Lead Away

Lead Away
Like Weiss on Rice

------------------------------------------

I’ve crossed the last line
From where I can’t return
Where every step I took in faith
Betrayed me
And led me from my home

------------------------------------------

Author’s Notes: The contents of this chapter are a little confusing and at some moments you might be tempted to stop reading because you think you might have ‘seen this before’… but make sure you keep reading through anyway. You’ll be glad that you did. =D

------------------------------------------

Nero felt like he was laying on a cloud then. Shadows loomed over his eyesight, blinding him. Such deep darkness, he had never experienced before. He heard footsteps then, but was unable to react. He could only lie there and listen as people talked around him.

“Can you tell me what happened?” A woman spoke. Vivian perhaps?

“I don’t know. He just woke up beside me. I think… I think he felt guilty about what happened.”

“And?” Vivian questioned.

“I don’t know. He it’s like he wasn’t even awake. He started talking in some different languages. I don’t know.” It was Weiss, he seemed frustrated.

Vivian made a noise deep in her throat. “He’s been talking in his sleep.”

“Yes?” He wondered.

“He’s remembered.” She said.

Weiss sounded upset. “Would it do this sort of thing to him?”

“No. He was given drugs to keep him quiet before he escaped from the lab. I wanted to tell you.” She sounded very sorry. “The seizures and hallucinations are from the withdrawals.”

“What was he given drugs for?”

“He remembered a while ago. They’ve been trying to keep him calm.”

“Will he… remember what happened recently?”

“He might not.”

“I hope so.”

“It’s not good to keep this sort of thing away from him.”

“I know.” Weiss sounded thoughtful. “I just don’t want him to worry about me right now.”

Vivian laughed, but there was no humor in it. “He’s a big boy you know?”

Weiss laughed, his voice took on the same tone. “So he says… all the time.”

“But it should be fine to keep it from him while he recovers if he doesn’t remember.” She said. “He won’t be off of it for a few weeks so it’s not like he would understand anyway.”

Remember what? Nero wanted to ask, but couldn’t.

“You should take a bath.” She informed Weiss.

“I know. I just haven’t had a chance to yet.”

Nero knew for some reason that it was time to rest now, he knew if he could just wake up all of this would be a bad dream.

---------------------------------------------

Nero woke up with a start. He jerked his body into a sitting position. A dream? The bruises were still around his wrists were he had been bound. Oh God! How awful! He heard Weiss’ soft breathing next to him and cautiously looked over. His injuries weren’t visible, maybe Restrictor had decided to heal him before he put him to bed. He still smelled awfully of sex and sweat. His Weiss… he couldn’t protect him.

Weiss’ eyes opened then, sensing he was being watched. He looked at Nero for only a moment, wondering why he was looking at him the way he was… until. “Oh… God!” He rolled out of bed and went into the hallway.

Nero got up and followed him. He hard Weiss through the door. He was retching pitifully.

When Weiss was finished he felt awful. There was something about throwing up that effected everyone the same way… that pitiful weak feeling in his abdomen left him shaken. The muscles in his stomach continued to contort even after his stomach had emptied. He waited for a moment then, trying to catch his breath.

“Come here.” Nero asked, he guided him to the tub were he helped him wash off his face with a rag and soap.

Nero reached over to the counter and handed him something to wash his mouth out with. It burned but that was alright, it got that horrible taste out of his mouth. Nero flushed the toilet and sat next to him while he calmed down. “Thanks.” Was all he said, his voice coming out rough.

“Weiss…” His brother said cautiously. “Weiss.” He grabbed his shoulder and pulled him closer before he held him.

Nero was a sweet one, no doubt he felt bad about last night. “I’m fine now.” He assured.

“I’m sorry Weiss.” Nero’s hold on him tightened.

“For what?” Weiss asked, the food he forced down his throat when they got home or the sex?

“Does your body hurt from it?”

Oh, the sex then. He was hoping he would apologize for making him eat that crap he made him. He should’ve known better. Weiss just looked to the side before patting his back reassuringly. “I’m not even really sore. I’ll get over it. Don’t feel bad.”

What was he saying? Did he think he was just going to shrug it off? “How can you say that?” Nero wailed, hurting his ears with his shrill tone. He pushed Weiss away to look at him. His eyes were calm and maybe a little sleepy… which was understandable. “After all those times…”

“It’s alright. I know you couldn’t do anything.” To help yourself you little freak… “I’m fine though. Just calm down.”

“How can I calm down?” Nero began weeping.

Weiss just continued to pat his back and rub slow circles around it. His brother really lost it… either that or he was so tired it was making him emotional.

“I’m sorry I took my bike… if I hadn’t then Restrictor wouldn’t have…” He sniffled, he wasn’t even sure what to talk about first so his sentences came out clipped.

Weiss stiffened up then, what the hell was he talking about?

Nero felt bad for mentioning it now, when he felt Weiss’ body tense. “I understand if you don’t let me again.” He kept his words vague. “I can go away if you want me to. That way you won’t have to look after me anymore.”

“What the hell happened?!” Weiss’ almost screamed, his voice bouncing off the walls. He grabbed Nero by upper arms and dragged him away from him to look into his face. He seemed intent on looking at the counter. Oh God! “Did Restrictor do anything to you? “

Nero began trembling. He was still worried about him even after all that? He really was useless. “No, you were the only one he took.”

He was acting incredibly strange. “Did he touch you?”

Why was he acting this way?! “No!” He covered his face.

Weiss wondered if he was lying. “Did he threaten you if you told me?”

“Stop treating me like a little boy!” Nero screamed. “You always do that! It makes me so angry!”

“It would help if you would just tell me what happened!”

“What is there to talk about? He fucked you right in front of me!” Nero sniffed, covering his face.

Weiss stopped short then. “What the hell are you-?”

He wasn’t going to let him get off with lying to him. “Restrictor! Remember!”

“I remember.” Weiss sighed, shaking his head. “How could I forget?”

“It was awful.”

“Nero… were you dreaming?” Weiss wanted to laugh, but he seemed so distraught he didn’t have the heart.

Nero covered his mouth. “You do not have to deny it. It is okay. I know you had to take those drugs to make it convincing.”

Weiss removed his hand from his mouth. “Are you absolutely insane?!” He looked at him, almost appalled.

Nero stopped for a moment, realizing that maybe Weiss wasn’t acting. “Wait… I tried to escape with you right?” He asked, starting to finally wake up to reality. “Restrictor caught us and threatened to kill me unless you did him. You had sex with him… five times right in front of my eyes.”

Weiss just stared at him “What?!”

“It seemed so real!” Nero realized suddenly.

“I cannot believe you! Keep me out of your sick fantasies would you?” Weiss couldn’t help but feel a wave of relief. He was so worried. “You little freak… having sick dreams of your Nii-san. I hope you don’t plan on having me do someone in front of you for real next.”

“No!” Nero yelled. “But… did we have sex last night?”

“You’re memory really sucks… you know that?”

Nero shook his head, moving his hand up to touch his temple. “I apologize… sometimes I cannot tell my dreams from reality.”

Weiss was really worried about him. It had never been that bad before, not since when they were children. “Are you feeling okay?”

“Yes.” Nero shook his head again as if to clear it. “That is right… I remember now.” They had sex last night… a lot. His bruises were a result of being lowered off of the pillar again. They had given him a sedative to help him sleep before he was removed. Apparently he had almost gone mad from lack of sleep and absolute boredom. He didn’t bother sticking around for anyone to heal him. He just went home and showered. Since Weiss wasn’t there he made himself something to eat. Big mistake. He didn’t know if he couldn’t remember because of the drugs they had given him to wake up him up or the food he prepared for himself. He just remembered that his food tasted rather good for once and wanting Weiss to have some just to prove he could cook. Why was everything so blurry?

“I was wondering why you were acting so crazy last night.” Weiss was almost frightened out of his mind when his brother pulled that knife on him. He had been torn from his almost instinctual will to slice him in half for doing so… and doing nothing for the sake of not killing his lover. He was almost relieved when he began cutting away his clothes instead of his stabbing him. Obviously Nero wasn’t in his right mind last night… but he just played along with him hoping it would pass. After he dropped the knife to the side he could admit that he enjoyed himself. His brother often went through bouts of forgetfulness and strange acts… especially when he was confined for long periods of time.

Nero closed his eyes. “I did not say anything strange did I?”

“You didn’t say much at all.” Weiss shook his head. “Except ordering me around… brat.”

Thank goodness for that! He wasn’t about to tell him that what he said wasn’t a dream but him hallucinating! He felt just awful about it!

“Are you okay now? Completely awake?” Weiss shook his shoulder.

“Yes. I am fine now.” Nero sighed, everything was okay. It didn’t happen. He wanted to weep in relief.

“Good.” Weiss patted his shoulder fondly. “I wonder why you dreamed something so strange?”

Why indeed? He couldn’t help but feel that the whole thing was something familiar. He wondered when his dream even began… The last thing he could remember was being on the pillar. His eyes widened then and he realized.

“What?” Weiss asked.

He knew why they drugged him. He wasn’t sleeping because… he remembered and wouldn’t stop screaming and crying. After a month of being shackled down he had nothing better to do than muse over his life. His innocent thoughts of that man so long ago were shattered. He knew what Niles did… Vivian told him but he never remembered until then. It went on for years. He was the only one who was brave enough to sit with him in that closet of his. He brought him tapes to listen to. His first memories were when he was five… until the early age of seven or eight. He couldn’t remember that much… time never seemed to move when he was left alone in that closet of his. “Brother…”

“What is it?”

“Weiss… I remember now.”

“Remember what?”

“Ugh…” Nero’s head spun for a moment. “Frère. Je me rappelle…”

Weiss interrupted him. “I don’t know what you are saying… can you speak in English?”

Nero didn’t understand, he was speaking in English wasn’t he? “Ich verstehe nicht…”

Weiss at least knew what that meant. “You aren’t speaking English.” He watched in horror as his brother’s body went ridged and he began shaking. “Nero!” He grabbed a hold of him before he shook himself onto the floor and hurt himself.

Nero calmed down for a moment. “Il mio fratello, aiuta prego…” His words were cut off before his body seized again. His mind went blank then. “Je vous déteste Niles!” He said choppily, his language skills dulled from years of disuse.

Weiss lifted him into his arms. “Shhh… here. I’ll take you to Vivian.”

“Nii-san! Kodasai-!” His body stiffened up against him and he cried out. “Ne partez pas!”

What in the hell? These past two days were like living in a horror movie. First his brother goes all but insane on him and now this. “I’m not going to leave, calm down.”

“Weiss… ne partez pas…”

“I’m here.” Whatever was wrong with him scared the hell out of him.

“Weiss…” Nero seemed to calm for a moment as he lifted him and took him from the room. Nero could see again… everything seemed to be moving by so slowly, the lights over head glowing and fading as they past them. Only Weiss seemed to be moving in real time. “Ich liebe dich.” His brother looked at him in a worried sort of manner before he passed out in his arms. He only remembered Weiss calling out his name.

------------------------------------------

He was enveloped in darkness again, once more on that cloud and his brain couldn’t quite grasp what was happening.

“Is he alright?” A familiar voice asked.

“I don’t know… he hasn’t woken up yet.” A woman was speaking then. “He has been dreaming.”

What did that mean?

There was silence then… for a long time.

“Brother… brother?” It was Weiss’ voice. He knew. “Please wake up.” He felt a large warm hand on his forehead, brushing the hair from his face. He smelled different to him. He smelled like flowers still, his sweet smell always filled his nostrils and made his mind drift off into rest. His brother’s smell complimented his, because he was of the earth and Weiss was planted in him and they made something beautiful and serene together.

But his smell was tainted with the scent of another. He couldn’t help the tears that drifted past his lids and unnoticed down his face. ‘He has been dreaming.’ That’s what someone had said. He wanted to believe his dream was true… but even he knew he couldn’t just brush it away like that. Not with the things he heard. Not now.

“Wake up please.” He felt Weiss’ soft lips replace his hand on his forehead. His desperation for him was clear in his voice. “I love you.”

How could he? How could he love him still? After doubting him all the while? After everything he ever did for him and he still doubted him? After letting this happen? He should have been more persistent. If only he had died…

“Please.” He felt those hot tears join his as they fell onto his eyelids.

His flower wouldn’t have been plucked from him and dragged away by the angry sea. Even now Weiss hung onto him, called for him to save him. To wake up and love him back. Even as he moved farther and farther from shore into those merciless waves all he thought of was him.

I love you Weiss. But his words could not reach his mouth. He could not move, not for himself not for anyone. Like the motionless lump of dirt he was.

And the smell of the sea only strengthened at his failure.

“Just leave him.” Another man spoke out into the darkness. Restrictor. The sea called.

“I…” Weiss’ voice seemed angry before it gave way to compliance. “Okay.” And he was swept away.

It went quiet again and he wasn’t sure how much time had passed.

The same woman who spoke before could be heard. Vivian. “Marianne, don’t get me wrong. I’m glad you’ve decided to finally take an interest in someone other than yourself for once in your life… but does it have to be that boy? You are going to ruin him. He is a mess!”

“I don’t care.”

“But after what you did… You are selfish! He doesn’t even love you!”

“I know.” His voice paused for a moment. “I’ll make him love me.”

“You are insane!” She was angry now. “You can’t make someone love you. He loves someone else. He loves this boy here.”

“We shall see.”

“Marianne… please…” Her voice was filled with frustration. “Please reconsider.”

“No.” Nero felt a chill run through him at the conviction of his words. “He’ll never get away from me. He will always be my pet.”

---------------------------------------------
The shadows lifted from him and he opened his eyes. His body didn’t feel so heavy anymore and he swallowed reflexively and let out a sigh.

Vivian has been sitting next to him for a while. She had never been overly affectionate with anyone, but Weiss had assured him that she cared. He really didn’t need to be told that. He could remember a time when she would sit by him with his head in her lap. She would coo to him and pet his dark hair gently. She was a kind and strong woman. He guessed that flat mask of indifference was how she made it through all these years. She was one of the only doctors here that didn’t wear some sort of facial mask. She didn’t feel like it he supposed.

“How are you feeling?” Vivian looked up from her magazine when she saw his eyes open.

Nero felt like crap. “Better… what happened to me?” He thought he knew, but he needed to be sure.

“Withdrawals.” Vivian said simply, they pumped him so full of drugs the last few days it was a miracle they didn’t kill him. “You’ll be fine though. We’ll just keep you here for a few days to observe you.”

“How long have I been sleeping?”

“For about a month now.” She tisked. “We had to keep you sedated while you were in detox, you went a little insane and you were too hard for my doctors to handle.”

“Sorry.” Nero mumbled.

“Don’t be. I don’t even know half of the things they pumped you full of… but with your mind not working properly you were unable to detoxify yourself and things happened.”

Things happened… Nero really looked at her for the first time since Weiss told him about her. She was definitely Restrictor’s mother. It was like he was the male version of her. Her face, hair, neck and eyes… all were the same. Even the way she smiled ever so slightly Restrictor must have picked up from her

Vivian could tell by that look what he was thinking. This boy wasn’t the first person to level that stare at her… anyone who saw Restrictor’s face looked at her that same way. “Thinking of my boy?”

“I…” Nero wasn’t sure what to say.

“Don’t worry about it. He looks a lot like me, everyone thinks so. I used to love being told that when he was younger.” She mused. “He really was a sweet boy when he was little.” She didn’t know why she even said it. “His father made him mean. I should have left that man a long time before I did.” She shrugged. She could always tell it affected him the most. “Want a smoke?” Vivian asked suddenly.

God yes, he needed it. “We are allowed to do that in here?” Nero asked.

“It’s my office… I can do whatever the hell I want.” She smiled when Nero’s eyes grew a little. “Never heard me curse before right? I used to do it all the time when your father was around. I never did it around him though.”

She had never offered any information about their father until now. Weiss said they grew up together. He wondered if she would tell him more about him if he seemed interested. “Why?”

“Because I wanted him to think I was a proper lady.” She rolled her eyes, pulling out a cigarette for herself before letting Nero take one for himself. “I was such a tomboy when I was a little girl. I kept thinking that’s why Leda won him over. She was always so delicate and sweet.”

Did she love their father? It seemed like it.

“Surprised?” She tittered. “Don’t be.” Vivian smiled at him, it was strange to see on her usually cold face. “He was a very handsome man and for as strong as he was… he was also very kind.” She took her lighter out and lit her cigarette before offering him a light. “When I look at the two of you boys it reminds me of old times. You look just like your mother and Weiss looks like your father.” She smiled with a little nostalgia. “How strange that the two of you would be together.”

If they still were. “Did you like our mother?” Nero wondered.

“I might have been a little envious.” Vivian laughed. “But I never hated Leda. She was a good friend. I loved the both of them very much. It was enough to watch them be happy together and reproduce like rabbits.”

Nero tittered. “They did I guess.”

“Oh they did.” Vivian affirmed. “Me though? I married the next ‘thing’ that came a long and had twins with him. He was an awful man.” She smiled down at him for a moment. “I’m going to tell you a secret.”

“Oh?”

“Not even your brother knows.” Now he looked very interested. “I never had cancer when I was younger. I just said that so my husband wouldn’t be mad that I had my tubes tied.” Nero giggled. “I told that story to everyone… even to Mr. Z. I never told anyone what really happened because I was afraid Marianne’s father would find out.”

“Marianne?” He pretended to act surprised.

“That’s Restrictor’s name.”

Nero snorted a laugh.

“You better not tell anyone though… not even that hot headed brother of yours. If you go around saying his name he’ll know I told you.” She took a puff and exhaled. “I named both of my children after my mother. Mary and Meri.”

He couldn’t believe Restrictor had a sister… he couldn’t believe he had a mother either. He was so rotten he sure he had been hatched.

“He loved his sister… I’ll give him that. He got all drunk and cracked his head against a bath tub for her.”

“Is that why he was drunk?” How this whole things started.

“Yes. He was a strange boy. Always serious! He didn’t smile much either.”

“Vivian?” Nero asked.

“Yes?”

“How is Weiss?”

“Mentally or physically?”

“Both. I know he’ll never tell me anything.” He was like that, at least where things like these were concerned.

“Physically he is fine. Surprisingly enough my son didn’t hurt him too much. Mentally, I’m not sure. He can be rather stoic you know?”

“Unfortunately.” Nero nodded.

“He is more worried about you.”

“I hate that.”

“I know.” She took a puff. “You can’t always protect the things you love.” Vivian spoke in a ragged sigh. “Especially not down here.”

Wasn’t that the truth?

“Just be there for him, hm? I’m sure he’ll appreciate it if you’re there for him.” Vivian almost snorted, what an understatement. “He’ll be happy if he knows you still love him.”

“Why wouldn’t I love him?” He thought aloud.

“If you need to be told, you don’t need to know.” Vivian smirked. “Now be a good boy, finish that up and get some rest.”

Nero watched her smash out the butt of her cigarette into the tray before she left. He took a long drag then, his eyes constricting into slits. Now that he had felt guilt he was growing increasingly angry as the moments went by. He flicked his ashes into the tray. He wanted to kill that bastard for daring to touch his Weiss… in front of him no less. If he had the wherewithal he would have killed that stupid fuck consequences be damned.

“Vivian?” He heard his brother’s voice in the other room.

“He’s been awake for a while. Just don’t get him too excited.” Vivian’s flat voice rang out.

Weiss opened the door and looked at him, smiling instantly when he saw that he was awake and fine. “Hey there.” He moved over to the bed and sat in Vivian’s long vacated chair. “How are you feeling?” He poked him. “Speaking normally again? I can always learn French if I have to.”

“I’m speaking English again. No worries.” Nero grinned. “And I’m feeling as well as I should.”

“It must have been a shock.” Weiss rubbed his calloused thumbs over his wrist. “With you remembering and everything.”

“I assume you are talking about what happened to me when I was little?” Weiss nodded at him. “I’m more relieved actually, at least I know now.”

“Are you sure?”

“It was a long time ago.” Nero smiled. “It doesn’t bother me… really.”

Weiss nodded, only realizing now that he had a cigarette in his hand. “Vivian knows about that?”

“Yes, she gave it to me.”

“Oh, because I brought yours.”

“Oh God!” Nero put the cigarette out almost instantly. “Give me one. I hate these things… they taste like I am smoking plastic.”

Weiss laughed slipping him his pack of cigarettes and watched his brother eagerly tear into them. “You should go easy on that you know… you’ve been unconscious for a while.”

“Yes, yes.” Nero lit it up anyway. “I am afraid I could care less right now. I am under a lot of stress.”

“I know the feeling.”

Nero made a sobbing sound in the back of his throat at that but coughed instead of letting it out.

“I’m sorry.” Weiss finally said.

“You did not just say that to me.” Nero tittered, although the sound of it wasn’t as light hearted as it usually was. “Please do not say it… I cannot deal with it right now.”

Weiss leaned into his hands and covered his face. “If that’s what you want.”

“I guess it was a bit of a shock.” Nero laughed a little again before he took another drag on his clove. “Not what he did of course. I almost thought he might do something like that again. It was a miracle he did not keep it up after the first time.” He shrugged. “I guess it makes sense, why he has always picked on you the most.”

The realization of it made him want to be sick. “That’s not very funny.”

“It wasn’t meant to be.” Nero said sharply, he couldn’t help but feel an almost insane sort of jealousy roil through him. “It was just a shock.” Was all he could say without screaming.

“Just say what you want and get it over with.” Weiss sighed.

Nero grit his teeth. “I cannot believe you! I cannot believe you would let him do that to you in front of me!” He smashed his cigarette into tray next to him. “I cannot believe you took that crap!” He couldn’t even look at him. “And you actually enjoyed yourself!” That made him the angriest. “How could you do that? I love you more than I love myself and you throw yourself away like garbage! Do you know what that makes me?” And when Weiss didn’t say anything at all to that. “Less than garbage!”

“You’re not-”

“Shut up! Shut the fuck up!” Nero roared. “That’s what I should have told you! I’d rather have died!”

“Nero.”

“Just shut up.” He lowered his voice when he realized his voice must have been carrying to the front office where Vivian was because everything was completely quiet. “I love you.” He sighed, cupping his face with his hands. “I will always love you.” He rubbed a hand over his cheek. “And I don’t blame you if you can believe it. I just wish you wouldn’t…” He took a shuddering breath before he continued. “Wouldn’t do those kinds of things for me.” They would never end, not as long as they lived. They made him feel such guilt. He took another breath before he began the hardest thing he would ever have to say in his life. “Weiss… my beloved… my everything. Please do not ask me to share you with anyone. Do not ask me to watch him destroy you. I cannot bear to hear it.”

He felt like he had lost him all over again. He couldn’t help but feel this might be the end if what he wanted to happen didn’t work. “Then… I won’t ask.” He couldn’t do what he asked of him. He wouldn’t be responsible for Nero’s death.

It wounded him to the core. “Then do not come to me again… not until it is over.”

The realization of what he was saying washed over him, but he would not relent. “It will be over soon.”

“I hope so, for your sake.” All of his fears reared their ugly heads. He was afraid for him. “Do not forget that I am here… whenever you need me.”

Weiss only smiled ruefully. He would just have to work harder. That place and time Nero talked about… them leaving and having their own place. He fantasized about it everyday. It seemed like it was so far away now and he could only hope he would see it one day. “I’ll remember.”

------------------------------------

Nero stared up at the ceiling. He could remember how he woke up that first time, every horrible moment of it.

------------------------------------

Nero woke up with a start. He jerked his body into a sitting position. A dream? The bruises were still around his wrists were he had been bound. The gunshot wound on his shoulder was still there but had stopped bleeding. Oh God! How awful! He heard Weiss’ soft breathing next to him and cautiously looked over. His vision was skewed, like he had too much to drink. He had bruising around his wrists, both shackle marks and hand prints when Restrictor held him down. Some of his skin was raw and red from where he touched or bit him… his knees were red and almost bleeding from his rough treatment. He still smelled awfully of sex and sweat. He smelled like that man.

Nero covered his face in shame. His Weiss… he couldn’t protect him.

Weiss’ eyes opened then, sensing he was being watched. He looked at Nero for only a moment, wondering why he was looking at him the way he was… until he remembered. “Oh… God!” He rolled out of bed and went into the hallway.

Nero got up and followed him. He went into the bathroom to retch pitifully. He had done the same thing the first time he had been given that drug. He also felt it had something to do with anxiety.

When Weiss seemed like he was finished he began to cry. Nero watched as the muscles in his stomach continued to contort even after his stomach had emptied. He stopped for a moment to throw up again before he continued his pitiful sobbing.

“Come here.” Nero requested, he guided him to the tub were he helped him wash off his face with a rag and soap.

Nero reached over to the counter and handed him something to wash his mouth out with. Nero flushed the toilet and sat next to him while he calmed down. He pulled his head into his lap and ran his fingers through his hair.

“I’m sorry.” Was all he said, his voice coming out rough.

“Weiss…” He touched his brother’s bruised neck, he remembered they had both been dragged the same way more or less. “Weiss.”

“I’m sorry.” He repeated.

“It will be alright.” Although he didn’t know how it could be. Nero’s hold on him tightened. “Does your body hurt from it?”

“A little.” Was all he could muster. Nero imagined he felt guilty about how he had acted. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know it would effect me like that.”

“I’m not mad at you.” Nero soothed, still brushing his fingers through his hair. “Well… I am mad at you… but not for that.” It was so hard for him to keep calm. Nero felt his body trembling suddenly and he watched Weiss lift his head from his lap looking rather alarmed.

“Nero?”

Weiss held onto him as if to steady him but he wasn’t sure why he would do that. He tried to tell him he didn’t understand what was happening but Weiss didn’t seem to understand him at all! His brother lifted him then and a spasm went through his body. He could only remember telling his brother he loved him before he blacked out.

Author’s notes:
Thanks for reviewing FakeMemory!

01/09/06 – We’ll get to Weiss more next chapter. Sorry this one was so crazy hehe. It might have been a little shocking to hear Nero scream like that but I think that’s probably what would have happened if he was normal anyway.

I hope I still keep my readers – we all know it’ll turn out alright in the end anyway. This is just the long aggravating road there hehe.
