He dreamt he was in a field of white and yellow flowers, and a soft, angelic voice was calling his name. He ran and ran as fast as he could in search of the voice, but it seemed to keep fading. He could hear the sound of his heavy boots thudding loudly as he ran. He glanced down, only to see that the field of flowers had been replaced by a dingy, old, wooden floor. Well, that would explain the thudding sounds; Military-issue boots were thick-soled and steel-toed. The thudding noise grew louder and louder, and when he glanced down at his feet, he realized that he wasn’t running anymore. Strange; Where was that thumping sound coming from then? A young, teenaged Cloud Strife lazily roused from his dream. It took him a few minutes to remember where he was, and even who he was. He’d only gathered consciousness enough to know that he was Private Cloud Strife of Nibelheim, and that he was lying on the dingy, old couch in the sitting area of a bunk that he shared with another Private - whose name completely escaped him at the moment and whom he absolutely couldn’t stand. And then he realized someone was knocking on the door. “Shit!” Cloud cursed under his breath as he bolted upright, nearly tumbling onto the floor in the process. He absently wondered what time it was as he dashed over to the door and unlocked all three of the locks before opening the door. No one was there. Damn, he must have missed whoever it was. The young blonde glanced outside of the door and out into the hallway; Left, right, then left again, his eyes widening into bright blue saucers when he realized who he saw. “General Sephiroth!” he gasped, the words leaving his mouth before he even realized it. The silver-haired General froze in his tracks, but he didn’t turn himself about right away. “Did I wake you, Private?” he asked in his usual smooth, deep, and calm voice. “O-Oh, that… That was you?” Cloud stammered, trying desperately to think of a good, logical reason why the Great General Sephiroth, of all people, would seek him, of all people, out in his bunk at - he glanced at his watch - 10:30 at night. “I sincerely apologize if I have in any way inconvenienced you, Cloud.” the General spoke again, his back still facing the young Private. “N-no, no, no, you haven‘t! It’s okay! Really!” Cloud continued to stammer, and part of him wished Sephiroth would just turn around and look at him already. At least that way, he’d have some sort of clue about whether or not the General intended on coming or going. Cloud thought he heard Sephiroth smirk as the silver-haired SOLDIER turned around, slowly, to face him. And once he did, Sephiroth stilled again and said nothing more, as though he were patiently waiting for Cloud to… Do what? Ask him something? Offer him something? Wasn’t it Sephiroth who had sought him out to begin with? “Was there…something you needed?” Cloud asked hesitantly, absently nibbling on his lower lip. “In a manner of speaking,” Sephiroth replied coolly, and slowly held a gloved hand, palm up, out in front of him. “I wondered if you might be so kind as to join me in my quarters this evening, Cloud.” Holy Mother of Shiva, was he joking?! Was this some kind of sick plot set up by Zack?! …Yeah, that was probably it; Cloud’s birthday was tomorrow, and the blonde had been expecting Zack to pull something like this. Although, he never thought Sephiroth would actually go along with any of Zack’s wild schemes. “If you’d rather not…” Sephiroth offered in a murmur. Oh, shit. He’d been quiet too long. “No! I mean, yes! I mean…” Cloud raised a hand to his face and gently planted his palm against his forehead. It only lingered there for a moment or two before dropping back down to his side. “…Really?” Sephiroth nodded, and Cloud could’ve sworn he saw the General smiling; Not much, but just enough to slightly curl the left corner of his mouth. Cloud swore it was easily one of the sexiest things he’d ever seen… Right up there with when Zack put his hands above his head and stretched out his whole body. “Then you accept?” Sephiroth asked, almost looking a bit confused…almost. Cloud quickly nodded and hid a smile by gently sinking his teeth into his bottom lip. “Can you give me a sec to grab a few things?” Sephiroth lightly waved a hand in dismissal. “You won’t need them.” “But, I… I’m not really even dressed.” Cloud glanced down, sheepishly indicating the gray, drawstring pants that looked two sizes too big for him, and the wrinkled, white, ribbed, sleeveless top he wore. “You look fine,” Sephiroth insisted matter-of-factly, completely oblivious to the way that such a simple statement made Cloud’s heart flutter. He paused, then glanced down toward Cloud’s bare feet. “You might want to put some shoes on, though.” “Yeah…” Cloud agreed nervously, instinctively curling his toes inward a bit. “We’re not…going anywhere or anything, are we?” Sephiroth lightly shook his head. “Just to my quarters, unless there is somewhere you’d rather go?” Cloud shook his head to answer negatively before disappearing into his room for only a second or two - just long enough to slip on a pair of sneakers and take a quick glance in the mirror, grimacing at himself and running a hand through his mussed-up, spiked-up hair. He grabbed the keycard to his room before exiting again, stuffing the card in his pocket and reaching up to the keypad on the wall to type in the correct numbers that would lock the door. When he turned back again, the General was patiently waiting for him. It took everything Cloud had not to start skipping his way toward Sephiroth like a lovesick schoolboy, especially when he reached the General’s side and caught a whiff of the SOLDIER’s scent. Heavenly, Cloud always thought; Like an angel. Sephiroth didn’t say a word. He only offered Cloud a quick, soft glance before beginning to stride down the hall, as elegant as always. The General knew the blonde Private would follow him, and he was right, as usual. Cloud quickly walked along beside his superior, not directly next to him, but not exactly behind him either. As always, he found it almost difficult to keep up with Sephiroth’s long, graceful strides, but he managed well enough, and before long, they were inside the elevator. It was a long way up, and therefore a long ride up. Cloud was only a Private in ShinRa’s military, not even a SOLDIER, so his room was only on the measly 22nd floor. Zack’s room was on the 60th floor, and Sephiroth’s room was way up in the restricted areas on floor 71. The silence was highly uncomfortable for Cloud, but Sephiroth didn’t even seem to notice. He seemed to be far away, his mind occupied with all sorts of things that Cloud would never know about. Sometimes he wished he could shrink himself down to the size of a flea and go climbing around inside Sephiroth’s head for a while, just to see how everything worked. Such thoughts distracted Cloud, and before he knew it, the bell on the elevator rang out, and Sephiroth stepped past him and began to float his way down another hallway. Cloud eagerly followed, of course, glancing around nervously as though he were afraid he would get caught up here. Privates were not allowed to be this high up in the building, and although Cloud knew that Sephiroth basically was given anything he desired, it still made him uneasy. He’d probably feel better once they settled in Sephiroth’s room, where he wouldn’t have to worry about being caught or seen…except by Sephiroth, of course. And that was a terrible dilemma in itself. There had only been a couple times before when he’d been alone with the General. Every other time, he’d had Zack with him for…protection, of sorts. Not that he ever thought Sephiroth would harm him, of course, but Cloud worshipped the shit out of Sephiroth, and that alone never failed to make him as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. The reality of this situation didn’t even hit him fully until Sephiroth unlocked his quarters, opened the door, and he stepped inside. Always a gentleman - at least to Cloud and Zack - Sephiroth had stepped aside to allow Cloud to enter first, and whether or not the young Private realized it, that was a grand gesture of trust for someone like Sephiroth to display. The moment Cloud stepped foot inside Sephiroth’s quarters, he felt lightheaded, like he couldn’t breathe. Memories about the times he’d been here before came flooding back to him… From New Year’s Eve over a year ago when Zack, then Sephiroth, had taken his virginity, to just two weeks ago when the three of them had been writhing together on Sephiroth’s bed, listening to Zack scream and beg for more as Cloud sucked him dry and Sephiroth let loose inside him. It suddenly hit him that THAT was likely the reason Sephiroth had brought him here. Zack was probably just waiting for them in the bedroom. Maybe he’d jump out of a cake wearing nothing but a big red ribbon. Cloud giggled just then and noticed the way Sephiroth paused in his movements to look at him curiously. He shook his head at the General to politely dismiss his laughter, and Sephiroth seemed content with just that. He locked the door and took a moment to remove his long, black, leather jacket and hang it up in a nearby closet. Then he began to unfasten and remove the leather strap about his torso as he swept past Cloud, oh-so-lightly brushing up against him. “Come with me, Cloud,” he ordered calmly, then draped the leather strap over the back of a chair and headed toward the bedroom. Oh, I soooo called it! Cloud thought to himself with a silent, inner smirk. I swear I’ll keel right the hell over if Zack is in there, inside a cake. Sephiroth didn’t look back as he strode casually down the short hallway that led to his closed bedroom door. He had a lock for that, too, and once unlocked, the General opened the door and walked in first this time. Only then did he pause and turn, looking for Cloud. Cloud, of course, was right behind him, following him like a shadow (or a lovesick puppy). He fully expected Zack to be waiting in that room for them, so he couldn’t help but lightly frown when he walked in and found the room empty. No cake, no Zack, no nothing… At least, nothing that was out of the ordinary. Sephiroth’s bedroom was immaculate as usual, with nothing seeming out of place. Perhaps there was a distinct absence of a few things, but… As the young blonde glanced curiously about Sephiroth’s bedroom with a lightly furrowed brow, the possibility occurred to him that Sephiroth brought him here to have his way with Cloud, sans the presence of Zack. And THAT opened up a whole new world of hopes and fears for the poor boy. To start, how absolutely heavenly would it be to have a chance to be so intimately alone with the Great Sephiroth? That certainly wasn’t to say that he didn’t enjoy the hell out of his time with Sephiroth AND Zack, but he was pretty sure that Zack had been alone with the General, so shouldn’t Cloud get his chance, too? And that was the other side of the coin. How would he handle such a situation without Zack? How could he? Whenever the three of them - Sephiroth, Zack, and himself - were together, he could always count on looking at Zack and seeing that beautiful, cheerful smile of reassurance. Whenever he felt nervous or uncertain, it always cleared his mind in an instant to just look over at Zack. How could he handle being alone with Sephiroth if he didn’t have the encouragement from Zack? Cloud’s stomach felt queasy and his knees felt weak as his widened blue eyes watched the General cross the room. Sephiroth’s back was to him, and the blonde couldn’t help but nearly lose himself in watching the gorgeous, hypnotic way Sephiroth’s long, silver hair flowed behind him as he walked. “I am sorry to say that Zack will be unable to join us this evening,” the General spoke softly as he opened a cabinet against the wall on the opposite side of the room. “How did you…?” Cloud whispered to himself, barely audibly. So many times it was almost eerie how Sephiroth seemed to read his mind. Sephiroth never looked back at Cloud. Instead, he busied himself with carefully retrieving two stemmed glasses from the cabinet he’d opened. Balancing them expertly between his long, elegant fingers, he next recovered an open bottle of red wine, vigilantly filling each glass before setting the bottle on a small, nearby table. Cloud, of course, saw or paid attention to very little of this, and only noticed Sephiroth approaching him when he felt those dangerously enticing, cat-like, emerald eyes watching him. He only half registered that Sephiroth was handing him a glass because he was so lost in the General’s eyes. There was something different about them tonight - or at least, so he thought. “He’s informed me that I am forbidden to ‘get you too drunk’ because he intends to celebrate your birthday with you tomorrow,” Sephiroth’s lips curled into a soft smirk. Cloud quirked a thin, blonde eyebrow. Were they still talking about Zack? “You see, he’s been caught up in a last minute routine mission to Kalm,” Sephiroth continued, “He’ll be home shortly before noon tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have business to attend to in Junon tomorrow afternoon.” Cloud absently nodded. His eyebrow lowered itself to its original position, and almost just as absently, the young blonde raised the glass to his lips, intending to take a sip… But Sephiroth’s fingertips stopped him. “So, my dear,” Sephiroth‘s voice dropped to a near purr, “I’m afraid that, for tonight…it’s just you and I.” Okay, hold the phone. In all honesty, Cloud had figured that both Sephiroth and Zack had simply forgotten about the young Private’s birthday. They were highly important - and very busy - First Class SOLDIERs, after all. And yeah, Cloud also figured that he could pout a little bit at Zack whenever his dark-haired friend had some free time, and after spilling the beans about his birthday, Zack would feel incredibly guilty and make it up to him. But he never dreamed that the Great General Sephiroth would take such an initiative to celebrate his birthday; He seemed to rather dislike his own. But Cloud thought maybe that was because his birthday was so close to Christmas. He was quite happy having a birthday in August, when the weather was warm and there weren’t any major holidays going on. “A toast,” Sephiroth quietly interrupted Cloud’s thoughts, “To another year of this wonderful, fascinating relationship that you and I have sprouted over the past several months.” The young blonde couldn’t help but smile, and he nodded. And this time when he went for a drink, Sephiroth allowed it, taking a sip from his own glass before quickly continuing. “And, of course, to the beautiful birthday boy himself, hm?” Sephiroth grinned and leaned down to steal a very light, but very sweet kiss from the young Private, who almost immediately let out a tiny purr in response. When Cloud’s eyes fluttered open again and he regained his focus, he noticed Sephiroth stepping back from him and crossing the room again. “Make yourself comfortable, darling, please,” he said calmly, without looking back. “And drink up. I have plans for you, Cloud.” Although Cloud was looking in the General’s direction, he didn’t need to be to notice that beautifully wicked gleam in the other’s eyes when he added that last part. A slightly wicked grin accompanied that look, and it made Cloud shiver. He obeyed, though, almost absently, and made his way over to the General’s bed. At first, he only dared to sit on the edge, still curiously keeping an eye on Sephiroth as the long-haired General hovered about the room. Eventually, however, as Sephiroth seemed to finally be making his way over to join him, he managed to scoot back on the mattress a bit and allow himself to relax - but only a little. Drinking the wine helped, so he took a chance to do that every time he remembered to. Sephiroth, meanwhile, finally approached Cloud, still lightly grinning at him. In one hand, he held the still half full bottle of wine, and in the other, two wrapped boxes - one bigger than the other but both packages were relatively small. Without a word, only a small smile, Sephiroth casually handed both boxes to Cloud. “What’s this?” the blonde asked softly, but absently accepted both gifts, his bright blue eyes shifting curiously from them, back up to Sephiroth. The General nearly smirked. “Is it not customary for one to receive gifts from his or her dearest friends on the anniversary of the day of his or her birth?” he asked, so formally and so seriously. Cloud nearly smirked. “Well, yeah, but…” He trailed off as Sephiroth reached forward with one hand, gently closing Cloud’s fingers over the two small gifts he held in one hand. “But nothing,” the silver-haired SOLDIER purred, “Open them.” Cloud blinked for a second or two in both curiosity and confusion, but before he could have a chance to argue, Sephiroth was gently but pointedly taking the blonde’s wine glass out of his opposite hand, apparently holding it for him and giving him time and space to open the gifts he’d offered the young Private. Eventually, Cloud’s gaze softened and he slowly and nervously went about opening the slightly larger of the two boxes, trying like hell to avoid Sephiroth’s gaze while doing so. Even though he didn’t look up at the General, he could feel the man’s cat-like gaze upon him. It never occurred to him, of course, that Sephiroth might be just as nervous about the gifts as he was. In Cloud’s mind, Sephiroth was never nervous. The young Private’s mouth fell open agape as he revealed the contents of the first box. Carefully lifting the small, green orb from out of its packaging, Cloud stared at it, wide-eyed, and held it up to the light. "Materia?” he asked softly as he gazed up through the semi-transparent, jade sphere. “Mastered Shield Materia,” Sephiroth corrected, calmly and just as softly. Upon hearing Cloud’s quiet gasp of surprise, he continued. “I’ve spent the last few weeks leveling it up for you. With it, I will be assured that you will always be protected whenever Zack or myself are unable to do so ourselves.” With this explanation, Cloud felt his heart melting. It was a simple gesture, but an entirely sweet and unexpected one. He lowered the small orb back into his lap and smiled up tenderly at his silver-haired Superior. “I…don’t know what to say, Sephiroth… Thank you.” “There’s still more, Cloud,” the General answered in a quiet purr. Cloud suddenly remembered the second box and glanced back down toward his lap. Taking a moment to carefully settle the Materia back into its box, he closed the lid, then reached for the smaller package. Just as curiously, though a little less nervously this time, he worked to open the box, just as surprised at the contents of this one as he was the last. “This…” Sephiroth began to explain, “Is a gift from both Zack and myself… But he insisted that I be the one to present it to you.” Inside the smaller box was a single stud earring. The stone looked like a sparkling diamond. “The setting is gold, and the stone is a rare crystal from the Northern Continent.” Sephiroth was still explaining the details of the earring, but Cloud was only just paying attention. Inwardly, he was squealing as he carefully took the piece of jewelry from its box with one hand and began to remove the plain, silver stud earring he wore in his left ear. He was eager to replace it with this new one. He faintly heard Sephiroth chuckling. “I suppose it is safe to assume that you approve of it, then?” the General asked, almost playfully. Cloud paused in his actions to glance up at Sephiroth and nod, with a bright smile on his face. He then ignored all else for a moment in favor of replacing his earring with the new, crystal one, then placed his old earring in the box that the new one had been in. Once done, he let out a soft giggle and lunged unexpectedly forward, wrapping his arms about his idol in a hug. Sephiroth was only slightly taken aback, and had enough recovery time so that neither his, nor Cloud’s, drinks were spilled. “Thank you, Sephiroth… So much.” Cloud murmured into the General’s neck. A very light blush came over Sephiroth’s face despite himself, but Cloud didn’t seem to notice. “You’re very welcome, Cloud,” Sephiroth murmured softly in response. “And I do adore you, darling, but my hands are still occupied.” Cloud pulled back then, at first in confusion, but when he realized that Sephiroth was still holding both of their drinks, he laughed a little and offered the General an apologetic look before taking back his own drink. Gathering up the two small boxes and setting them aside on the small table next to Sephiroth’s bed, Cloud took a long, deep swallow from his glass. It sent his head spinning…or maybe that was just because he’d received two wonderful and highly unexpected gifts from his beautiful, silver-haired idol. “Now then, Zack insisted that you should have cake,” Sephiroth suddenly said, reaching up to very lightly - and very teasingly - caress one side of Cloud’s face before standing and crossing the room again. “I tried to tell him that he could feed you all the cake he likes tomorrow, but…” The General trailed off and turned his back to Cloud. Upon facing him again, he held a small, white, iced cake on a small, immaculate silver plate in his free hand. He grinned as he returned to the bed and resumed his seat next to Cloud, offering him the small cake. Cloud softly giggled. “There’s supposed to be candles, I think, Seph…” he pointed out, lightly blushing. Sephiroth expression instantly faded. “Damn,” he muttered, glancing away, “I knew I was forgetting something… I didn’t have time to call Zack.” Cloud giggled again and lightly shook his head. “No, no, it’s okay,” he quickly insisted, tilting his head a bit to try and peer into Sephiroth’s face. “I don’t mind… Really.” Sephiroth seemed to relax a little and he lifted his gaze to meet those striking blue eyes of the young blonde, losing himself in them for a brief second before whispering softly, “You don’t mind?” Cloud smiled and shook his head. After a few moments of silence, he decided to ask almost hesitantly, “Can I still make a wish…without candles?” Sephiroth very faintly blushed, and Cloud noticed this time. It caused his own blush to deepen a bit, but it also made his smile widen. “I don’t see why not,” the General finally answered after a few seconds, “If you would like to.” Cloud smiled again, nodded, and closed his eyes, presumably to make his wish. A few seconds later, he reopened them and grinned up at the General. “Okay, done.” “What did you wish for, little one?” “I can’t tell you. It’s an unspoken rule that birthday wishes are supposed to remain a secret…otherwise they won‘t come true.” Sephiroth smirked softly at that and lowered his eyes, but pressed no further. Instead, without another word, he dipped one slender finger into the white icing that topped the cake, sweeping up a bit of it onto his fingertip. Then, he watched with interest as Cloud’s eyes widened in reaction to the way Sephiroth slowly slipped his frosting-coated fingertip passed the blonde’s lips and into his mouth. Luckily, instinct took over and Cloud managed to tentatively lick the icing off of Sephiroth’s finger. And if looks could kill, Cloud would have been dead on the spot, because the half-lidded, lustful look in Sephiroth’s eyes as Cloud licked his finger was beyond dangerous. “How is it?” the General eventually purred, in a barely audible, but very seductive tone. "Mmm?” Cloud murmured around Sephiroth’s finger. The silver-haired SOLDIER replied with a soft smirk and slowly removed his finger from the blonde’s mouth. Cloud watched in open fascination as Sephiroth took that same finger into his own mouth to clean off the remainder of frosting that Cloud might have missed. “Do you mean…the frosting…? Or your finger?” Cloud somehow found the balls to ask… Probably the alcohol kicking in. Sephiroth laughed, actually laughed, and flashed a smile in Cloud’s direction that made him feel lightheaded. “I meant the former, darling,” Sephiroth murmured in response, “However, now that you mention it, I’m finding myself far more interested in the latter.” Cloud felt his face flushing all varieties of crimson, and glanced away, taking a moment to drain the rest of the alcohol from his glass. Because he was looking away, he didn’t notice what Sephiroth was up to next. When he finally got enough guts to look back in the General’s direction, he saw Sephiroth actually licking the blade of a small switchblade that he’d retrieved from seemingly nowhere - presumably to cut the small cake, considering it was cake crumbs and icing the SOLDIER was licking from the knife. Cloud watched in awe and fascination, but Sephiroth did not cut himself with the sharp blade, instead returning it to his pants pocket once it was clean. He then reached for a small piece of the newly cut cake. Gripping it firmly but gently between his thumb and forefinger, he grinned at Cloud and lifted it up to the blonde’s lips, intending to feed it to him. Sephiroth never said a word throughout all of this, but Cloud quickly took the hint and cautiously accepted the small bite of cake, purposely licking Sephiroth’s fingertips in the process. The General noticed the effort and rewarded Cloud with a seductively wicked grin. “It’s really good,” Cloud finally spoke up again after the third small slice of cake fed to him in this way. “You want some?” Sephiroth softly smirked to himself and smiled, lightly shaking his head. “No, lovely, this is your birthday cake.” “So that means I can share it if I want to…right?” Cloud’s grin widened as he swallowed the remainder of the cake in his mouth. Sephiroth lightly shrugged after a moment of consideration, murmuring, “I suppose so…” Cloud softly giggled to himself and scooped up the final sliced piece of cake left on the small plate in Sephiroth’s hand, and watched with bright, eager eyes as he tried to feed the treat to the General in the same manner as had been done to him. Sephiroth smirked and rolled his eyes, and at first, Cloud was afraid that his beloved General might actually refuse the offered sweet. But eventually, very slowly, cautiously, and almost shyly, Sephiroth accepted the piece of cake from Cloud’s fingers. He slowly slid his eyes closed and allowed his lips and tongue to linger over the blonde’s fingers. Cloud watched and felt everything with wide eyes and intense interest. He didn’t even notice when Sephiroth moved his arm to set aside both the empty plate and his wine glass. He did notice, however, when, in the next moment, one of those hands slid slowly up and over Cloud’s chest… And suddenly, Cloud wished he was wearing more than just a sleeveless top…but at least he was wearing loose pants. Eventually, Cloud managed to pull his fingers away from Sephiroth’s mouth, but the General didn’t seem to mind. He didn’t say a word. Instead, he leaned forward and gently nuzzled into Cloud’s neck, lightly brushing his lips along the blonde’s throat. Cloud noticeably shivered…and nearly dropped his still partially filled glass. Realizing that, he lifted the glass up and quickly drained it of its contents before carelessly setting it aside next to the boxes he’d earlier discarded. Now hands free, he used both of his palms to support himself as he absently tilted his head back in silent encouragement. “How are you feeling, Cloud?” Cloud only just heard Sephiroth’s low, smooth, purring voice murmuring against his skin. Almost absently, he murmured his reply, “A little drunk…a little lightheaded…a little nervous…but mostly heavenly…” “Good…” Sephiroth purred, very slowly and very gently coaxing Cloud onto his back, without the blonde really seeming to notice - or mind - very much. “You have no reason to be nervous, Cloud,” Sephiroth’s purr continued, “I promise that I will never harm you…” Something about the way Sephiroth said that last part… It made Cloud relax completely and almost instantly. Of course, he’d always trusted Sephiroth, but very rarely did it seem that the General made any sort of promises. Sephiroth could have promised Cloud a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and the blonde still would have swooned just as much. Cloud thought he heard Sephiroth murmur something else, but he couldn’t make it out, and was very quickly distracted from that when he felt his silver-haired idol lightly nibble his way up and over Cloud’s jaw line, seductively and dominantly looming over the blonde’s body. "Sephir--" Cloud was quickly cut off from softly gasping the SOLDIER’s name when Sephiroth captured the young blonde’s lips in a gentle and sweet, yet passionate and insistent kiss. It lasted for several minutes before Sephiroth finally broke it to allow Cloud a breath. He lingered against the blonde’s lips, however, softly and breathlessly purring, “If you have any objections to this, Cloud, you should say so now…” That rather surprised the young Private. Why in the HELL would he EVER have any objections to THIS??? He blinked up at Sephiroth, wide-eyed, for a moment. Breathless and nearly speechless, all he could manage to do was lightly shake his head. Sephiroth smiled, softly and wickedly at the same time. In the next moment, Cloud let out a sharp, hissing gasp when he felt the General’s warm palm slipping in between his legs. Loose pants or not, it certainly didn’t matter now, because he was instantly almost painfully erect the very second Sephiroth’s hand came into such intimate contact… Only a single layer of thin clothing hindering skin-on-skin touch. When Cloud very obviously did not object, Sephiroth pressed his mouth against his companion’s again, claiming the blonde’s tongue with his own while oh-so-subtly slipping his ungloved hand into the other’s pants. Cloud tried to gasp again, this time into Sephiroth’s mouth, but he was too busy trying to keep up with the General’s forceful kiss, so he deeply moaned in his throat instead. Sephiroth’s long, elegant fingers curled about Cloud’s arousal, while his opposite hand gently but forcibly busied itself with tugging down the blonde’s loose-fitting pants. Completing this with very little trouble, he slowly and gracefully settled himself between Cloud’s legs, still leaning over the young blonde. Only then did he begin a very slow, teasing stroke with his hand on Cloud’s arousal. Letting Cloud’s breath escape him this time, the General broke the kiss and immediately moved down the young blonde’s throat, nipping and suckling gently, working his way very slowly down Cloud’s chest and stomach. Cloud gasped breathlessly and squirmed lightly beneath the silver-haired beauty, trying aimlessly to construct coherent words, but all that would come out were low moans, occasionally accompanied by Sephiroth’s name. After tormenting the blonde’s torso for quite some time, Sephiroth finally ceased the slow stroking of his hand in favor of replacing that hand altogether with his mouth. A sharp, loud, hissing gasp and squeal escaped the blonde, but Sephiroth paid it no mind. Instead, he closed his eyes and purred softly in his throat as he eager suckled on the young Private’s erection. Cloud’s entire body slowly began to flush with arousal, and he tried desperately not to squirm or buck his hips into Sephiroth’s mouth. The attention was so blissful and so torturous at the same time. It was increasingly difficult to hold himself back. Finally, after several minutes, Cloud managed to gasp out breathlessly, “Please…” That single word apparently seemed to satisfy Sephiroth to no end, because he rewarded Cloud by pausing in his efforts to slick two of his fingers and slowly slide them into the blonde’s entrance. Slipping them in, then out again, and repeating the action, he continued to swirl his tongue about the entire length of Cloud’s erection, much the blonde’s delight and torment. Cloud squirmed and begged breathlessly for several minutes before Sephiroth finally decided to oblige him. The General was so quick and so elegant that Cloud barely noticed the switch at first from Sephiroth’s fingers to Sephiroth’s arousal, but once the General’s need brushed up against his prostate, Cloud let out a loud shriek of both slight pain as well as intense pleasure. From then on, Cloud was a heaving, squirming, squealing mass of lust and arousal, eagerly and absently responding to every single one of Sephiroth’s movements. The General’s hips thrust rhythmically, hypnotically, against his own, and he could only faintly hear Sephiroth giving in to soft, low, deeply purring moans of his own. The General’s hand eventually returned to Cloud’s slick, aching erection, and he began to stroke it in perfect time with the thrusts of his hips. Cloud absently wrapped his legs about Sephiroth’s waist and desperately clung to him as he lost himself completely in his ecstasy. It wasn’t long before he gave into an orgasm. His muscles trembled as he spilled the evidence over Sephiroth’s hand and onto his own stomach. Only a few seconds later, he felt Sephiroth’s muscles tighten, and the General tilted his head back and gave in to a deep, growling cry, echoing toward the ceiling as he gave in to his own climax. Cloud fought to catch his breath and regain his sense of reality as he gazed up at the still mostly clothed vision of Sephiroth above him. The General’s impossibly long, silver hair spilled over Sephiroth’s shoulders like spun silk, and even though the silver-haired SOLDIER’s single wing wasn‘t presently visible, Cloud swore he was looking up at an angel. Eventually, Sephiroth returned to reality and slumped over Cloud for a few seconds, regaining his breath. Slowly and carefully removing his highly sensitive and slowly fading erection from Cloud, he allowed himself to gently collapse next to the blonde. Cloud nearly smirked, but when he began to move away, Sephiroth unexpectedly curled an arm about the blonde and pulled him gently but pointedly closer. Cloud smiled lazily and curled up to the General despite himself, lying on his side and resting his head against Sephiroth’s chest, falling silent and listening to the other’s breathing. It was quiet for several minutes as the two men rested and caught their breath. Cloud’s eyes had fallen closed as he listened intently to Sephiroth’s heartbeat. It was somehow different than Zack’s. Just as nice, but different all the same. “Happy birthday, Cloud, darling,” Sephiroth finally murmured, leaning in to brush a light kiss against Cloud’s still dampened forehead. Cloud said nothing at first. Instead, he tilted his head back a little so he could more easier look up at his silver-haired idol, offering him a soft, shy, but grateful smile. Sephiroth lazily returned it and very softly added, “You can stay here with me tonight. Zack will come here when he returns in the morning.” Meanwhile, Cloud had returned his head to its previous position and fluttered his eyes closed. He was very quickly falling asleep. “Thanks, Seph…” he managed to murmur very softly in return. Sephiroth offered a quiet reply, but Cloud didn’t hear him. He had already fallen asleep. He dreamt he was in a field of white and yellow flowers. Among the flowers, silver feathers danced in the breeze. A soft, angelic voice was calling his name. He ran and ran as fast as he could in search of the voice, but it seemed to keep fading. He could hear the growing wind blowing past his ears, and when he glanced down, he realized he wasn’t running anymore… He was flying instead.
