�That�s it, feeling better?�

Blinking his eyes open the blonde found that he was staring back into harsh bright lights again. Squinting his eyes slightly he turned his head to see Kasumi smiling sweetly down at him, lightly stroking his hair.

What�?

He started to sit up but felt a hand push gently against his chest.

�Hey, easy okay, just rest here for a bit,� Kasumi explained before flashing another quick smile as the recruit listened and leaned back on the bed. In a moment she had turned and walked away and Cloud was looking around at the room. It looked familiar, a case of déjà vu maybe? No�wait, wasn�t he just in here?

He suddenly remembered monitors and needles followed by a spinning hallway and his friends concerned voice before�well, he ended up back here. Sitting up fully he clutched the side of the bed as he felt the dizzy sensation overtake him again, though not as strong as it had been previously. He glanced down at his arm and lightly ran his fingers across his skin that was now a mixture of purple and blue in that area. He figured that was where the needle had pierced him, still, he didn�t expect for it to leave a mark though it didn�t hurt or wasn�t sore like he had expected it to be.

�Seems as though you had a stronger reaction to the Mako,� a voice explained catching the boy off guard as he quickly tore his gaze away from his arm to look at who was speaking.

Professor Hojo walked closer towards the blonde as his white lab coat swayed back and forth. His eyes dropped down to the others arm almost instantly, �much stronger indeed.�

Cloud glanced back to his arm and then back to the Professor with a bit of a panicked expression in his eyes. Is something wrong? Was this not suppose to happen? After all he had seen Kyo after he had his infusion, and he didn�t recall seeing any kind of a bruise on him�and he definitely knew that he didn�t pass out.

�You�re fine,� Hojo replied, seeming to know what was already running through the recruits mind, �nothing to worry about.�

Really? Was it so simple? He had been expecting to hear something bad but�if the Professor said he was okay then he guessed he was.

With a sigh of relief Cloud nodded before Kasumi spoke up coming to his side, �will you be okay heading back by yourself? Your friend was here earlier but we sent him back after awhile.�

�Awhile?� The recruit asked while climbing off of the bed, �how long have I been here?�

�A few hours,� Kasumi replied, �it seems as though you really needed to rest.�

Cloud�s eyes widened briefly as he looked at Kasumi and then to Professor Hojo who was scribbling down something in a folder. The blonde still thought it was strange that he had been affected so severely by his infusion but then again he wasn�t the doctor. And Professor Hojo would�ve told him otherwise.

�I think I�ll feel better if I see you back to your room myself,� Kasumi continued with a smile.

�Kasumi,� Hojo began with a bit of a laugh, �I�ve checked him, he�s fine. He�s capable of making it back without a chaperone.�

�I do feel a lot better,� Cloud replied with a nod, more trying to reassure the concerned assistant. It was nice of her to be so caring but he wasn�t a kid and he didn�t need to be escorted back to his room.

�Okay then,� Kasumi began with a nod, �just be careful.�

He nodded once more before looking back to the man, �Thank you sir, sorry for�being an inconvenience.�

�Mm,� Hojo began while adjusting his glasses slightly, �no inconvenience at all. I�m sure I�ll be seeing you again in the future,� he added with a small smile.

�Yeah,� Cloud replied with a smile, �thanks again.� Kasumi saw him to the door and then watched for a while as he made his way down the hallway before finally closing the door and turning with her arms crossed over her chest.

�Professor Hojo,� she hesitated for a moment thinking of the correct wording, �why did you tell him he would be okay?�

�He will be Kasumi,� was the mans even reply.

�Yeah physically, but shouldn�t you have told him that trying out for SOLDIER may be a problem? After all this is the test run, information like that should be told to him,� she explained.

Closing the folder that he had just been writing in Hojo raised his eyes to look at Kasumi over the top of his glasses, �No, it�s to be told to his superiors. They handle it from there, all I am to do is to run the tests and give the results.� Picking up the folder he walked over to the woman, �can you take this to General Sephiroth�s office.� It really wasn�t a question, more of a demand, and as Professor Hojo�s assistant she had to comply.

�Of course professor,� she replied unenthusiastically while taking the folder and exiting the room.

�This written part is going to kill me!� Kyo shouted in frustration while throwing his pencil down on the bed.

Cloud glanced up and shot his friend a strange look before smiling a bit, �Kyo you always get so worked up about the written examinations and you do fine.�

�This is different!� Kyo began while picking up his textbook, �this is for the SOLDIER examination! I have to do good at this, and I can�t even remember the basic element materias! I should know that, you know it don�t you!?�

�Breathe,� Cloud replied with a sigh while getting off of his bed and walking over to his now stressed out friend and picking up his textbook.

It was now Monday, two days after Cloud�s Mako infusion, and this time was being spent on studying for the SOLDIER exams that were coming up at the end of the week. You could literally feel the anxiety of every recruit in the barracks. If they weren�t in their rooms with their faces in a book then they were at the gym or at the fields practicing. This was what you called �time to buckle down� there was no room for messing up on the SOLDIER exam. You got to take it once, and if you didn�t pass that time then you would have to wait a whole other year to take it again. Which meant repeating the class you were currently in while everyone else progressed. Didn�t exactly sound too appealing.

Cloud had forgotten all about the incident on Friday. He felt fine when he left the laboratory and hadn�t thought about it at all, just assuming that he had reacted more strongly to it like the Professor had said. It wasn�t a big deal as far as he was concerned, and was the last thing on his mind at the moment. Besides the small bruise on his arm from where the needle had been injected into had already faded.

�Here,� the blonde began while handing the book back to his roommate after flipping it open to a certain chapter, �this whole page should help you.�

Kyo beamed as Cloud made his way back over to his bed that was covered in textbooks and folders. When it came to studying he knew how to go about it, unlike Kyo. He just hoped he did well on the physical exam because he was pretty sure he would nail the written. A small smile appeared on his face at that thought however. Sephiroth had already told him that if he kept up on the pace he was on that he would definitely make it into SOLDIER. And since then he hadn�t faltered, he was practicing in and out of class. He was nervous about the exam but he had a really good feeling that he would do well on it, though he didn�t want to jinx anything.

A knock at the door caught the blonde�s attention and Kyo mumbled something about not being disturbed, but Cloud simply shook his head at his friend before answering the door. He figured he knew who it was seeing as how all of Kyo�s friends were off studying or practicing�or at least they should�ve been, some of them just may be doing their usual drinking though.

�Hey!� Zack exclaimed once the door was pulled open.

�Hey,� Cloud replied while stepping aside. He hadn�t seen the other for the past few days actually seeing as how Zack had been swamped with work and Cloud had been eagerly studying all weekend.

�Still studying?� Zack asked while stepping inside and glancing at all the books that were strewn across the bed.

�Yeah,� Cloud began with a nod, �exams are this week, I have to make sure I know all the material.�

�I�m sure you already know everything babe,� Zack said before leaning in and placing a kiss on the boys lips before he heard a snicker from another part of the room. His eyes widened and he pulled away from Cloud who was now sporting a blush before turning to see Kyo on the other bed, buried in books of his own.

�Hey Zack,� he replied with a huge grin.

�Hey I, I didn�t know�you were here,� Zack replied while scratching the back of his head in the way he always did when he was uncomfortable or nervous.

�It�s okay,� Cloud spoke while pulling Zack�s arm a bit to regain his attention, �he kind of�already knows about us. But that�s another story.�

�Yeah?� Zack asked while looking at the blonde before glancing back to Kyo who held the same grin on his face, �Oh�okay.� He seriously had no problem with it. He didn�t care who knew about him and Cloud, he wasn�t trying to hide it. Though fact remained that some people would freak out about it and he never wanted to put Cloud in an awkward position. But it looked like Cloud was fine with his roommate knowing so he was fine with that too.

�Did you just want to hang out here? I still have a lot to study for,� Cloud explained while taking a seat on his bed.

�You should take a break,� Zack replied while pushing over some books to make room for himself.

�Should I make myself scarce?� Kyo asked with a raised eyebrow, his grin still plastered on his face.

�Kyo!� Cloud shouted as his cheeks instantly turned red. �Just�keep studying.� He was starting to wonder if Kyo knowing about him and Zack was a bad thing, he would probably tease him all the time about it now.

His roommate only laughed as he went back to his text and Zack couldn�t help but let out a chuckle. The way the two interacted you would think they were brothers or something, and Zack was grateful that Cloud was fortunate to at least have one really good friend around the place�well besides him of course.

�Well?� Zack asked again as Cloud looked over to him.

�I can�t afford a break right now,� the blonde started.

�You have homework?�

�No but I��

�Then you can afford a break,� Zack continued before leaning over and kissing Cloud on the forehead, �right?�

Cloud sighed, why did he even bother to try to argue with Zack? It never worked, he knew that and yet he still tried knowing that he would just give in with a smile or a kiss.

�I�guess, but Zack tomorrow I have to study, and Kyo and I are practicing,� Cloud explained while closing some of his books.

�That�s fine, I can help you two. We can go over some stuff,� Zack replied while standing up with a triumphant smile.

�Really!?� Kyo asked excitedly while jumping back into the conversation, �That would be great!�

�Yeah I don�t mind at all,� Zack said with a smile while Cloud slipped on his shoes and his jacket. They left a few minutes later and walked down the empty halls of the barracks and Cloud felt a bit guilty knowing that he should be studying�then again he did pretty much know all of the textbook material, but still you could never be too safe.

�Relax,� Zack spoke up while ruffling the boys hair, after they had exited the building �you�re going to do fine! And you don�t want to study yourself to death!� He knew just what exactly was running through the recruits mind, it was written all over his face.

�I just,� Cloud began with a sigh. �I don�t want to mess up.�

Zack stopped in his tracks and looked at the recruit who had his gaze downwards. �Hey,� Zack began softly, �you�ll be fine. You made it this far, no room to start doubting yourself now right?�

Looking up Cloud met blue eyes and he instantly felt a little more reassured. Zack was right, it was getting towards the end of the line and now really wasn�t the time to bail or start thinking negatively. �Right,� he replied with a small nod and a smile.

Zack�s grin widened and he kept his eyes fixed on Cloud�s a moment longer. He wasn�t sure, but something seemed�a bit different. He had stared into those blue eyes so many times that he had the vision of them forever embedded in his mind.

The recruit turned his gaze away from the others before speaking up. �Can I ride the motorcycle again?� He asked innocently as he spotted the bike that was parked nearby.

�Sure,� Zack replied while beginning to walk towards the bike. Cloud seemed to light up at that response and in an instant he was on the motorcycle waiting for Zack to climb on. They were gone moments after that, riding down the streets of the city, and surprisingly Cloud was doing a really good job at it. Looks like it didn�t take too many lessons for him to get the hang of it. The whole ride he talked about how he was going to get a motorcycle as soon as he made it to first class SOLDIER and could afford one.

Zack couldn�t help but smile as he listened to the blonde go on and on. He loved it when Cloud would drop his barriers and just live in the moment without being so serious or nervous about things. It was a beautiful thing to hear him laugh genuinely or smile and Zack loved every minute of it. When he thought of how quiet Cloud was at first or how shy or the lack of self esteem he had, he really had to think of if everything now was real or not. When he met the blonde he had made a promise to himself to help the other in succeeding, feeling himself being drawn towards him for some reason, but he had never expected to fall in love so quickly. And now that he had�he couldn�t think of things being any other way.

�We always end up here,� Cloud spoke up while turning off the motorcycle once they had stopped.

Zack blinked, snapping out of his thoughts as he looked around before a grin appeared on his face. �Well yeah, it�s officially our spot now,� he explained while hopping off the bike.

�Yeah, looks like it,� Cloud replied while following after Zack as they made their way up to the brick wall near the ocean.

�Why do you like it here so much?� Zack asked once they reached the wall, �You really don�t like the city do you?�

�I do like the city,� Cloud said, though it didn�t sound to convincing.

�Do you?� Zack asked with a raised eyebrow.

�I mean,� Cloud began while leaning on the wall, �I do but�sometimes it�s just to fast paced for me,� he explained with a shrug, �It�s not like back at home. It was more simple�quiet. Not that I miss it though,� he quickly added.

Zack nodded. Talking about Cloud�s home and his past was always sort of a touchy subject, and while he had told him a lot about it Zack was sure there were some things that he had left out, things that were too painful to be spoken. And he respected that, he understood without him having to say anything.

�Of course not, with me here how could you miss home?� Zack asked playfully, trying to turn the subject off from something that may dampen Cloud�s mood.

Cloud laughed a bit while shaking his head, �don�t go inflating your ego.�

�Aww,� Zack began with a hurt expression on his face while tapping the other a few times, �come on admit it!�

�Stop it,� Cloud replied while batting away the others hands, though the playfulness in his voice was evident. �You know you act like a little kid right?�

�Kid? Maybe you just act like an old man!� Zack teased while continuing to tap the other.

�That�s mature,� Cloud replied while moving away from the wall and blocking some of Zack�s advances.

�You got to be faster than that,� Zack said while trying to hit the other, though Cloud kept on blocking him.

�You haven�t landed one,� the blonde said with a chuckle.

�Oh?� Zack began while stopping, �I was just going easy on you. But come on let�s see what you�ve got, it�s been a while since we�ve practiced.�

Cloud blinked, before a smirk appeared on his face and he backed away a bit, �really? No holding back?�

�No, let�s see what you�ve got kid,� Zack continued while waving his hands towards him, motioning for Cloud to try to attack.

This�ll be interesting. It had been a while since Cloud and Zack had trained together and Cloud was wondering just how well he had improved and if he could in fact show up Zack.

Not hesitating for a moment Cloud had leaped at the other and threw a hit which Zack dodged effortlessly, but Cloud was right back at him with another attack. They went back and forth for a while and surprisingly enough, Cloud had landed one hit, which was one more than he landed throughout the whole time they had trained together. His speed had definitely increased and he didn�t seem as nervous about his moves, they just seemed to flow freely, something that Zack had been trying to instill in him since the beginning. But though Cloud�s speed had increased Zack was still faster and was still able to dodge everything pretty easily. However Cloud did give a good show. The blonde went to attack once more but Zack simply pivoted and Cloud stumbled forward a bit before he felt arms wrap around from behind to balance him.

�Much faster,� Zack began, �but not fast enough. I win.�

Sighing, Cloud relaxed in the SOLDIERS arms, trying to catch his breath, �whatever, I got you once.�

�Yeah,� Zack replied with a soft chuckle, �and looks like I got you too,� he added while speaking into the boys ear.

Cloud smiled while shutting his eyes briefly, �that�s fine with me.�

They stayed that way for a moment longer as Zack nuzzled his face against the side of Cloud�s neck. The recruit turned around in his embrace and wrapped his arms around his waist, burying his face in the others chest. Zack smiled as he tightened his hold on the boy. He noticed that Cloud loved to do that, and it made him smile every time he did. It made him feel like the blonde felt safe there in his arms, which he was. Zack wanted to protect him from anything and everything that may harm the other, and he would do that without hesitation. It was strange how something so simple made him happy, and yet not strange at all. Glancing up at the starlit night sky Zack let out a sigh while running a hand through the recruits blonde spikes.

�It�s getting close to curfew,� Zack spoke softly, not really wanting to spoil the moment but not wanting to risk having Cloud get in trouble.

�Mm,� Cloud began while lifting his head to look up at the other, �I don�t have my first class tomorrow morning. I�ll just stay over at your place.�

Zack smiled, �Sounds good.� He continued stroking the boys hair as he held his gaze. Yeah, there was definitely something different about Cloud�s eyes. He had thought he noticed something earlier, but now looking at them when it was fully dark out it was perfectly noticeable. They resembled his, not just in color but�the glow.

�How did your infusion on Friday go?� Zack asked curiously while still looking into his boyfriends eyes.

�Oh, yeah I meant to tell you� Cloud began before shaking his head, �not to well at first but�things were fine later.�

�What do you mean not to well?� Zack asked, eagerly wanting to know more about the situation.

�Well,� the blonde started, �afterwards I felt a bit dizzy, but I thought that was to be expected. But then when I left and Kyo and I were heading back it got a little more intense and I ended up passing out.�

�What?� Zack began a little surprised as his eyes searched the others. �Yeah,� the recruit continued, �but when I woke up Professor Hojo just said that I had a stronger reaction towards it. He said I would be fine.�

�Did he say anything else?�

�No, he just said I didn�t have anything to worry about ,� Cloud explained. �It�s not a big deal, everything�s okay,� he added upon seeing the worried expression on Zack�s face.

Blinking, Zack nodded, �good.� He put on his usual grin, more for Cloud�s sake so that the boy wouldn�t think there was something wrong. But�there was something wrong. With a reaction like that? That wasn�t normal, not from just a test run, not from such a small dosage. And Cloud�s eyes? Did the blonde notice? Maybe not, maybe he had been so wrapped up in the upcoming exams that he hadn�t paid much attention. But they shouldn�t have held the glow of Mako like that, it was faint but still noticeable to the trained eye. It took the SOLDIER to have a higher amount of Mako injected before his eyes changed even the slightest ,but definitely not just after a test run. And sure he had felt a bit dizzy and had a headache for maybe an hour or so, but that was about it. Something was�off. Either Cloud wasn�t telling him everything, and he was certain that wasn�t it, or the blonde didn�t know to the full extent of what the problem was.

Pulling the boy tighter Zack only hoped that he was wrong about what he was thinking. Hopefully Cloud was right and when Professor Hojo had told him things were okay, they really were okay. Because if not�no, Zack couldn�t bring himself to think of the latter.

Gentle fingers on the side of his face tore him away from his thoughts and he found himself staring into the now glowing blue eyes of the blonde. Cloud gave a small smile before pulling himself up a bit to place a light kiss on the others lips. Zack could barely feel it, and for a moment he wasn�t even sure if the blonde had really kissed him or not. But he seemed to be more focused on the sweet smile that the boy had on his face. He loved to see Cloud smile, he couldn�t handle it if he never saw it again. And if things with his test results interfered with his examinations, he was sure that�no. He didn�t want to think about it, he couldn�t. He couldn�t let his doubts and worries rub off onto Cloud, he was happy right now and he, well�he wanted to keep it that way. Besides, he was probably worrying over nothing.

�Zack?� Cloud asked while raising an eyebrow, �how did it get�worse in here?� They had just gotten back to the SOLDIERS apartment and had stepped foot into the bedroom, and while Zack�s room was never �tidy� to begin with, it looked like it had somehow gotten even worse to the blonde�s dismay.

�I know I know,� Zack began while shoving some clothes off of the bed and onto the equally messy floor, �but I�ve been busy, doesn�t leave much time to clean.�

Kicking at some items on the floor to clear a path Cloud made his way over to the bed before shooting Zack a �whatever you say� look.

�Really,� Zack continued with a grin after he decided he had cleared the bed good enough for the two of them. �I would clean it up now, but unlike you I still have to get up early in the morning,� he explained while flopping down on the bed.

�Sure,� Cloud began with a bit of a laugh while climbing in beside the other, �what are you doing in the morning anyway, another meeting?�

�No,� Zack replied, �later in the day yeah, but I have watch duty before that.�

�Oh,� Cloud responded with a bit of a nod before glancing away and becoming silent. He shifted as he went to pull the blankets back, preparing to slide under the covers until he felt a hand on top of his. Stopping his movements he glanced up to see Zack giving him a questioning look.

�Do you go down to the bottom plate for that?� Cloud asked while still keeping his gaze locked with the others.

Zack remained silent as he just shook his head, �why?�

The blonde shrugged, �just wondering,� he said softly while continuing to slide under the covers.

Zack continued to watch the other as he moved about in the bed trying to get comfortable. He didn�t know why but it seemed like suddenly there was something bothering Cloud, something on his mind, but like usual he didn�t exactly voice it. However he could still tell something was up.

�Cloud?� Zack finally asked when Cloud had ceased his movement.

�Have you seen her since�well the last time?� Looking up a bit hesitantly Cloud found his eyes staring back into Zack�s.

Oh, so that�s it, Zack thought to himself. They had moved on from the whole �ex girlfriend Aerith thing,� but he could understand Cloud maybe still feeling a little nervous about things. After all Aerith did stay in Midgar, so the chances of running into her really weren�t that slim. But even if he did Cloud didn�t have to worry about anything, he understood that didn�t he?

�No,� Zack replied after a moment with a shake of his head, �she�s my past. I don�t have a reason to see her.�

�I know,� Cloud replied quickly while letting his gaze fall to the covers, �I just thought�maybe you would see her, if you were down on the bottom plate.� It wasn�t that he didn�t trust Zack or anything, it�s just that he thought that maybe they would�ve remained friends. After all, Aerith seemed like she cared a lot about Zack and he wasn�t sure if she could entirely let that go. And he really didn�t even want them to be friends� was that selfish? He didn�t know, but he wasn�t about to question any of that, and besides Zack didn�t know that Cloud had even met her. The ex meeting the now boyfriend�yeah, it was a kind of strange scenario.

�Cloud?� Zack began softly while lightly running his fingers through the silky golden spikes of the boy. Tearing his eyes away from the blankets Cloud looked up to the other before soft, warm lips were pressed against his own. Before he could even get a chance to react to it however Zack had pulled away.

�Sorry,� Cloud mumbled. He didn�t mean to be paranoid or anything, he was just well�wondering. But Zack was right, she was the past and he shouldn�t even bother with wasting time on those thoughts. Zack was here, with him, and that was all that mattered.

�Don�t be,� Zack replied softly before leaning in again to kiss the blonde. Cloud instantly closed his eyes and this time pressed more into it, moving his lips eagerly against Zack�s before opening his mouth when he felt a warm tongue glide over his lips. He fisted a hand into the raven locks of the SOLDIER as they deepened the kiss. It was these kisses that made Cloud feel light headed, and even now they still had that same effect and left him craving and wanting more. He moaned softly, slightly muffled because of the kiss as Zack pulled him closer towards him before rolling them slightly so that the blonde was beneath him.

They kissed for a lot longer, time seeming to be irrelevant in that moment, it didn�t matter to either of them, the only thing that mattered was each other. They only separated when they needed air, and even then they kept the contact going by showering each other with small kisses. Zack hesitated for a moment before snaking a hand under the boys shirt. Sure yeah he had done it not to long ago and it was okay, but also shortly after that Cloud had stopped it�not in a forward way, but still it wasn�t that hard to notice. But Zack decided it was time to be daring, he wouldn�t do anything that Cloud was uncomfortable with, and if the blonde told him to stop Shiva only knows he would in an instant�but maybe Cloud wouldn�t stop him. Groaning a bit into the kiss Zack only hoped that the recruit wouldn�t, he had to admit that his desire for the blonde was only increasing as the days went on and it was taking a lot more will power to stop himself from doing things to him in reality that he had already done to him in his mind.

Cloud squirmed a little at the feeling of Zack�s hand on his skin, it wasn�t an unpleasant feeling though, each caress made a shiver run through him and he pulled the teen closer to him, wanting to get more of the feeling. He didn�t even realize that his hands had began to wander themselves, although cautiously. But they had left their safe zone and in a moment they were exploring more.

Zack figured that was a good sign and continued on as he allowed his hand to move upwards more before his fingers lightly grazed a nipple.

Gasping from the contact Cloud quickly pulled away from the kiss. Though it wasn�t because he was upset, it was more just out of surprise and nervousness.

Their eyes locked after that, the only sound in the room was their heavy breathing, as no words remained to be spoken. They didn�t really need to say anything, their eyes said everything for them. The same feelings that Cloud had seemed to only be mirrored in Zack�s and the other way around. All of the love, desire and lust was clearly noticeable in each of their gazes and Cloud felt his face heat up again, though he was determined to not let his shyness and nervousness get in the way this time.

�Do you trust me?� Zack asked softly, in a tone that Cloud had never heard before and it somehow gave him goose bumps.

He felt his heart beat quicken as he continued to stare into Zack�s eyes, something about it making him feel both excited and terrified. �Yes,� he replied just as softly with a short nod of his head.

Zack smiled, not in his usual huge grin way, there was more behind it this time though it was subtle. A feeling of emotion that the blonde hadn�t noticed before and it made butterflies appear in his stomach. When Zack pressed his lips against his again he was desperate for it. For the taste, the feeling of his tongue, the way his mouth moved against his. He let out a moan right before making a small sound of protest when Zack pulled away.

�Just a second babe,� Zack began with a smirk while looking down at the confused blonde. He reached for the bottom of Cloud�s shirt and pulled it up slowly before looking at Cloud for approval just in case. Cloud gave the slightest of a nod before sitting up a bit so that it would make taking of his shirt easier. In a second it was cast away among all of the other articles of clothing that littered the ground. Zack was pushing him back on the bed in an instant and placing kisses all over his face, before moving to his neck. He dipped his tongue into the hollow part of the recruits neck causing him to let out a gasp. Continuing he lead a trail of kisses downwards across his chest and to his abdomen before making his way back up and placing his lips over a nipple and taking into his mouth.

�Zack,� Cloud breathed, his voice almost breaking and getting caught in his throat for a moment.

Zack couldn�t help but smile at that, already Cloud�s reactions were proving to be fun and he desperately wanted nothing more than to see what else he could illicit from the boy. He continued to work his mouth over the area, licking and rolling his tongue around the now hardened flesh while letting his teeth graze over it just a bit. Not wanting to neglect the blonde in any way he made his way over to the other side and mimicked the actions.

Cloud was squirming a lot beneath him but not in any way that suggested he was trying to push away the SOLDIER. His breathing was becoming a bit more fast and in shallow pants and every so often he would let out a small whimper.

Letting the recruits responses guide him Zack pulled away briefly only to continue to lead kisses back down his abdomen while allowing his hands to follow shortly thereafter. He committed every touch to memory, from the slender form of his chest to the firm but still developing muscles of his stomach and his slender waist. Zack knew that Cloud always was insecure about his size and such, he was definitely smaller than most of the trainee�s and didn�t have muscle bulging everywhere, but he was still young, and Zack knew that that would come in time. But regardless of any of that Cloud was beautiful. Sure maybe he didn�t realize it, but it was true and Zack was only confirming that now by the way his eyes had begun to look over him. Blue eyes met his briefly but then quickly looked away in embarrassment. Never had he had Zack�s gaze on him so intensely and it made him blush even more. It was understandable, he was nervous, bottom line. All of this was new to him.

Pulling himself up a bit Zack leaned down so that he was just inches away from the others face, �I love you so much,� he said softly while touching his nose to the blonde�s for a moment. Cloud immediately snapped his eyes back up to look at Zack, as a small smile spread across his face and only the emotion of pure happiness was visible in his glowing eyes.

�I love you too,� he replied in a voice just above a whisper as he touched his lips to Zack�s. And in that kiss it seemed like they were totally connected. Not that there hadn�t been a bond there before, but it just completed things somewhat and seemed to put the recruit more at ease. This wasn�t just some meaningless experience that was going on, or some senseless dirty act, no�it was much more. And it was that pure raw emotion that was feeding his desire.

Cloud was so entangled in their kiss and the feel of Zack�s hands running over his body that he had to mentally tell himself to pull away so that he could breathe, but that didn�t stop Zack from kissing him wherever his lips happened to land. He couldn�t describe the feeling that was coursing throughout him, but he just knew that he didn�t want it to stop and wanted more of it�and it looked like his body was also agreeing that it wanted more. But when Zack pressed himself closer against him he could see that he wasn�t the only one. He let out a gasp at the same time Zack did as their arousals rubbed against each other through the thin material of the fabric. He moaned softly and briefly closed his eyes, just that touch alone was enough to drive him crazy. He nearly cried out when Zack grinded his body against his again and found that his hips lifted up from off the bed on their own, seeking more of that contact that he was so desperately craving.

A smirk played across the SOLDIERS features as he moved down a bit. If Cloud liked that then he was sure he was going to love what else he had in mind. Crawling down the boys body he placed a light kiss on his stomach before dipping his tongue into his navel.

Cloud let out a yelp while squirming a bit and Zack couldn�t help but to repeat the action a few times before he felt a hand in his hair followed by an almost begging plea of his name. Looked like he had found a ticklish spot, he was definitely going to have to remember that for later he thought to himself with a bit of a chuckle . He instead opted to place a few more kisses on his stomach as he fidgeted with the waistband of the blonde�s pants before tugging them down a bit. Once he had gotten them off successfully he proceeded to the boxers, not making any moves to remove them at the moment but instead stroking him lightly, almost teasingly through the material.

�Nngh Zack!� Cloud cried out while tensing for a moment.

That was what the raven haired youth wanted to hear, there was something about Cloud screaming his name that just appealed to him�and he definitely wanted to hear that over and over again before the night was out, and he was sure that could be arranged. Not wanting to tease him too much Zack finally removed the boxers, tossing them aside like the other garments.

Cloud instantly pulled himself together, drawing his legs closed and scrunching up a bit before he felt his face go bright red. That was�it. No more clothes for him to hide behind, he was all out and there for the other to see. Every inch of naked skin exposed and every flaw visible.

�Cloud,� Zack began softly while pressing a kiss to the blonde�s knee, trying to make him comfortable again and draw him out of the little cocoon that he had made. �It�s okay, you don�t have anything to be embarrassed about, you�re beautiful,� he finished while gently running his fingers along the side of the others thigh.

Letting out a breath that he hadn�t even been aware that he was holding, he slowly relaxed while shifting just a bit. The honesty and comfort that was held in Zack�s tone helped to calm him down and he was grateful for that.

Smiling Zack took Cloud�s actions as a sign that it was okay to move on and he gently moved the boys legs apart before moving down to place a few kisses on the inside of the others thigh. He reveled in how soft the skin was there and continued on.

Cloud closed his eyes as he fisted his hands into the bed covers and drowned in the feeling. It was still a bit strange to have someone touch him so intimately�but nice. He didn�t know what else Zack had planned but so far he seemed to be doing everything right. Cloud really didn�t have the slightest inkling about things like this. Naïve? Maybe, or maybe just sheltered. Though coming to the city had definitely educated him on a few things. Still however it wasn�t much, and seeing as how this was his first time, he only learned each thing as Zack showed him. A part of him was upset about his inexperience�but then again he was enjoying learning.

�Zack!� The blonde cried as his eyes flew open.

Zack made a bit of a humming sound as he took Cloud�s length into his mouth, knowing that the vibrations would drive the other crazy.

�Oh god,� Cloud exhaled while tightening his grip on the blankets.

Swirling his tongue around the tip he made his way further down and ran his tongue along the bottom before moving back up and then down again.

Cloud was now moaning a bunch of incoherencies as he squirmed around, his hips lifting from off of the bed in an almost violent, jerking motion.

Placing his hands on the blonde�s hips to hold him in place Zack continued on sucking a bit harder than before and just lightly grazing his teeth over the sensitive flesh.

�Zack,� the recruit breathed shakily while biting his lip and letting his eyes roll back. The feeling was incredible, actually even incredible didn�t do it justice, it was just�indescribable. He wasn�t even aware that someone could make him feel this way by doing�well that with their mouth.

Lifting his head a bit Cloud glanced down to see Zack�s head bobbing up and down, the sight only pushing him closer to the edge.

�Zack,� Cloud began while reaching a hand down and entangling it in the SOLDIERS locks. He knew he was starting to lose composure and it wouldn�t take long if Zack kept up like this. But Zack only took this as encouragement and continued on, speeding up his movements.

�Zack!� Cloud cried again, this time his voice a bit more panicked and his hand tightening in the others hair �Please, stop, I-I�m�s,stop!�

If it hadn�t been for Cloud now tugging at the others hair pretty hard, he probably wouldn�t have pulled away. But he figured that was better, after all he had other things planned and he couldn�t have Cloud getting tired out just yet. He licked his lips, the taste of the other still lingering as he moved back up, settling himself in between Cloud�s legs with a mischievous grin on his face.

The blonde was still breathing heavily, his cheeks fully flushed and his eyes half lidded. Zack didn�t even try to suppress the groan that escaped from him, the sight of the boy this way was just unbelievably sexy. In a second Cloud had crushed their lips together in a heated kiss as his hands roamed over his body�but there was something wrong with the picture here. He began tugging at Zack�s shirt, lifting it as much as it could go before disengaging their mouths so that it could be taken off fully. It was carelessly tossed aside and Cloud�s eyes fell onto the other. He had seen Zack without his shirt on before, but he had never really gotten to touch him. To run his fingers across his chiseled chest and abdomen, and that was exactly what he was going to do now. He couldn�t seem to tear his eyes away from the other as he gazed at him which could only be described as lust. Zack was the beautiful one, the sexy one, and even now he still wondered why someone as gorgeous as the SOLDIER would want to be with him. But�Zack did, and for some reason Zack loved him, and he wasn�t about to question it. It was what it was, and Cloud had to thank whatever god out there for letting them find each other.

Drawing the other back down Cloud pressed their lips together. Zack was a bit shocked at Cloud�s actions, for the most part so far he had been a little shy and just let the other control things. But Zack was in no way complaining about him taking some initiative.

They held their kiss, lips moving eagerly against other and tongues twining as Zack reached down to discard his own pants. He didn�t want to rush things, but right now he just wanted to feel Cloud�s body pressed against his, all of that warm soft skin against his own. Within seconds he had rid himself of both his pants and his boxers and had his body pressed fully against Cloud�s. A pleasant shiver ran through both of them and Cloud gave the softest moan before wrapping his arms around Zack, his hands trailing up and down his back.

Zack moaned into the boys mouth as he felt every touch and every caress, a warmness was building up inside his stomach and the beating of his heart seemed to match the throbbing of his arousal. He needed Cloud, he needed to be inside of him, to be encased in the warmth and tightness. Just thinking about it made him shudder.

�Cloud,� Zack began between kisses, his voice husky �I want to feel all of you�will you let me?�

All of me? Cloud couldn�t help but feel confused for a minute. Wasn�t this already all of him? Then it hit him suddenly. He didn�t exactly know too much about sex with a guy, though he knew enough he guessed. Most of the things he had just heard from being around his classmates and such since coming to Midgar, however most things that were said were pretty crude. But he did know some basics. He might�ve been a bit naïve and innocent but he wasn�t stupid.

�Yes, I trust you,� he confirmed again softly, though the nervousness was laced in his voice. But he meant what he said, he trusted Zack.

�Okay,� Zack replied before kissing him once more, pulling away and moving over to the side of the bed where he leaned over and opened a drawer of his dresser.

Cloud was still feeling tingly with the sensations of everything before and was trying to calm his breathing. He didn�t like the feeling of the cool air on him now and instead wanted Zack�s warm body against his again. He turned his head and watched the other as he went through the drawer wondering what it was that he needed.

Zack was back in a second and was holding something in his hands and Cloud raised an eyebrow. He heard the sound of a cap clicking open and watched as Zack squeezed what looked like some kind of gel onto his fingers.

�Zack?� The blonde asked with a confused expression on his face.

Zack grinned, �It just makes this easier,� he replied while dropping the tube onto the bed.

Cloud followed the tube with his eyes before placing his eyes back on Zack�s fingers that were coated with whatever stuff it was that was in there.

�This might feel a little strange but it makes it better,� Zack explained while settling between his legs.

Now that Zack was getting ready to do something Cloud was beginning to feel a bit scared. He leaned up a bit trying to look at what the other was doing.

�Just relax okay,� Zack began soothingly while kissing the boys knee. He could tell Cloud was getting nervous by the look in his eyes.

Sighing the blonde laid back, his head resting on the pillow as he looked up at the ceiling trying to take his mind off of what was going on.

The bed shifted just a bit when Zack moved and Cloud bolted upright again, his eyes wide with uncertainty swirling in the blue depths. �D-does it hurt?�

Zack ached at the question, the look in Cloud�s eyes only making him feel even worse. He seemed so scared, and Zack didn�t want to hurt him. �At first yeah,� Zack replied softly, �but if we�re careful maybe not. And I promise I�ll be careful.�

�the only thing Cloud heard was �yeah.�

�Babe,� Zack began while placing a kiss on his lips, �it�s okay, we don�t have to do this now if you don�t want. There�s no rush,� he explained after seeing the worried almost fearful expression on his boyfriends face. It was after all Cloud�s first time and he didn�t want him to do anything he wasn�t comfortable with.

�No,� Cloud began with a shake of his head, �I want to,� he laid back slowly on the bed, �It�s okay.�

Zack hesitated for a moment before nodding, �Okay.�

Cloud squeezed his eyes closed as he clutched onto the blankets again, trying to brace himself for whatever was to come. He felt a slick finger pressing against his entrance and he immediately tensed. Not because it hurt, it hadn�t even gotten far enough to tell yet, but it just felt�a bit strange.

�Cloud,� Zack�s voice came again and the blonde opened his eyes slowly, �you have to relax, it�ll make it harder if you don�t.�

�I am� Cloud shot back a bit defensively. Honestly, it was kind of hard to relax on demand, especially when there were things going on down below that you weren�t too familiar with.

He gasped a bit when he felt a warm hot mouth back over his neglected arousal, and a warm tongue licking at the tip. He felt something pressing down there again and shifted a bit before letting out a sound of discomfort that was tinged with a moan. Zack�s mouth retreated from him finally and Cloud continued to squirm a bit, trying to get used to the feeling. But he had to admit that was one hell of a distraction.

�You okay?� Zack asked while lightly stroking the boys thigh with his other hand.

�Yeah,� Cloud replied with a bit of a nod. Actually, that hadn�t been to bad after all.

He felt the finger begin to move back and forth and he made an indistinct sound before Zack was pushing in a second finger. That one wasn�t so bad either and when Zack moved them around inside him it wasn�t so bad. But when Zack inserted a third finger�Cloud wasn�t liking that too much.

�Uhn!� He gasped while clenching his eyes shut and tugging at the bed covers. It was a mixture between pain and discomfort, he didn�t know which was overruling which, but right about now he thought he would be pretty safe with pain.

Zack was moving his fingers inside him, pressing deeper as they shifted and turned.

�Ah! Zack!� He cried in discomfort as he squirmed around a bit more. He didn�t like this.

�Shh it�s okay, I know,� Zack said soothingly while keeping his fingers working. He was so close, he knew that with just another move of his fingers he would be able to make Cloud scream. To reach that spot inside him that would make him go blind with pleasure.

�Ngh! Oh god!!�

Bingo.

Moving his fingers more Zack stroked the core of his lover, making him go crazy in pleasure. The discomfort was probably inevitable but he was hoping that this would make it worth it to Cloud.

Zack could barely hold on any longer, hearing Cloud moan and scream this way, and watching the way his face expressions changed into expressions of ecstasy. The way his pink bruised kissed lips would form into that erotic O, and the way his eyes closed hiding those brilliant blue eyes behind a curtain of golden lashes�yes, he definitely wanted him now.

Withdrawing his fingers Cloud let out a strangled gasp as he relaxed against the bed once more as Zack shifted, changing his position just a bit before looking into Cloud�s eyes.

They didn�t say anything, there was no verbal �warnings� of what was about to come. There was something exchanged in their gaze and Cloud simply nodded, his breath still ragged.

Zack positioned himself as Cloud wrapped his arms tightly around his neck, slightly shaking from both nervousness and anticipation. He felt Zack�s hardened flesh pushing against him and he quickly sucked in a breath as it continued to press more barely just entering before Cloud let out a whimper.

�It�s okay babe, relax, it�s okay,� Zack spoke, his voice both full with lust and also concern. He stopped for a moment and then he was pushing again and Cloud was trying hard to relax but�damn, this wasn�t a finger.

�Zack!� He shrieked in pain while clutching onto the SOLDIER and closing his eyes tightly.

�I know babe, just try to relax okay, I promise it�ll be over soon,� Zack continued trying hard to comfort his lover and feeling guilty at the same time. He couldn�t stand the fact that he was hurting the other for his own pleasure, and yet he knew there was no other way around it.

Cloud was trying his hardest not to seem weak but he couldn�t help it, it hurt, it hurt bad! But, he told Zack he trusted him and he did, and if he said that it would be over soon then the blonde guessed he would just have to take it.

Zack had stopped again and then continued, he was almost there, but he didn�t want to rush, he didn�t want to hurt Cloud more than he already had.

Keeping his eyes squeezed tight the recruit felt a single tear roll down his face as he felt Zack push deeper and deeper until he was all the way inside. Cloud let out a gasp and Zack gave a low growl.

�Are you okay?� Zack asked again while pulling back a bit to look at the blonde, wiping away the lone tear before kissing him all over his face.

�Yeah,� Cloud replied shakily, thankful for the kisses that Zack was placing on him. It made him feel safe and cared for and somehow that made him feel better, and took his mind away from the pain that he still felt lingering. They stayed that way for a moment allowing themselves to adjust to the feeling of one body inside another. After a few moments Zack moved experimentally, pulling out just a bit and pushing back inside gently, not wanting to cause Cloud any more pain. The blonde let out a small moan, though it didn�t sound as distressed or painful as some of his previous ones had been, so Zack took that as a good sign as he continued to move inside the other working his hips against his.

The pain was still there, but faintly, and another feeling was starting to replace it. Moving his hips upward trying to get more of it he let out another moan at the feeling of Zack�s hips moving against his. They seemed to be a perfect fit and already they were finding a rhythm that they both fell into quickly as their bodies melded together. Cloud tightened his grip on Zack as he wrapped his legs around his waist wanting to be as close as possible to the other. Soon it was just the friction of their bodies moving together, and the soft pants and moans that were starting to fill the air along with the occasional creak of the bed. Sweat began to form on their bodies as they continued to move together, the once soft moans becoming slightly louder as a few words of endearment were exchanged while mouths crushed together. Waves of mind numbing sensations washed over them as their heart beats quickened. They were on the edge, building up higher and higher, it wouldn�t be long until they fell into a pure utopia oblivion.

�Zack!� Cloud moaned as the SOLDIER continued to pound him into the mattress. The blonde was still clutching onto the other but he felt himself beginning to slip because of the sweat that was accumulating on each of them, but he just held on tighter, he needed to be close, as close as possible.

Zack was reaching his limit, he could feel it, but he didn�t want to leave the other behind. He knew Cloud was close too from the way he was writhing beneath him. He reached down between them without ceasing his movement and wrapped his hand around his lover, stroking him in time with their movements.

Moans and cries were falling freely from the blonde�s lips now, toes curling and fingers clenching. Zack was practically crushing the boy to the bed his hand pumping him faster.

The blonde felt a surge of pleasure course throughout his body, before another, and then he was tossing his head back practically screaming the others name as his back arched, chest pressed up against his lover. He felt each thrust of Zack�s after that strongly and let out a few soft whimpers as Zack continued to drive into him. Then finally Zack was letting go of his own release as his body shuddered and he closed his eyes tightly. �Cloud,� he gasped.

They were silent for a moment and didn�t move and the only sound was their heavy breathing as they slowly came back to reality. Then Zack shifted to pull free earning a soft moan from the other as he slid his arms off from around the SOLDIERS neck. Zack fell onto the bed beside him feeling totally spent but satisfied beyond belief. He reached out and drew the sweaty boy towards him as he wrapped his arms around him. Nuzzling up to his side Zack placed a kiss on top of damp blonde spikes before stroking them softly.

This moment was something to be cherished, the aftermath of it all. And they both knew it and were simply basking in the moment.

�That was,� Cloud began sleepily breaking the silence.

�I know,� Zack finished while shutting his eyes allowing his usual grin to appear back on his face.

Cloud let out a content sigh as he felt his eyes close, sleep slowly overtaking him.

�You should trust me more often,� Zack continued with a sleepy chuckle and the blonde poked him in his side. Less than five minutes after their lovemaking and Zack was back at the jokes, really, the blonde wouldn�t have expected anything else.

�Actually I think I�m fine with that,� Cloud replied with a smile while lifting his head to look up at the other.

�Good to know,� Zack responded before kissing the other gently. Once they broke their kiss Zack moved to reach down for the covers draping it over the two of them before wrapping his arms back around the blonde. Sleep was calling to them now, and there in each others arms, it was gladly accepted.

�That�s terrible! Your form is all wrong!�

�What!?� Jin shrieked while narrowing his eyes.

�You heard me!� Sergeant Okuda shouted back, �What the hell have you been doing with all of your time?�

Running a hand over his face in aggravation Jin sighed. �I�ve been practicing, I�m just tired,� he glanced at his watch, �it�s four in the morning!�

�You need all the practice you can get!� Okuda shouted while crossing his arms over his chest, �at this rate you won�t pass the SOLDIER examination.�

�I will pass!� Jin corrected while glaring at his instructor.

�You better, I won�t have my son being some worthless nobody in Shinra,� Okuda explained, �you should be top in the class.�

�I am!� Jin yelled while waving the wooden practice sword he had been holding.

�Were,� the Sergeant continued, �according to General Sephiroth it�s Strife.�

Jin was silent for a moment as he looked down.

�So what, you�re going to let some little runt outshine you?� Okuda continued.

�I have a week left till the examinations,� Jin started while glancing back up, �I�ll prove to them I�m better.�

�That�s what I want to hear,� the man replied with a nod before turning and walking out of the gym leaving the boy behind to continue his practice.

Jin instantly fell onto the blue mat staring up at the ceiling. He was too tired to keep going, but with exams at the end of the week he had to keep pushing. Not really for him so much but for his dad. It was unacceptable to waste any time on other things if it wasn�t practicing, and he wouldn�t have his son be out bested by a runt. But he guessed when you were the son of a Sergeant in Shinra Military you had to go the extra mile�even if you really didn�t want to.
