Not To Be Tampered With

Chapter 3

When does the Action Start? It'll probably start around chapters 4 or 5...I'm trying to actually write a story and not pwp...okay? lol...

I'm also posting this story on Fanfiction.net for the younger audiences who can't go onto this website...lol
so I'll do like...alternate chapters or something...
of course...depending on how many reviews I get on each website would depend on how fast the chapters do come out...and so far...fanfiction.net is kind of winning. lmao...

but either way...both websites will still be receiving their chapters. Meh...I'm not really that great at writing sex scenes...(don't worry, there aren't any in this chapter...probably next chapter or the one after that...or something)

Explanation for the A/N’s in the last chapter: yea, it was too short and yea…it kinda sucked ASS!! But seriously, I was so fucking hyper! That would explain the massive amount of A/N’s. Don’t tell me: “Well, uh, I prefer it if you just didn’t…” coz I’m going to be putting them in. okay!!!

And as you can tell, I don’t really like Barret all that much. Nor do I like Aeris (she’s too ‘perfect’…she reminds me of a Mary Sue)…But I LURV Tifa x Yuffie stuffs! So cute! Anyhow…

-1-

Zack was ready…well he thought he was ready anyway.

Sword? Check.

Cloud? Check.

Items? Check.

Cloud? Check.

Armour and accessories? Check?

Cloud? Check…and he was a very lethargic Cloud as well. It was so cute…in a friendly way, of course. Yes, very friendly. Well, Zack didn’t know. He was just confused, and all the confusion made his stomach feel weird. It was warm and it felt as if frogs were hopping in there. He didn’t appreciate the feeling really, because he was afraid Cloud would somehow notice. He was afraid Cloud would see through him…

But there wasn’t anything to see! As if Zack really felt that way, especially about his best friend! But Cloud was cute and…and…oh, but thinking like this was too messed up! Rationalize yourself Zack!

“Cloud?” Zack asked conversationally. Cloud jerked his head up like a frightened mouse.

“Y-yea?” Cloud attempted to hide a wince he made.

“You ready?”

“Y-yeah, I just—”

“Yo, noobs,” Barret came between the two. “The train’s comin’ y’all. You best get your asses inline before I get’em inline for ya.”

“Right,” Zack put an arm around his friend, and Cloud didn’t seem to mind. Not that he should, for it was just a friendly gesture. It’s not like he minded before. Why was Zack getting so paranoid? He didn’t need to be; Zack and Cloud are best friends after all… “C’mon Cloud.” Cloud mumbled a yes, and they watched as the train halted to a stop before them. The intolerable noise of the metal wheels screeching against the metal track was heard, and Cloud just winced at it.

“Ah, the sound of the passage to revenge!” Jesse exclaimed excitedly. She went up to Zack and Cloud and handed them two passenger cards…fake ID’s to be more accurate. “Take these,” she said.

They walked into the train, Jesse first, with Barret following after, along with Biggs and Wedge. Zack let Cloud go first, albeit Cloud didn’t seem like he really wanted to. Despite so, he went in anyway.

-2-

It was an interesting site to see, on the train, for Barret began threatening all the passengers into going onto another cart. By the time he was finished, AVALANCHE had their cart all to themselves. Cloud, naturally, chose to sit next to Zack. He was, despite thoughts beforehand, actually kind of glad Zack was coming along with him. Otherwise, he was sure he would have felt awkward the entire time.

He wanted to wrap his arms around Zack’s arm. He wanted to feel protected by Zack, but he was sure Zack would have disliked that, a lot. Thoughts of Zack being disgusted by him entered his mind and it scared Cloud. He mustn’t think such thoughts! But the harder he tried not to think of him and Zack having…ahem…well, the more clearly the images in his head became. How could he? How could he betray such a friend? One that saved his life multiple times in the past! It wasn’t fair to Zack…

Why did he have to think of this now anyway? He had to think of something more important, like bombing and blowing shit up! Whatever the case, Cloud had to avoid thoughts of Zack.

-3-

Zack forced himself not to stare at his smaller friend’s crotch-area. But he couldn’t help it; there was nothing better to do.

“Heya, Zack,” Jesse startled the blacked haired man, but he nodded cheerfully anyway. “Are you excited?”

“Well…” He shrugged his shoulders, and raised his right arm and put it around Cloud’s shoulders. “I am, not sure about Cloud though. Let’s see, how’re you doing, Cloud?”

“I’m fine,” Cloud asked, blushing. “Don’t worry about me.”

“Yeah, we’re good. What’s the plan anyway? You even prepared your self, Jessekins?” Jesse blushed, probably because of the random nickname Zack had come up with. She nodded and took off her knapsack, placing it on the floor in front of her.

“Have a look-see,” she opened the bag and took out some papers. “I just so happen to have the blue-print of Shinra’s main facilities right here.” And Zack thought this was pretty impressive of just a rebel group of five, not including him and Cloud. Oooh, and she had passwords and codes. How did she manage all of this?

Well, Jesse was a very intelligent person, and appeared to have a good sense of mind and works very hard for her group. He remembered that he could hear her typing on the computer when he went into the bar to get something to drink during the night. Yes, Jesse was very dedicating indeed. The only thing that bothered him about Jesse was the fact that even though she was talking to Zack, she was looking at Cloud. Cloud wasn’t really listening, but she didn’t care.

“…so, do you understand?” She asked, smiling, turning her eyes to Zack.

“Uh, yeah. Very…informative, thanks,” Zack said. She smiled and nodded her head, packing her things away and went to talk to Biggs and Wedge. Zack decided…he should stop thinking about Cloud right now, and he should stop thinking about the possibility that Jesse may have a crush on his – HIS – Cloud, and sleep till they arrived at their destination. Someone should wake him up, right?

-4-

“Wake up, slackers,” Barret shook the two boys. Apparently Cloud had fallen asleep as well. “We got us some trouble! Your cards were fucked up, so we need to leave,”

“All right, stop shaking me!” Zack said, pushing the giant muscle-man away from him.

“We gots’ to jump the plane,” Barret walked the the door leading to the next cart. “Don’t tell me you mother fuckin’ f*g’s ain’t gonna jump, else you shitters are out of AVALANCHE!”

“Right,” Zack nodded, ignoring all the insults. Now was not the time to argue about politeness. The rushed to the last cart and jumped off the plane, finding their selves in a long track in a dark tunnel. Luckily, Jesse knew where to go. There were a lot of fiends, but nothing Zack and Cloud couldn’t handle. When Zack watched Cloud fight, he wondered why he wasn’t able to join SOLDIER. He was just as strong as him, his movements were swift and he didn’t make any false judgements. He hit all vitals…

Well, maybe it was his form of mentality. Not that he was insane or anything…actually, it was the fact that he was shy. He did what he was told to do, though. Zack pondered over this for some time, and simply could not fathom Cloud’s failure to go into SOLDIER.

But did it matter anymore? No, it didn’t. So why was Zack, a free-willing, fun-loving man, worrying about something that couldn’t be fixed? If it was any other case, he probably would care less and think nothing of it. He just liked to go with the flow of life, if that life was indeed non-life-threatening. Well, the reason why he was wondering about such things is because it had to do with Cloud.

“Finally, the entryway,” Jesse stated, holding up a cover to a small opening on the side of a wall. Barret grimaced, shaking his head.

“Ain’t no way I’m fitting in there. Ain’t no way,”

“Oh, come now, Barret,” Jesse allowed Biggs and Wedge to go through. “You can fit, but it won’t be comfortable. Besides, it just won’t be AVALANCHE without you. You founded it after all.”

“Man, I dunno,” He shrugged, and attempted to fit in, and succeeded. Jesse motioned her arms to direct Zack and Cloud that they should head in before her.

“I’ll follow behind you guys, so don’t worry about me,” Jesse nodded, so Cloud hopped in and Zack followed behind. He was able to get a nice view of Cloud’s ass in the process.

[For fuck sakes Zack, you’re such a pervert! And what’s more, is that you’re fantasizing about what you could do with that nice, cute ass! SHshifushdfls! STOP!] He finished thinking to himself, and was a little relieved what he found out that the air-duct (that of which I forgot to say is what they were crawling through) had finally come to an end, and Zack wasn’t forced to think such silly thoughts of Cloud’s bum (HAHA! Relevance!)

Cloud jumped down, daintily of course, hardly making a noise, unlike Zack, who made a loud thump when he landed. Barret glared at him for making so much noise, not that he was any better when he got out of the duct. Soon, Jesse jumped out of the air-vent herself.

“Okay,” she whispered. “Let me check where we are, and follow me, okay?” She had her blueprints and whatnot already out, and she examined them. Jesse looked up, then to her left, then to her right, and looked down. Then she rolled up the blue-prints and tucked them into her shirt and went left, everyone trailing behind her. They did fight a few robo-guards and monsters, but they were still quite weak. Finally, they found their reactor. Zack could hear cloud panting with either excitement or nervousness. Perhaps, a little bit of both. Well, one thing was for sure, and that was Zack wishing that Cloud was panting because of…‘something else’. (something like hot buttsecks)

“Oh for fuck sakes,” Zack rolled his eyes, agitated with his thoughts again. Everyone’s eyes stared at him, surprised at his random outburst. “S-sorry,” he laughed out nervously, embarrassed. “I-I just…” His nose was bleeding again, but it was a heavier flow than last time.

“Zack?” Cloud’s soft voice asked airily.

“Heh, it’s nothing. Just a little nosebleed.” Zack smiled, staring into Cloud’s eyes. It was almost as if time stopped…because he was able to take in all the adorable details of Cloud’s face, how his nose was slightly pink, and how his eyelashes were a dark blond…how he still smelled of soap from the shower.

“I don’t give a mothing effing fo-shizzle, yo,” Barret broke in. “Jesse, get the bomb!”

“Allright,” she replied. She handed them over after two minutes of actually struggling to find them in her knapsack.

Cloud was the one who Barret handed the bomb to, somehow expecting to trigger it. Well, he didn’t doubt his reasons as to why. Trust was indeed a hard thing to gain…like friendship and…and love.

Cloud carefully set the bomb down, then started the timer. They had enough time to escape, and Zack was sure they had killed all the enemies on the way here so it sure be an easy ride out. Still, trouble always undeniably shows itself in unexpected places.

As the avalanche group turned to leave, they came face to face with the Turks. Reno stepped up, his arms casually folded.

“Zack, Cloud…AVALANCHE, how ya doing?” He asked conversationally.

“Hmm, could be better,” Zack replied in return, playing along with the laid-back tone. Then, as if manic, he stated, “So, what’s it to you, assface?”

“My, my, such harshness in not needed,” Elena said (very OOCish).

“Zack, you and your furry blond friend know you can’t always run from us y’know.” Reno stepped up even closer, towards Cloud…Zack’s Cloud.

“Don’t you touch him,” Zack protectively stepped in front of the pretty blond, blocking Reno.

“Shut up, f*g,” Reno poked Zack with his pole. “You’re lucky to be alive, considering you were outnumbered just the other day.” Zack thought it scary how Reno could know about yesterday. Then again, he was part of the Turks. Tseng coughed, which apparently told Reno that here and now was not the place to pick fights, not putting the timed bomb into consideration. “Guess we’ll have to fight you later, unless if, by then, you’ll be willing to come back to Shinra.”

Zack looked back at the bomb, then at Reno, then at Cloud, who’s eyes seemed to be saying, ‘I wanna leave. I wanna get out of here.’

“Yo, bitches! We gotta get goin’ or we is all gonna die!” Barret rammed his way through the crowed, and Jesse did the same.

“He’s right,” she said. “We don’t have the time to just stand around and bicker!” This made everyone run, but the Turks headed in a different direction than AVALANCHE.
