chivalry even though his
natural good looks had the possibility of making him very arrogant and
demanding. It had been with that in mind that he had pulled the man aside one
day and held the Sword of Kings solidly at the guy’s manhood while threatening
to cut it off if he ever lost that sense of chivalry and had the audacity to
hurt her.
He chuckled at the memory. Even
though the guy knew him he had nearly wet his pants.
It didn’t help him however, that
he could never get close enough to Ashe anymore to even tell her of his
feelings while Penelo was happy and pursuing her own.
It definitely didn’t help him when he was trying to sleep at night and Penelo and her boyfriend-turned-lover were being too loud
for his liking. He had spent many frustrated nights sleeping in his ship when
that occurred.
Taking the edge off himself had
no appeal in his mind, it only left him feeling depressed and lonely after the
initial euphoria had passed and his imaginary lover, the one that was always
the same, disappeared back into his memories. It was on nights like that that
he found himself crying himself to sleep, where even his dreams were assaulted
with fond memories of the woman forever out of his reach. His world seemed to
revolve around her, and only the odd courier job or random flight could take
his mind off of her for more than five minutes.
He was living at odds with
himself, denying himself what he really wanted.
It couldn’t be that hard to
get an audience with the queen, especially if I tell them who I am. What’s
stopping me?
Fear. Plain and simple fear. Fear he wouldn’t add up, fear he
would be rejected, fear he wouldn’t be able to heal
her heart even though it was what every fiber of his being wanted to do. If he
couldn’t heal her even though he was wholeheartedly in it, than that would mean
he would be no good to her. What he wanted most was to be what she needed, but
then another reason always slapped him in the face. She was royalty, blood of
the Dynast King himself, and he…he was a peasant.
As selfish as it may sound, he
wanted her heart. Not the shattered remnant it had become after Rasler’s death, but her heart full and filled with life and
affection.
He wanted to give her that, but
he also wanted it for himself when he accomplished that.
Gods, am I selfish or what?
He was knocked out of his
depressing reverie when a light tap on the door to the cockpit caught his
attention. Groaning, he got up straightened the long vest hanging open on his
chest while walking the short distance to the door where it opened with a soft swish.
His eyes took a while to adjust to the light of the separate corridor but soon
his deep brown eyes found what they were looking for.
“Oh, hey Penelo. What’s up?” he asked through a yawn. Penelo sighed and put her hands on her hips while looking
at him in frustration.
“Obviously not
your mood or motivation. Vaan this has to end,
you’re killing yourself!”
Vaan
sighed. “Give it a rest Penelo, I’m the same as I was yesterday.” A growing edge of
annoyance was making itself known in his voice.
“And the same before that, and
the same before that,” Penelo finished for him in
exaggerated tones. “Vaan, tell her how you feel!”
“I can’t dammit!”
he growled. Lately their conversations seemed to revolve around his love life
and he hated it, it just reminded him of what he couldn’t have. “I was nothing
but a boy to her when we fought together two years ago! I had only had a small
glimpse of love before she came into my life but she had already been married!
She had already had her love smashed into little pieces!” His voice fell and
took on a much quieter tone. “What would she think if the harmless boy she knew
those years ago proclaimed his love for her and ruined what little good
memories of him she had?”
Penelo’s
eyes lost their hardness and she hugged his larger frame comfortingly. “Vaan, if you never say anything you’ll never know. I’ve
seen you change Vaan, and believe me it’s been for
the better. Take a chance. She liked you enough back then to give you that.”
She would have nodded over to where she had seen the Sword of Kings resting
idly against the wall along with his other prized weapons, and the only ones he
ever took anywhere, but his chest prevented her from doing that. There was the
Sword of Kings Ashe had given him before she had became queen, the Zodiac Spear
Balthier had entrusted to him before he had left for
the Bahamut, and the Artemis Bow complete with a full
set of matching arrows Fran had given to him before she followed Balthier. She heard a shuddered breath come from the young
man she was holding and knew that she had at least gotten through to him a
little bit.
“By the way, we have a new
client,” she said as passively as she could so she wouldn’t break into giggles
at what she was going to say next while releasing him from her hold.
“Oh?” Vaan’s
voice perked up. “Who is it and what do they want?”
Penelo
swallowed the smile that wanted to break out onto her face as she unfolded the
piece of paper placed so elegantly into the bindings of her breasts, enjoying
the light blush on Vaan’s face as she pulled it out.
In a mockingly commanding voice she pushed out her chest and read
exaggeratedly, “Her Royal Highness Queen Ashelia Dalmasca hereby requests the assistance of the sky pirate Vaan Ratsbane in the task of
transporting the Lady Ashe to the sacred kingdom of Rozarria.
Due to the nature of this matter we request only the one pilot and for this
matter to be held in the strictest of secrecy. With respect, the secretary to
the Queen: Rebecca Lordor.” She watched as the blood
drained from the bronze-skinned man’s face until it became a pale white.
“Are you screwing with me Penelo?”
She couldn’t help but laugh at
his unknowing words. “If I was then I definitely wouldn’t be giving you this
letter, writ with the royal seal may I add, to you now would I?” She joked
while swinging her hips in a teasing way. “We both know you’re the only one
that can fly any of the ships we have ever had and this one’s no different.
Half the time I’m there for moral support and that’s all anyways, not like
these things break down with the condition you keep them in.”
Vaan
swallowed the mountain that seemed to have placed itself in his throat. “I
guess seeing her won’t be much of a problem anymore
now will it?” He said while trying to keep from breaking down in front of his
best friend. Gods how I’ve dreamed of this happening and when it does I can
barely seem to keep down my lunch.
“You worry too much Vaan, just do what you do best and everything’ll
be fine!”
He could
only hope she was right.
Chapter Two: Her Decision
Queen Ashelia
Dalmasca, or Ashe as she was called by what she had
come to recognize as friends from two years ago, was bored out of her mind. Not
only that, she was worried.
What in the Esper’s cursed names possessed me to call up Vaan after all this time?
Even now, the answer eluded her.
Once she had thought she had a fix on the reason, but now she wasn’t so sure.
She had ship after ship that could fly her to Rozarria
with little to no problems but his name had come to mind at the strangest time.
To her surprise she found out that he had become a sky pirate of some pretty
high renown and was known to make Rabanastre his port
of origin while keeping the orphans in Lowtown cared
for.
Could that really by the Vaan I know? She thought to herself. It certainly didn’t
seem like it.
For some strange reason she found
herself regretting the choice of pilot for this particular run. It wasn’t
everyday that Queen Ashe went to Rozarria to ask the
now-prince Al-Cid Margrace to marry her to strengthen
the bond between their two countries. If there was anything she knew: it was
that independence was best held through power. A marriage to one of the royal
line of Rozarria seemed like the perfect way to do
that.
At first, she had tried to be the
only singular queen Dalmasca had ever heard of, but
loneliness kicked in after a while, as did the need for more allies for her
struggling country. She knew Al-Cid could never replace Rasler,
she could never expect him to. It was going to be a marriage of convenience,
nothing more. She hated doing this to Rasler’s
memory, but the politicians kept pushing and pushing her to get a husband, and
she could think of no one better at the time than Al-Cid. Balthier
had come to mind but she knew for a fact that he was off somewhere with Fran, most
likely screwing like rabbits. Pun intended. His giving her back Rasler’s ring confirmed that much.
So here she was,
dressed in the same outfit she wore two years ago to make herself less
conspicuous, waiting for Vaan to take her to where
his ship was in the Aerodrome. She sat as quietly as she could on one of the
rounded benches looking out to the blue skies to draw as little attention to herself as she could, when suddenly a deep voice thick with
familiarity cut through her thoughts.
“Now there’s a sight for sore
eyes. Long time no see.” She jumped on impulse with a hand on the common blade
at her side. The blade she usually used, the Treaty-Blade, was in her bag, as
it would draw way too much attention. It was rather hard to hide.
She looked over to try and see
who could possibly recognize her, let alone have that kind of voice, one marked
with the typical Rabanastran accent, only to find a
bronze-skinned man with long, pale-blonde hair looking at her with maybe the
deepest set of brown eyes she had ever seen. It was only until her eyes fell
upon the sword strapped at his side, where one of his hands was resting, after
looking over his lean, muscled frame, did she place who the man was in front of
her.
The Sword of Kings,
there was no mistaking it.
“Vaan?” She asked in her accent borne of nobility. It
couldn’t be….
“Like I said Ashe, long time no
see.” Vaan was trying desperately to keep his knees
from giving out on him and simply falling at her feet while confessing his love
for her. After all this time, he was finally in front of her. He had finally
shed the body of the boy he was before and had grown into a man he hoped she
could love.
This is Vaan?
It still didn’t seem to be computing in her mind. She hadn’t seen the man he
would grow into when they had traveled together those two years ago, she had only seen the stubborn boy of the then-present
gradually grow into a better person in mind but not in body. It seemed like his
body had finally caught up with his mind. Dear sacred Ultima
how it has caught up, she thought approvingly.
Vaan
walked down to where she was still standing, seemingly petrified, and pulled
all his confidence into the act of tenderly brushing away a stray strand of white-blonde
hair that had fallen over Ashe’s face. Her milky skin was softer than he had
ever dreamed of and the feeling made a part of his lower posterior jump, but he
held it in check with every drop of his willpower. Walking with a hard-on was
pretty difficult to conceal, especially with his kind of pants.
Ashe froze at the contact. His
skin was so warm, so like the touch she knew from Rasler.
It was soft, and his hands were surprisingly un-calloused for all the work she
knew he must do on his ship. The touch was gentle, almost reverent, and it
spoke volumes. She felt she sudden urge to nuzzle the hand and keep the contact
between them but beat it back, she knew what she had to do and she was going to
do it.
“How’ve you been?” His voice was
scarcely above a whisper and he was surprised it didn’t crack like it usually
did when he was nervous.
“Dalmasca
still needs a queen, and I am still fulfilling that role,” she answered simply
while trying to brush the feel of his hand from her mind.
“You’ve been doing a great job.
It’s been easier than ever to keep the kids of Lowtown
fed with you getting more and more of them into proper homes.”
Ashe had to resist the urge to do
a double-take. Did Vaan just say what I thought he
said? So the rumors were true? Not only that, but in order to know that
he would have had to keep up with the news…Vaan never
kept up with the news, he was always so impulsive. Could he have really changed
that much in two years?
“How are things going with you
and Penelo?” She asked, instead of voicing her
thoughts.
“She’s still my partner, gotta love her for that. She’s dating a pretty nice guy now
and I hope they go far together,” Vaan said non-chalantly as he pillowed his hands behind his head like he
used to.
This time Ashe did do a
double-take. “I thought you and her were courting, why would
she be dating another man?” she asked with surprise evident in her
voice.
“Me and Penelo? Naw, we go way too
far back to do that,” he answered jokingly. That…and I can’t stop thinking
about you.
“Alright then, I won’t press the
matter. Shouldn’t we be going?”
“Oh, right! Follow me!”
With that, they walked down the
hidden corridors of the Aerodrome to where a silver ship stood proudly. While
almost identical to the Strahl, it was even
more streamlined and looked like it had much more room than their old friend’s
ship.
“Impressive Vaan,
I have to say I didn’t expect this,” Ashe said in wonder. The ship easily
outdid many of her royal shuttles and decimated most of her military ships. It
had both shape and firepower and she started admiring Vaan
more than she had before, it was a strange feeling. She had had feelings close
to these two years ago, but she knew acting on them would be taboo to someone
of her lineage. Wait! Now I’m queen. I make the rules and
taboos now! What’s stopping me?
Fear, unknowingly just like Vaan’s. She was afraid of what would happen to her country,
afraid of what would happen to her heart if she put it out on the line again. Moreover,
and most surprising, she found herself afraid of how Vaan’s
opinion of her would change if she took that step into the deep end.
When they were safely in the ship
and Vaan had given her an extensive tour, which had
increased her admiration of his changes over the past two years even more, they
stepped into the cockpit and Vaan sat down on his
pilot’s chair and swiveled it around to look at her. He was as relaxed as ever
on the outside but inside he might as well have been a Flan, with the way his
stomach was acting anyway.
“So what’s this trip for
anyways?” He asked calmly. “It’s not often the people of Dalmasca
get to see their queen in person anymore. Why the sudden trip to Rozarria?”
Ashe bit the inside of her cheek,
unsure of whether to tell him or not. Feelings long thought dead were rising to
the surface and they were only amplified by the soft memories of their time
together two years ago as well as the gentle caress of a mere hour ago. She
decided she wouldn’t hide it and might as well gauge his reaction, he was
a genuine born and bred Rabanstran after all, if he
took it bad then other citizens might too.
Letting loose a low sigh, she
gathered her wits and said, “I’m going to Rozarria to
strengthen the bonds between our two countries by asking Al-Cid to consider
joining to me in marriage.”
All of the sudden it was as if Vaan had lost all color and the soft look in his eyes that
had been there moments before shattered into the look of a man who had lost all
hope.
He would not cry. He would not
cry. This was her decision, it was her life. She could do with it what she
wanted.
Ashe was genuinely puzzled by his
reaction. If she had expected anything, this definitely wouldn’t have
been it. Vaan’s head was bowed, his body was almost
in tremors, and his hands, which still bore the gauntlets of his old outfit,
were in the same convulsions.
All in all, he looked terrified.
“Vaan,
what’s wrong?” Either he didn’t hear her or he chose
not to answer, she didn’t know which one she would rather believe. Finally,
after too long, he spoke again.
“Would…would y-you be h-happy?”
Strange, she thought, it
almost sounds like he’s…oh my. She bent down to look at his face and saw
his incredible brown eyes were fighting to hold tears within their boundaries
and his heart was in those desperate orbs. It was then she knew that he meant
it, and with that, also what it meant.
He had meant that question with
all of his heart. If she was happy, then he wouldn’t object. But if there was
the slightest hope that he had a chance, he had decided he wouldn’t hesitate to
take it. He had to tell her how he felt even if he had only the smallest of
chances.
He was being completely honest
with her, and it broke her heart to see what was happening to him. So she
decided to be completely frank with him too. “No, no I wouldn’t be happy.” She
would have continued the sentence to say what it would mean for Dalmasca… but she never got the chance.
As if waiting for that answer his
arms had slipped around her shoulders like coiled springs and pulled her
surprised face forward into what was arguably the most intense kiss she had
ever experienced in her life. Not even anything by Rasler
compared to what was conveyed in this seemingly simple expression.
She felt loss multiplied by time,
despair added upon want. She felt like she was drowning in the pool of emotions
that was releasing itself desperately through the set of lips pressed so
wantonly against hers. Most importantly of all, the Dynast King’s heir felt
love.
His actions suddenly became
alarmingly clear. He loved her.
When his lips pulled away she
felt herself yearning for more but before she could take any action he said
those damning words himself. “I love you Ashe. Please…please don’t go. Please
don’t do this. I’ve lived for two years with your memory plaguing my mind,
teasing my body, and making my heart’s next beat be
only in anticipation of the one day I would tell you what it feels. Gods Ashe I
love you.”
Ashe was stunned into
speechlessness, she couldn’t say a word. Taking that as a hint to continue, Vaan did so.
“I know your pain,
I know what it’s like to lose someone you care about more than anything. Every
time I looked at you I saw your motive, I saw your pain. It broke my heart and
from then on I’ve wanted to heal you. In the end…I guess you were my only
reason for living after we defeated Vayne. I’ve lived
for the chance to tell you how I feel, for the chance to help you through your
pain. I’d gladly die if it meant having your heart mended. Whatever I do I
can’t get you off my mind but I knew I never had a chance…Gods I’m being so
pathetic right now I probably look like a--”
What Vaan
thought he looked like both he and Ashe would never know, because through the
tears streaming down her own face she grabbed Vaan’s
head and pulled it into hers with more force than he had hers originally. Her
kiss was exactly like his, speaking of loss and love beyond humanity’s ability
to concept.
Screw taboos, screw being
proper, screw those damn politicians! This is mine and I won’t lose it, not
again, I had the chance once but I threw it away, not again, Ashe ranted
mentally. Unknown to her, the same thought was going through Vaan’s mind, but his was much simpler.
I won’t let her go. Not again.
I won’t let this be a dream this time!
The already passionate kiss
increased in its fervor and both tongues and teeth clashed with the force
behind each embrace. When they finally let go of each other out of the
desperate need for air, Vaan repeated one line.
“Please, I love you.”
Ashe sighed through broken
breaths as she rested her forehead against his. He said she needed healing, but
from the looks of it, it was him who needed healing, not her. She had had years
to get over Rasler’s death and the trials and travels
to get to Vayne Solidor had
been a big stepping stone. The younger man in front of her however, he had
spent two years longing for her, living for her, and all the while condemning
himself to being a nobody because he knew how out of his reach she was. She was
genuinely touched by his words and even more so when her judgment deemed his
actions to be real.
“Vaan,
I know but…” The second the ‘but’ was out of her mouth Vaan’s
gaze hardened into determination and Ashe was so surprised she stopped her
speech. She betted it had something to do with the fact he didn’t know what was
after the ‘but’. Instead of letting her finish however, Vaan
cut her off with two words.
“Marry me.”
Ashe kneeled in hunched awe in
front of him in his seat. Did…did he just propose to me? Her wide eyes
said nothing of the turmoil and euphoria fighting for dominance inside of her. “W-what?”
“You heard me: Marry me. I want
to be your husband. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“V-Vaan
be serious…y-you’ve always wanted to be a sky pirate, t-to be free in the open
skies. You don’t want to be married,” she said, though stutters threatened to overtake
her voice.
His piercing gaze didn’t falter.
“I’m not letting you go again.” This time he was the one to kneel in
front of her. “Please, Ashelia B’nargan
Dalmasca, marry me. I know the tradition is to be on
one knee, but I’m on both knees. I know I don’t deserve you, so here I am. It’s
up to you what you do with me.” His
voice was strained through heartache and tears, even though he had promised
himself he wouldn’t cry.
Ashe had never felt more loved in
her entire life. Her friend, this man in front of her, was willing to do
anything to please her, to help her as he put it. Even now, she could feel her
heart growing warm in his presence but it ached at seeing him like this. This
was not how a man proposed to a woman, this was how someone begged. Feeling confident
in her feelings and her answer, Ashe stood up in front of him and leaned down
to pull his head up by his chin.
“Your queen commands you to
rise,” she said with gentle authority ringing through her tone and tears
brimming in her eyes. Silently he did as he was told in confusion and she was
once again struck by how much he had grown. She now only came up to his chin.
The silence was deafening for
those moments, and when it seemed like his hands were going to start quivering
again she formulated something so unlike royalty it would be embarrassing if
anyone else would have seen it. What she had had planned wasn’t planned with
royalty in mind, it was formed out of love and passion by a woman who needed
her man to stand up for himself and not kneel like the pitiful dog he thought
he was.
She had forgotten Vaan had changed. As she was about to carry out her plan she
looked him in the eyes and saw they were deep with emotion, nearly crying
again, like he was remembering something.
“Do you remember, Ashe, when we
stood on the bridge underneath the stars in the land of the Garif?”
His voice was so soft, full of hurt and pain but filled even more with caring.
His eyes were so full of light at the memory it was like he could see right
through her and to the very depths of her soul. She nodded wordlessly and he
smiled a small, gentle smile, one that was nearly sad in its countenance.
“I told you I lacked a purpose…
that I was running away from Reks’ death. I told you
that I thought that if I followed you, I could find a reason for my life, I
could find a purpose. I think it was then, looking into your eyes just like
now, your honest eyes that for once held no contempt over my laughable
thievery or my ignorant brashness, that you became my purpose. You became
my reason. I followed you not because I wanted to find something for myself, I followed you because I wanted to find something
for you. I wanted to find that thing that would make you whole again,
even though I wished every moment of every day that that thing would be me.”
Her eyes started watering again and his had never stopped, but he continued
nonetheless. “When you left I lost my purpose, and the only thing on my mind
was you no matter how hard I tried to run away in the open skies that I had once
dreamed of. I wanted you back with me, I could tell I hadn’t found that thing for
you and every time I saw your sad eyes during the announcements it only
reminded me that I had failed you. Please, let me be your purpose, let me be
the thing you need. Marry me.”
She had expected him to just
stare at her silently when she asked him to stand so she could carry out her
plan. Instead, he had pulled her heart out with his soft words, all the while
making her feel not like a queen, but like a goddess who had fallen from the
heavens and who could only return by having the love of a mortal man. An
unworthy man who wanted so badly to be recognized for what he could offer her.
He knew he had what she needed, he was just so afraid she wouldn’t want what
came with it. Her body was crying out for him, it wanted him desperately, but
it was more than that. He may not have joined together with her physically yet,
but he had just made love to her with his words.
Her heart was in her throat as
she tried to swallow only to find herself letting loose gentle hiccups to go
with the tears falling from her happy brown eyes. She raised a shaky hand to
give the side of his face a loving caress and could feel heat travel up her arm
as he cautiously nuzzled it like he was afraid she would pull away at any
moment. She couldn’t handle it anymore. She knew.
She knew she wanted this, no, she
needed this. She needed someone to tell her they loved her, she needed
to feel wanted as more than a queen, but as a woman whose feelings mattered. Vaan had taken a leap of faith by confessing to her in the
way he did, she could have easily slapped him and found another courier willing
to take her to her destination, but instead she found those same feelings of
love which had bubbled back the surface.
He was never wrong to begin with.
He had always been the thing she needed. She just hadn’t realized it.
Her first plan had been thrown to
the wind…so she improvised.
With unadulterated love and pure
lust shining in her wet eyes she jumped Vaan and,
using his surprise to her advantage, she pushed him into his chair so she was
straddling his lap and ground her hips against his while biting and sucking his
lips. The reaction was immediate. The flesh beneath her incessant rubbing rose
to attention right away and she hummed in satisfaction into the kiss when she
felt his pant-covered tool rub her almost embarrassingly moist panty-clad
center from under her practically non-existent miniskirt.
He couldn’t stop the moan of
pleasure that shot through him at her actions but it was when the word ‘yes’
passed through his ears from her talented mouth did his mind come to full
awareness. He grabbed the back of her neck and pushed her into him harder while
thrusting his still-clothed hips up to meet hers in a struggle for more
friction.
Forcing his legs to move he
picked her light form up off his lap as he stood up only to have her wrap her
legs around his waist as they continued their messy display of passion.
Fumbling through the short halls he opened the captain’s quarters and Ashe
yelped in surprise when she felt herself be dropped onto a soft bed and away
from the mouth that she wanted to continue ravaging until there was no doubt
left in his mind what her answer was.
“You’ll marry me?” he asked, as
if he didn’t believe her answer, and he took off the metal gauntlets on his
hands before bracing his arms on either side of her body.
“Yes! Gods and Espers yes! Please Vaan I can’t
take it anymore!” It was nothing short of the truth, she had been abstinent
ever since Rasler’s death and her body was crying out for release. Her need had only multiplied
when his words had stroked her heart like he was already her lover, like he
already knew her inside and out. She loved him, this man above her, and she
needed him at the same time. He had both her love and her lust, and she knew
for a fact that she had his, if his words and the rather hard tent pressing
into her thigh were anything to go by.
“Sweet gods how I’ve waited to
hear those words,” he confessed breathlessly as his lips dove down to her neck
to plaster the soft flesh with wet kisses and gentle bites that shot little
spikes of pleasure through her already hypersensitive body. He kissed away the
tear stains on her face and she was so touched by the action she felt her soul
warm with each touch of his lips down her skin. He was only able to kiss the
juncture of her breasts before her shirt got in the way and try as he might the
uncooperative garment wouldn’t move.
Ashe chuckled from her
pleasure-filled haze as she felt him fumble with her shirt and decided she
would help him out. Wrapping a delicate leg still fully clothed around his
waist, she flipped them over so she was on top and pressed rather intimately
into the bulge of his pants. She couldn’t help the moan that escaped her lips
at the feeling of the hard flesh beneath her after so much time. While it was
true that she and Rasler hadn’t been together for
very long, it also made it true that they had only consummated their love on
their wedding night and after that Rasler had been
killed. She was pretty inexperienced but even she could recognize need
when she felt it.
Undoing the various belts keeping
her clothes on, she threw off her shirt and the bindings covering her breasts
in one pull before shimmying out of her skirt and leggings, never leaving her
place on top of him. When she had wiggled out of her skirt she inadvertently
rubbed her soaking panties over the straining erection in his pants and made
them both groan in appreciation at the friction. When she was done, she sat
straddling him in nothing but her panties while he was still fully dressed. Her
pert breasts were open to the cool air of the ship and she cooed when his large
hands came up and started massaging the ample flesh, worrying her nipples to
almost painful hardness with his fingers before she felt his warm tongue
lapping at one of them. She had no choice but to let her head fall back as she
panted for the breath that had shot out of her in a light scream when his wet
appendage had first touched one of her sensitive buds.
Rasler
had never done this, he had never paid so much attention to her body and she
felt each reverent lick and soft suckle Vaan did as a
core-shaking flash of pleasure only amplified when he rubbed himself against
the barrier of her panties. Her hands busied themselves in his hair, begging
him to continue until she realized they could be put to better use and shrugged
the open vest off of his shoulders, forcing him to let his hands leave their
wonderful task of massaging her waist and her neglected breast for a moment.
She whined in loss when his hands left her body but that quickly became a loud
cry when he took her other nipple fully into his mouth and started to carefully
bite and tease the hardened flesh before his hands wandered back to her as the
vest was carelessly discarded.
“Get out of those pants,” she
whispered into his ear and felt him vainly thrust into her on reflex when she
nibbled on the earlobe she was so close to.
Despite his reluctance to lose
contact with her body, he let her get off of his lap and quickly got up and
threw his pants to an unimportant place. He wouldn’t need them for a while anyway.
Ashe found out something very
interesting about the native-born Rabanastran that
day. Vaan didn’t wear underwear. His hard erection
was pointing proudly into the air after being confined in his pants for so long
and the tip already had a small drop of pre-cum leaking from it in his
excitement.
Gods he’s bigger than Rasler and his barely fit in me! She thought when she
saw his manhood. It didn’t turn her off in the least though; rather it
intensified the fire in her belly at the thought of finally being filled again
after all this time. She crawled towards him seductively and got up onto her
knees to kiss his standing form while he took it upon himself to rub his length
against her panty-clad slit. She groaned in frustration, he was so close to her
and he was driving her insane!
She whined into his mouth and was
once again surprised by him when he lowered her back to the bed and began a
slow and torturous trail of hot kisses down her slim stomach and sensitive
naval from his favorite starting point: her breasts. She writhed beneath his
mouth but he kept her firmly in place by placing his hands on her hips as he
continued his assault and broken forms of his name passed her swollen lips in
unintelligible cries of pleasure.
“Please Vaan,
lower!”
He was all too happy to comply
and when she felt his teeth pulling at the elastic of her panties she raised
her hips to allow him to slip them off. She looked down at him while he pulled
her soaked white panties off her with his teeth and it was probably the single
most erotic thing she had ever seen. It was when his head continued its trail
of kisses down her naked body to her thighs did she realize what he was going
to do.
Oh gods is he really going
to--- Her thought was erased by the first long and silky stroke of Vaan’s tongue on her unprotected sex. She moaned loudly as
the sensations ripped through her as Vaan licked up
her already flowing juices and continued until her thighs were clean before he
drove his tongue deep into her folds and forced her to cry out as her inner
walls clamped around his tongue to try and get the probing appendage in deeper.
Her hands had no objections to that sentiment and they wound themselves into
his hair to push his head into the apex of her thighs further than he was already
while her legs clamped almost painfully around his head.
This was another thing Rasler had never done and she was completely unprepared for
the torrent of pleasure that this particular style of foreplay gave her. Just
when she thought it couldn’t get any better and she was going to pass out from
the sheer euphoria of the act, Vaan’s tongue flicked
under the hood of flesh above her slit and he gave a long, hard suck on her
clitoris.
“Gods, Vaan!”
White light danced in front of
her eyes as she arched her back and screamed as the coiling sensation in her
stomach snapped and she climaxed into Vaan’s awaiting
mouth, who didn’t relent in his assault of her clit until she had fallen back
to the mattress and was panting for breath. He removed his head from her sex and
licked her juices off his lips sensually while she looked through
pleasure-laden eyes at him.
Okay, she had been wrong, and she
admitted that happily. That was the single most erotic thing she had
ever seen.
“Did that feel good, your Highness?” Vaan asked
seductively as he crawled up her body and placed his seemingly electric kisses
along her body while lighting it aflame once more when he blew cool air over it
and sensitized it more than it already was.
Ashe moaned in appreciation and
managed to open her eyes to look into the seas of almond that were looking at
her like she was the most beautiful creature alive. “Sacred Ultima,
Vaan, that
was incredible. Thank you,” she whispered in her voice hoarse from screaming
and was warmed by the soft smile that played over Vaan’s
lips. It spoke of possessiveness, love, and satisfaction even though it had
been her to receive all the pleasure while he himself stayed painfully hard, as
she noticed quickly when his heated flesh pressed into her thigh once more.
“You’re more than welcome. I’m
just glad I saved myself for you.”
Ashe’s hazy mind managed to
register that one and she pressed herself into the throbbing length below her,
just getting the tip inside before he pulled it out and she groaned at the
loss. “You mean to say…you’re still a virgin?” she panted out, just the tip had
gone inside her for that short instant but she already felt herself nearing her
second orgasm. While she wasn’t too experienced herself his tongue sure felt
like it knew what it was doing.
“In every sense of the word,” he
confessed with a light blush on his cheeks.
“How did you…?”
“I just did what felt right,
whatever gave you pleasure.”
Ashe felt herself getting hot
just at the thought. He was giving himself to her, fully. She had given
her virginity to Rasler but the treasure that gift
represented had been used much too little in her short marriage. The ache in
her stomach grew more and she knew, she just knew, that if he wasn’t in her
soon she would explode.
“Vaan…enough talking. Take me.”
Chapter Three: At Last
“Vaan…enough talking. Take me.”
When those words wafted through
his ears his throbbing length twitched and he momentarily sputtered at her
forthrightness. She was commanding one minute and the next she was a mewling
kitten. She was so confusing but he loved even that. Those words were only
outranked by her answer to his proposal and he couldn’t deny himself anymore.
His cock was twitching painfully from the amount of blood in it and her
inviting core was right in front of him as he lay propped over her heavily
breathing body, the repeated motion of her chest making her breasts bounce
playfully.
He heeded her words. He didn’t do
any more talking.
He bent down to recapture one of
her nipples in his mouth as he used one hand to keep himself up and the other
to guide himself into her. It was unneeded because a slender hand joined it and
he gasped when Ashe’s hand gave his erection a squeeze and swatted his hand
away. With both hands now supporting his weight he reluctantly let go of her
sweet breast and looked into her eyes as he slowly thrust forward and he felt
her body arch up into his as his cock slid into heaven.
Vaan
tried to stay quiet as he slowly penetrated the goddess beneath him but his
body would have none of that and a low hiss escaped his clenched lips. Gods, he
was losing his mind, her walls clamped around him harder the further he went in
and he knew it was a miracle he was able to hold back from losing it right then
when his hips touched hers and he was fully embedded inside her. If it wasn’t
for the lack of her maiden barrier Vaan would have
sworn she was a virgin as her inner muscles kept his member in a vice-like grip
that he never wanted to leave.
“Oh… my…” Vaan
began softly.
“…gods,” Ashe finished in a
delicate whisper that sounded more like a low moan.
Her amazingly sultry voice washed
through him like liquid fire and appealed to the carnal desires he had waited
much too long to carry out. He carefully pulled out until only the tip was in
before he slammed back into her and a mutual scream was torn from both of them.
He started a slow rhythm of those same agonizingly deep thrusts and eventually
she was crying out her pleasure while he made sure she knew how much he enjoyed
the feeling as well.
“Vaan, faster!”
The demanding side of her was out
again but who was he to deny her? With a small smirk pulling at his lips he
said, “No.” He was Vaan Ratsbane
that’s who. As if to punctuate his sentence he gave her an extra hard thrust
and enjoyed the view of her bosom bouncing in time to it.
“Gods Vaan,
please!” she cried as he continued his infuriatingly methodical rhythm
of bone-deep thrusts that pushed her so close to the point of no return only to
deny her the final shove off the edge she wanted to dive off of so badly.
“Since you asked so nicely,” he
groaned into her ear as he busied his mouth teasing the round earlobe he had
found too enticing to resist.
With no more warning he pushed
her legs onto his shoulders and increased his thrusts rapidly. She had no other
ability but to scream into the mouth right next to hers while the hands that
had been fondling his rear tightened to keep him penetrated as far as he could
go as she was accelerated off that point at a blinding speed. She clamped
around his erection as her orgasm flooded through her like it was a physical flash-flood
that wiped away any conscious thought and she gladly surrendered to the roiling
waves that had her body trembling in pure bliss.
“Ashe!” Vaan
cried out when he felt her convulse around his most sensitive organ and he too
let go of the edge he had been dangling off of for far too long. The feeling of
his orgasm was like every nerve ending in his body was alight in pleasure and the
feelings were gradually moving ever closer to the place where they were joined.
He knew when it reached his center there would be an explosion. Gods was he
right. A strangled version of her name came from him as his balls tightened and
he let his seed shoot deep into her womb as her climax continued around him and
he heard her moan his name deeply as his semen soaked her insides. He had never
heard his name sound so sexy in his life and coming from the woman he loved in
the throes of passion it had the incredible effect of keeping his own climax
going.
He didn’t know exactly how long
he stayed in that place where only they existed, but when he finally came down
from the euphoria his arms gave out on him and he made sure to fall over to her
side as he felt himself pulling out of her and saw a small amount of his seed
leak out.
“Sweet Ultima,
Ashe, that was amazing.”
Ashe turned her head over to
where her sweaty lover lay recovering and didn’t really answer, she just smiled
and moaned her approval while she stretched her arms and let them fall around Vaan’s neck while her legs did the same to his waist and
she rolled on top of him so her head could rest on his chest.
The sound she made any man would
have given his left arm to witness and he took great pride in the fact that he
was the one to evoke that from her.
Their sweaty skin pressing
together was extremely satisfying to Ashe for some reason and as she lay on his
heavily breathing body she could hear his heart gradually make its trek back
down to regularity from the intense workout it had just been put through. The
sound of his heart was reassuring and she nuzzled her head into his chest only
to hear him bring in a sharp gasp of breath. Only then did she realize that her
head had been resting over his left pectoral and she got an absolutely wicked
idea.
This was going to be fun.
Chapter Four: Payback
Only then did she realize that
her head had been resting over his left pectoral and she got an absolutely
wicked idea.
This was going to be fun.
Vaan
had no time to respond when he felt the dreaded effects of a Paralysis spell
permeate his body and render him helpless to even raise a finger. Beyond
confused, Vaan had the beginnings of a Esuna on his breath before
another spell offered its effects to him and he knew whatever Ashe had planned
for him he was sooo screwed.
The second spell had been
Silence.
Ashe leaned up and started
tracing invisible designs on his chest with her finger as she looked at him
both innocently and seductively at the same time. It was an incredible
combination. “I had always wondered why you refused any chance to control an Esper until all the known ones were already under mine or
the others’ control. It was when I realized you didn’t need one that I
started admiring you and your laid-back carelessness that always had some kind
of plan no one could understand behind it. You were so adept a spellcaster you had all of the magicks
mastered before I had barely gotten my White Magick 3
and that’s my specialty.
“You always kept me guessing at
what you had and whenever the situation seemed impossible you would surprise us
all with a magick that we never even knew you knew
existed, let alone understood the finesse of its destruction. But you always
did. It was through sheer chance that we found Zodiark
and it just so happened that only your personality could control him, it was
like he was called to your natural talent. I’d wager you were just about to Esuna my spell before I cast Silence on you now weren’t
you?” Ashe waited for any indication of an answer but then she remembered she
had taken away all movement as well as his voice so he had no way to answer.
“Blink once for yes, twice for no.” One blink answered her as she moved her
naked body to straddle his helpless one at his hips.
“Remember your favorite
combination?” she asked with a dangerous glint in her playful eyes. No blinks
answered her, until instead of blinking, his eyes widened in realization.
Oh crap, Vaan thought.
Ashe smiled seductively. “That’s
right: Paralysis and Silence. The target has no way to move and no way to break
the spell; they are completely at the mercy of their enemy. The spell only cuts
off movement, but feelings such as pain…” she saw his eyes stay widened and it
almost looked like he was afraid until the finger tracing his chest was joined
by its others and started massaging the chiseled flesh beneath them. His mouth
moved in unheard sighs that told her he was enjoying the treatment and she
gently increased the movements, passing agonizingly slow touches over his now
hardened pectorals. “…and pleasure… well… they can’t do anything but lay
back and receive it now can they?”
Understanding dawned in his wide
eyes through the tremors involuntarily running through his body at the motions
of her hands over his chest. Here she was: his goddess straddling him in all
her naked glory and he couldn’t so much as touch her while she could torture
his body in all kinds of ways. A wordless hiss escaped him as she bent down,
her still dripping sex over his gradually hardening, and took one of his
nipples into her soft mouth.
Ashe smiled around the nub
between her lips as she felt his cock jump. So this is an erogenous spot on
him as well? No wonder he enjoyed torturing mine. “Turnabout’s fair play,”
she whispered to him huskily and gave her hips a gentle nudge, teasing the
semi-erect penis so close to her center but so far away at the same time. She
attacked the flesh beneath her hot mouth and could feel the spasms of his
muscles as they tried to move but could do nothing but revel in the sensations
she was creating in him without mercy. His manhood was soon rock hard and
pressing against her cheeks as she alternated from teasing his nipples to making
a feather-light trail of kisses from the hollows of his neck to his
oh-so-bitable ears.
“Do you like what your queen is
doing to you?” she murmured sensually. His answer was impossible to understand
because his eyelids were flickering so fast it was like he was in the middle of
a seizure only his mind could feel. She loved this feeling of power she held
over him, he had teased her mercilessly before finally giving her the release
she craved, so she thought she would do the same to him. It was almost too bad
that she had to Silence him; she would have loved to hear the words coming out
of his gasping mouth as she continued her treatment while giving him nothing
but the occasional rub against his hardness that almost put him in her but
pulled away at the last second.
Silent cries continued to come
from him and they increased in their effort to speak when she started a slow
decent of kisses, leaving no skin untouched along the way, until she gave the
tip of his cock a light lick to taste the drop of pre-cum. All the muscles in
his body seemed to shudder uncontrollably at this while she knew his eyes were now
pinned on her.
Deeming his somewhat salty taste she
knew was mixed with the remnants of her own juices to be likable, she decided
she would continue. She had no experience in this whatsoever, but she figured
if he could make her feel that good while being a complete novice himself, then
she could make him feel the same way. Her second hesitant lick circled the
crown of his throbbing erection and it twitched at the feeling of her moist
tongue teasing it.
What she did next Vaan would never have been prepared for.
With no hesitation she took his impressive length entirely into her mouth and
the feeling of her throat convulsing around his cock as she tried to suppress
her gag reflex was almost as good as being inside her, but it wasn’t the same.
Not like he was complaining though, far from it. If she were to stop he would
lose his mind and beg her to continue, which somewhere in his blissful mind
that registered as something she might want him to do. The wet canal
started moving on his shaft and when he saw her bobbing her head over him he
nearly came right there. He was struck by a feeling of intense jealousy of
whoever she had first done this to, but that was soon wiped away by her
ministrations increasing even more and sending his uncooperative body into amazing
convulsions.
As cruel as she could possibly be,
Ashe pulled away when she felt his cock start expanding and knew that was the
sign his orgasm would hit him soon. She saw his face warp in confusion and
pleading and knew he had misunderstood her intentions.
She wanted him inside when
he came.
Quickly positioning herself before Vaan’s eyes had a
chance to refocus and give her a glare she knew she would have deserved, she
let herself fall and gasped when his entire length filled her in one thrust.
She was surprised by how turned on she was just from giving him pleasure and
realized this must have been how he felt after he had finished licking her
clean. It was no small wonder in her mind anymore how he had held on long
enough to make her climax again when she felt like she was going to lose it just
from being penetrated.
Beginning with a small motion of
rocking her hips, Ashe was pleasantly surprised to learn that this position
made him go even deeper into her than he had been in their first session of
lovemaking. She hadn’t thought that possible at the time. It turned her on even
more when she continued her motions and felt his rough pubic hair rub
tantalizingly against her clit. Even though she had come twice already she felt
another orgasm nearing much faster than she would have ever anticipated and her
body wanted that sweet release more than anything.
Rapidly feeling her grip on
reality loosening as she neared that edge after teasing him so much, she braced
her hands on his chest and started to bounce herself on his tool, screaming his
name as she made him leave her entirely only to pound him back into her with
the full force of her meager body weight.
Vaan
was in heaven, cloud nine, he was completely gone. Nothing in the world could
mimic what he was feeling and he thanked whatever god he had pleased enough to
have given him the gift above him with all of his heart. He didn’t care in the
least about being able to move anymore. He may have felt like she was
using him as her own Hume-shaped vibrator… had it not been for each melodious
scream of his name that she formed every time she slammed back onto him.
If she’s paying me back for
all the teasing I gave her before, than by the gods she can take out her
revenge on me anytime!
There was no way he could hold it
any longer, after the treatment she had given him he felt ready to explode at
an embarrassingly fast rate but by some force of nature he had managed to hold
it off. With a loud groan he grabbed her hips and thrust her onto him one last
time with all the strength in his arms while with a scream of her name he
released into her, completely ignorant of the fact that both of her spells had
just worn off.
When Ashe felt his large hands
grip her hips only to be pulled down into his deepest penetration yet, she
cried out in ecstasy and joined him in climax as she felt his hot semen coating
her tight walls. He kept thrusting into her while it was happening, prolonging
it more and more and to her already inconceivable amount of pleasure she felt
herself letting go again, crying out her love for him in the most intense waves
of bliss as her second orgasm of just a few seconds ripped through her. This
one was not like the tidal wave that had washed away her thoughts, this one was
like an avalanche that carried her with it whether she liked it or not. But she
liked it, oh gods did she love it.
Her body trembled as her climaxes
numbed her body to anything but the most extreme feelings of passion before she
collapsed onto his chest, her sweat-slicked hair pasting itself to his body,
and she felt his warm hands start to massage her back.
“I love you too Ashe, I really
do.” Vaan’s voice was soft and hoarse through his
gulping breaths, even though he had only been able to scream in the last few
moments of their lovemaking.
She smiled into his heaving chest
when she realized that she had indeed told him she loved him in the
mindlessness of her multiple orgasm. She briefly wondered why it took her so
long to say it even though she knew she loved him before he had even confessed
to her.
“I know Vaan,
I know.”
“Still want to go to Rozarria?” She could hear the smile in his voice.
Managing to give a feeble punch
to the chest she was laying on with what little remained of her energy she
couldn’t help but smile back at his question. “Why? To invite
Al-Cid to our wedding?” She felt little shivers of pleasure jump up her
spine when she felt Vaan start hardening inside her
again. Just the mention of getting married to her made him hard and she loved this
stamina of his but hers had all run out. “I don’t think I can move anymore Vaan.”
“Neither can I, it’s just
reflex.” She gave a small laugh at that and he joined her. “Gods,
who wouldn’t get hard when they hear they’re going to marry a goddess?”
Ashe looked thoughtful for a
moment. “Who indeed?” she asked as sarcastically as she was able to at the
moment while giving her hips a small jerk for emphasis only to feel him harden
more.
“I’ll never be able to get enough
of you.” His hands had moved from massaging her back to have one entwine its
fingers with hers and the other to start combing through her sweaty hair.
“Don’t torture me like this Vaan, it’s not faaaair,” she
moaned out when his hips started rocking into hers slowly and she felt her body
respond even though she could barely speak, let alone reciprocate. A gentle
smile tugged at his lips and she could see it. “Vaan…what
are you planning?” The full smile broke out over his face and it was so like
the boy’s she knew two years ago she just had to smile back. It was when his
lips moved and a gentle incantation flowed from them did she know they were far
from done.
“Curaja.”
Her body’s strength returned to
her in a flash but before she could do anything Vaan
had flipped her onto her stomach and with her propped up on her hands and knees
in confusion he thrust into her wonderfully abused core from behind.
She cried out in delight and
surprise at the unusual penetration as he continued to savagely thrust into her
while his hands had roamed their way to her breasts and were kneading them
passionately.
Gods I can’t wait for the
honeymoon. If he’s like this now, I wonder how he’ll be when I have his
ring on my finger? Thoughts of a honeymoon brought
another matter to mind. He gave me his virginity…he saved himself for me. Such
depressing thoughts were still in her mind even as her body registered the
extreme pleasure it was going through. Well, she thought happily as a
solution came to mind. I do have one virginal orifice left to offer
him…. The thought of what he would do to her when she offered that part of
herself to him sent wonderful little tingles down her spine that resulted in
him crying out when they in turn sent her inner muscles into tremors.
Her idle thoughts were stopped abruptly
when another scream was deliciously torn from her body and she gladly
surrendered control to her soon-to-be husband as she lost herself in the
sensations of her body while screaming for him to continue.
Penelo
slumped into the high-backed chair she had been sitting in after coming down
from another mind-blowing orgasm as she removed her hand from her sopping wet
panties.
“Gods, those two are still
at it? Where in Ivalice is Larsa
when I need him? They keep getting me so hot it’s like I’d jump the next thing
that comes through that door just to get what they have.”
At the moment she was very glad
for the security cameras she had installed in the Ashynn
as she looked back to the couple rutting heatedly like a pair of dogs.
Dear gods was it hot to watch.
Watching the woman that did
everything but openly shut Vaan down during their
journey and the woman that had tortured his very existence until a few hours
ago was now the woman absolutely begging him to give it to her harder
and faster. Penelo couldn’t tear her eyes away from
the sweaty couple as their bodies collided harder and harder but their faces
were at absolute peace even though their eyes were filled with the fires of
passion. Even as they cried out each other’s names she could feel nothing from
the two but the most indescribable feelings of trust and love. This wasn’t just
sex, this was two people making love, and she could tell the difference. This
was the consummation of a marriage that they had both decided was going to take
place but it was as if that had already happened.
Penelo
almost wished Vaan would give it to her so hard she
hurt. She had put him through so much pain, but even now there was nothing on
his face or in his eyes but love for the woman beneath him. It had taken her a
long time to change back into just his best friend, what she wanted most was
for him to be happy, but she knew she couldn’t give him that. She knew, deep in
her heart, that Ashe deserved this too, deserved to be happy, but a small part
of her resented Ashe for making Vaan wait for so
long, made him wait through loneliness and heartache for something they both
needed.
That was dwelling on the past
though, and she had promised Vaan she would find her
own happiness, and she had. Even though she knew she shouldn’t be spying on
them, especially during something like this, she couldn’t help but feel
relieved.
She had found her own happiness,
and at last, Vaan had found his too.
It looks like Vaan is finally getting what he deserves after waiting
through those terrible years of longing… and Ashe is enjoying every minute of
it, she thought with some crude amusement,
And herself?
Well, a year ago she would have killed to be in Ashe’s position but now she had
someone that fulfilled her like no one else could. Which was why she was so
frustrated he wasn’t here at the moment that she felt her hand start wandering
lower again.
“Did someone call for me?” a mild
tenor voice asked amusedly in its heavy accent of Archadian
nobility.
Penelo
swiveled her chair in surprise to see her lover, the now mid-teens Lord Larsa Solidor, looking at her
with a sultry smile on his face as he leaned against the doorframe to her room.
She matched his smile as she stood up clad only in her black panties and walked
seductively over to where his frame of equal height awaited her.
“So, you managed to steal away
from Basch for a few hours?” she asked, already
knowing the answer even though he always had the courtesy to nod.
She knew Larsa had
an impeccable sense of chivalry but when he had told her about Vaan’s threatened castration if he ever lost it they had
both laughed long and hard, even though there was no doubt in either of their
minds that Vaan would do it if Larsa
hurt his adopted sister, even if he was the Emperor of Archadia.
She drew her index finger to him
in ‘come hither’ signal that Larsa was all too happy
to respond to as he wrapped his hands around her nearly naked hips and gave her
a heated kiss before turning his head, and thus Penelo’s
with it, to the screen displaying the nude couple in the midst of carnal pleasure.
“That wedding will be quite a
surprise to the people now won’t it?”
Penelo
smiled. “No more than ours,” she answered through a mild giggle as he played
with the ring already on her finger. Larsa shared her
amusement with genuine enthusiasm.
“It will at that, Penelo. It will at that.” Penelo
smiled and bucked her hips into his sensually.
“Good. Now get out of those
clothes.”
The End.
